Trees Please specializes in native Texas shade trees. We are a grower of 5 and 15 gallon trees, currently open for sales by appointment only. Monday through Friday, we offer tree installation (15 gallon to 100 gallon sizes), landscape and xeriscape design and installation, tree trimming and tree removal.

History

Established in 2008.

It started with a few acorns… And the dream has become a reality! JP, owner of Trees Please, originally began growing native Texas trees as a hobby 10 years ago. He soon realized that he had found something he truly loved! He embraced the tree and landscape business wholeheartedly is pursuing his dream of growing the business that brings joy to him and hopefully to you as well!

We are dedicated to providing you with beautiful products, unmatched service, and competitive pricing. We pull from local tree farms, so not only are you supporting one local business with your purchase, but many! Unlike big box stores, you can be assured that the trees we install for you are locally grown and ready to thrive in our soil and climate.

We also love to design and create beautiful xeriscapes for you that will save you time and money, all while protecting our environment and resources!

And we now offer tree trimming and tree removal services! Fully Insured!

Business Owner

JP was raised in Austin and Round Rock and has lived in the area for most of his life. He attended UT and Baylor, obtaining a degree in finance. He soon realized that being a stock broker was not something he enjoyed. He developed a passion for growing trees and decided to see where it could take him (he comes from a family full of green thumbs and entrepreneurs!) JP discovered the importance of finding a job that he loves and has been developing Trees Please full time for 4 years now… and couldn’t be happier!

Faith and family are the most important things in JP’s life… He enjoys spending time making memories with his wife and 3 beautiful daughters.

Trees Please Austin and JP were terrific! I had them provide, deliver, install, mulch, etc., 5 trees at my house and 6 at my neighbor’s, and I couldn’t be happier with the trees and the service. I had JP and team out on Saturday 2÷21÷15 to install 5 trees. They did an excellent job and were very courtious and professional. The team did not leave any debris and left a clean work area.
The prices were very reasonable for the trees and the work that was being performed.
We will definitely be purchasing more trees again in the future.

I live on a green belt in Austin and did not do much to my backyard for years — despite maintaining all other areas of my property. Previous attempts at making the back area attractive had failed, due to lack of sunlight and sloping terrain. I had seen some xeriscaping that Trees Please had done to a yard in my neighborhood and was impressed with the artistic approach. When JP came to discuss my property, he envisioned a «park like» environment that was definitely in accord with my thoughts. He discovered that a small piece of limestone actually covered the entire yard. From that point, it became a question of «sculpting» the area into natural steps, ledges, stonework and plantings that formed a natural flow into the woods. I am very pleased with the creativity and detail that JP and Trees Please brought to the project. I highly recommend them for professionalism and artistry.

JP and crew were very easy to work with and provide great service. The tree farm that they use has a wide variety of tree and sizes to choose from, and they were able to plant the tree I selected within a week. I will be using them again for my next tree purchase.

Bonjour!
I would like to recommend Trees Please for their professionalism. JP came with his crew and they did extensive tree pruning on our land. Result: We finally can see downtown Austin from our windows!!! My wife is so pleased and our property values have gone way up I’m sure.
Also, JP took the time to answer all my questions and he gave me some good advice on improving my land.
The cherry on a cake: JP installed a swing on one of my tree branches. My 3 and 5 year old daughters are so happy!!!

JP knows trees! He answered all my questions about crape myrtles (color, growth rate, height, etc). I Ordered 4 crape myrtles from JP and had them install it. Very fair price and showed up on time. I contacted JP two weeks later to let him know that one of the crape is the wrong color crape. JP without any hesitation said he would drop by in a couple days and replaced it with the correct crape myrtle. He gave me watering instructions and even gave me some tips on keeping a healthy nice bermuda grass.

I have mixed feelings about this company. We’ve bought trees from him a few times over the past couple years, and JP is very knowledgeable and his prices are very good.
But our most recent delivery turned out to be a dwarf variety rather than the full size variety. Unfortunately we weren’t aware of the difference until after we planted them. I contacted JP about it twice by phone and left two messages, and later also emailed him about it. He never responded to the phone calls or the emails. I think he’s not responding because he doesn’t want to deal with a customer possibly wanting a refund. The funny thing is we don’t want to return them, we ended up relocating them to a different place in the yard. I was actually just trying to contact him get advice and to ask to see if he could also get us the full size variety.
JP in the past had been slow about returning calls, and often it would take a few tries to get a hold of him. But now that he isn’t responding at all, it’s reached the point that my opinion of Trees Please is less than favorable.

I recently used Trees Please for the purchase+install of 2 Mountain Laurels in my backyard, JP was wonderful to work with and the whole process was very easy. The best part was his knowledge went well beyond just the trees he was planting for me, and extended to every other tree on my property and how I might go about improving their health and the overall look of my yard. You can tell this definitely more than just a job to JP — it’s something he is passionate about. He knows his stuff and I can’t think of a better experience I’ve had with purchasing trees.

We highly recommend Trees Please! My wife and I recently had to cut down two old trees in our front yard — original to the house 1949. It was feeling quite barren. JP recommended monterrey oaks. Both trees are doing great. The prices are great and JP knows his trees. This crew is very hard working and helpful. He gave us a specific watering schedule — that is not daunting. And three months later, the trees are doing great!

We had a dead tree removed from our front yard and needed a decent sized replacement. I called around and got lots of people that didn’t seem to want to answer any questions, just quote high prices. I called JP and he steered me in the right direction and helped me pick the perfect tree for what we needed. He was very flexible in scheduling a time to come out and, most importantly to me, was right on time for the delivery and install. He and his guys worked quickly and carefully, and left my yard looking (obviously) much better than they found it. JP was very helpful and friendly, and offered me multiple ways to contact him in the future if I were to have any questions or issues. Trees Please will be my first choice if I ever need another tree, and will be the first place I recommend to anybody else who does, too.

I want to send out an enormous thanks to JP. A friend (a tree farm owner in Bay City) had recommended him and I contacted him about providing a tree for a memorial service for my friends’ 6 week old baby who tragically passed away. Due to the confusion of the week and crossed communication, JP didn’t hear about it until I called him on Friday in a panic for the Saturday afternoon service. He had lots of work for the day, but rearranged his schedule in order to be able to deliver the lovely live oak tree for us at the last minute. When I called him to pay for the tree, he wouldn’t even accept payment, saying he was so thankful for his own beautiful daughters and couldn’t imagine what my friends were going through. It is so heartwarming and reaffirming that there are still great people in this world… to whom making money is not the ultimate goal, but helping out his fellow human beings is the priority. What a great guy who really went out if his way to help strangers get through an incredibly tough time. A multitude of thanks to JP for being a stand-​up, compassionate human being and a dedicated professional. If more people operated like JP, the world would be a more loving place.

I definitely recommend Trees Please! We replaced two Arizona Ashes with two native oaks. JP gave great suggestions based on our soil type. Both trees already look wonderful. Not only were the prices good, but JP is a super nice guy. It only took JP and his crew about one hour to plant the 65 and 100 gallon trees.

Wish I could give Trees Please 10 stars! This is a great company that delivers high quality trees and excellent service. I shopped all over Austin looking for the highest quality trees. I’m willing to pay more for better quality, but with Trees Please, I didn’t have to. I was super impressed with the quality — better than any other places I went, and their prices were better than their competitors, too! Top it off, JP is a very nice guy with a genuine personality and friendly attitude. I’ll be buying more from this company!
