Established in 2004.

Intercon Environmental, Inc. is an environmental and demolition company licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) and a certified Historically Underutilized Business (HUB), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), and Woman-​Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) that was incorporated in 2004 by Karen Andrews.

Ms. Andrews applied her 20 years of experience in the environmental industry, and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, she soon expanded Intercon’s services to include lead abatement and mold remediation. Intercon’s addition of our demolition division enabled us to round out our service package, giving us the ability to provide our valued clientele with a single source for all of their abatement, remediation, and demolition needs. Ms. Andrews possesses a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and with her degree began in the environmental field in 1992 encompassing both operational and administrative duties in various disciplines of the environmental industry. Presently she conducts all of Intercon’s financial, operational, and regulatory responsibilities. She is currently licensed by Texas Department of State Health Services as a Lead Abatement Supervisor and maintains an expertise in all facets of the Asbestos, Lead, and Mold Industries utilizing her many years of experience in field operations, lab analysis, and all regulatory documentation required in the environmental industry.
