Avante Salon & Day Spa

I came back in and saw a different stylist, Melissa. She was absolutely great! She did a wonderful job listening and advising me on how she thought I should maintain and style my hair.
Melissa also waxed my brows. I was going for a neat but full kind of look, sort of like Natalie Portman. My brows have never looked better. She helped me shape them and kindly pointed out a place where I had overplucked. She was see could make both brows even if I wanted by matching the shape of the other one, but I declined because I wanted to wait for the hair to grow back. I filled it in with makeup until it grew back and now I LOVE my brow shape.
Also — this must be new, because it never happened last time — there was an «assistant» who massaged my scalp and shampooed me, and then later gave me a hand massage.
Only complaint are the prices — they are STEEP to be sure, even with coupons. But it’s worth it to have a stylist you can trust. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I highly recommend Avante Salon and Spa and the sister salon 360 Avante. The staff is very professional, highly trained and talented. The atmosphere is very inviting. It’s a first class 5 star guest experience.

Love going to Avante for my color and cut on a regular basis. I see Nikki at the Debbie Lane location and she is so helpful, knowledgeable and people tell me my hair has never looked better (seriously, it hasn’t). I never know what I want done and she takes control while I am in the chair and makes me look gorgeous when I walk out. She walks you through the process and educates you on what she is doing step by step. Avante is relaxing and a wonderful experience each time you go in. I have also had a massage and manicure there and they are both amazing. They really set the bar high at Avante and I would recommend Nikki and Avante to anyone.

I have tried lots of places to get my hair cut. I’ve had some pretty awful looking hair. Avante has risen to the challenge. Every time I leave I have great looking hair. They give you complimentary drinks, and before you get a shampoo they give you a scalp massage. Michelle is great. I just recently got married, and she did my up-​do and my make-​up for me. I looked stunning.
I’m adding to my review because Michelle is the absolute best. I came in with a migraine one day, but did not want to reschedule because it was for my color. Not only did she take care of my color, she gave me the best massage ever, and let me wait in a dark room while the color sat. She made a bad day just a little better. I will never go anywhere else.

Spa pedicure was not more than «basic» at best. Foot soak was with cool water, no
cuticle trim, and really sloppy polish application. My husband has been getting me
gift certificates for spa days here for years but no more… I get much better pedicures at a strip mall nail salon. Also the facial, back massage and hair services are just not what they used to be. I will go elsewhere

I went for the third time today and decided it was time to give them a well deserved good review. You might get lucky as a walk in, but it seems like an appointment is necessary for any of their services.
First visit was with my fiancé for a couples massage, which was wonderful and relaxing. We also got mani-​pedis, which were nice, but honestly, I prefer my regular casual nail place (Happy Nails). My fiancé got a hair cut, his hair is shoulder length, and they did a nice job of updating it. He was looking a little like an 80’s throwback and they helped it look more modern.
As far as MY hair goes, 5 stars isn’t enough. I went in February and Mindy did a cut and color. I haven’t colored my hair in about 6 years and was nervous about putting some coppery red and gold highlights in my almost-​black hair, but she did a fantastic job and I’ve gotten loads of compliments. I appreciated that she took the time to go through color samples with me and figure out which shades would work best with my skin tone. And the cut– I don’t ask much from stylists, just nice long layers. But no one ever did it quite the way I envisioned my hair looking. Except for Mindy! I love my hair and the cut works well with my hair texture. You know it’s a good cut when you can put one product in it and let it air dry and have it look fabulous.
I went in again today for a trim and told Mindy my hair has been really dry. She did a conditioning/​shine treatment and my hair feels like brand new baby hair.
It’s a bit pricey, but no more so than any other upscale salon. For me, having a good style that doesn’t require much day-​to-​day fuss makes it worth every penny
Also, they have a sign at the front desk that says no children under 12 are allowed unless they have an appointment. So no, there won’t be kids roaming about while their moms get their hair done, but yeah, if a mom wants to take her kid in for a special first hair cut or special treat, they allow that. I’m sorry «Miffed Mommy» had a bad experience, but I doubt her experience is the norm.

I love, love, love Avante Salon. I have never had such a relaxing manicure or pedicure before, my message was so good I fell asleep on the table. My shampoo and scalp massage was relaxing and my stylist was very good to explain everything she was putting in my hair (I’m particular about products and always love to know what they are using). They DO have children’s spa packages and I plan to take my daughter for her birthday. In response to the «Miffed Mom» review with no apparent maternal skills, if you are looking for a relaxing day away from your kids common sense tells you to go during the week while the kids are in school or daycare (so after words you can continue your relaxation till the kids are home depending how early you book) NOT ON A SATURDAY when everyone has their children out and about.
My overall experience… I am very relaxed and overly pleased with every experience I have encountered, so much that I have a mani-​pedi today while my children are at daycare with their friends. ;-D

I really would love to give Avante five stars, as my colorist/​stylist was amazing… butttt…I went to get my hair highlighted and cut today and it was my first outing alone without my two-​month-​old. I had been anticipating some quiet «me time» for a few weeks. I was particularly looking forward to the shampooing part and the head massage. A few seconds into my shampoo, I hear a baby’s cry. I was thinking it was my imagination, but alas, it wasn’t. The cry continued into a wail that lasted for twenty minutes at least. It lasted through my shampoo and into my eucalyptus massage. Apparently a baby between 12 – 13 months was getting a hair cut. She did not care for it. AT ALL.
First of all, mom of this baby — you just don’t do that. There are places you take babies for haircuts that have airplane seats and elephant trunk water faucets. Google it.
And to the salon management, I was told it is not your normal practice to have babies in the salon… but I guess you picked my special day to break form. Thanks for that.
I made an appointment to come back, but I will be checking your policies via telephone call before I return, and if children under age 4 are allowed in… I’ll go someplace else.
