History

Established in 2008.

Cadence Therapy was established in the Bay Area of California and has now moved to the Austin, TX area. Owner, Chase Doverspike, is a licensed Occupational Therapist and is Board Certified in Hippotherapy. While California was a great place to live for several years, Chase decided that Texas had always been home and decided to move herself and the business back to Austin. Cadence Therapy has found a home at Manor Equestrian Center just outside Austin, and is now accepting new patients!

Chase Doverspike, MOT, OTR/​L, HPCS completed her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and completed her Master’s of Occupational Therapy at Texas Woman’s University in Houston, Texas. She has worked in a variety of settings including Skilled Nursing Facilities, Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities, Public Schools, and an Outpatient Facility incorporating Equine Assisted Therapy and Hippotherapy. Chase has focused much of her work in the areas of pediatrics and sensory integration. She also has extensive continuing education and training in the area of Hippotherapy as a treatment strategy; she is a Hippotherapy Clinical Specialist and PATH Int’l. (previously NARHA) Registered Therapist. In addition to her training in Hippotherapy, she is a PATH Int’l. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor.
