To be honest the food was pretty good here and I will come back. Good sized portions and inexpensive prices. I didn’t care for the salsa and the chips were very greasy. The meal I had tasted great. Seasoning on the taco was great and the cheese enchilada was very tasty. Very pleased with the service as well.

The food at this restaurant is not good to say the least. Pass this place up if you are in the area as there is nothing authentic about it. I stopped in here for a delicious lunch after a weekend of bbq. I was craving something different but yuck. They bring you frito chips out with your salsa. The portions are small, the guacamole looks soupy, the pico was all dried out. To eat the sour cream you literally had to break the barrier on top of it. I ordered the shrimp and chicken fajitas. Nope never again. I will NEVER be back and I will never tell my friends to stop in. Our waiter, Manny, was super cool though, I almost feel bad that he had to serve us this food with a smile.

I hadn’t dined at this location previously until now and I’m a fan. In fact I’ve been eating at Mexican Inn restaurants since I was 3 years old. I love the chips. This evening my wife and I were meeting friends for dinner and Mexican Inn was close by for them. I suggested the restaurant and they met us there. The«Frito» style chips are addictive and you can’t stop eating bowl after bowl. Their salsa, even though not too spicy, does have a little«kick» to it. Since it was an evening dining experience, a round of frozen margarita’s were in order. I ordered a platter that had tow flautas and two enchiladas. I decided on a cheese enchilada and a chicken enchilada with sour cream sauce. My flautas and enchiladas were delicious. The rice and beans were predictable and delicious. In fact all of our group’s entrees were absolutely perfect. During our dining experience, our server took excellent care of us. We never lacked for anything.

Most of the food is good. Not authentic, its deffinitley text-mex, the chicken tortilla soup isn’t something I would ever have again, had celery in it– no where near chicken tortilla soup. The fresh fried chips and salsa they bring are good most of the time — last time I went got a bowl of grease though. And they do not serve shrimp cocktail.

I’m sitting in the parking lot after eating here and wondering how I could eat so much! It was just darn good! Jonny served me. You couldn’t ask for more, and he was busy. Thank you Jonny! He was taking care of his other guests just as well. The food was delicious. I debated about even having dinner. I really wasn’t all that hungry but had eaten here before and was just as good then. I’m from out of town and didn’t want to miss the opportunity to eat here again. I managed to pretty much cleaned my plate. I had the brisket burrito. The corn chips and corn tortillas are a meal themselves! One of the best salsas and queso too! I’ll be back!

I have been to this location many times. I am giving them 2 stars because they are consistently mediocre and that deserves some kind of acknowledgment. Most people like their chips a lot. I’m not a huge fan but I don’t think they are horrible. Their salsa seems house made but is not memorable. The service always stinks. I have ordered the Chicken Fajita Burrito a few times. It’s pretty okay but it’s HUGE and I would not advice you to try to eat the whole thing. It also comes with very large beans and rice sides so beware. I don’t like the chili con carne or whatever the sauce is in the middle but I always forget to ask it be cut. They do get a nod for great fresh tortillas. You have to pay $ 1⁄3 but they are legit!

One of my favorite spots for fajitas. And the chips and salsa are first rate. It’s local, convenient, and the food and service are great!

Mexican Inn has apparently changed their recipes recently. No matter what I order, it tastes like they have added an excessive amount of cumin to it. While I realize that cumin is an integral component of pretty much every recipe on a Mexican food menu, lately that is the only ingredient that I taste in their food. And I don’t care for it — at all. The chips, tortillas and hot sauce still score a A, but the rest of the food — not so much.

Love the chips at Mexican Inn. They are like Frito’s. We have had good service each time we have come here. The tortillas are pretty good as well.

So glad we came by to watch the game here. The Frito like chips are a bit awkward(an attempt to be different perhaps?), but the service here is top notch, the food was great and the frozen margheritas were awesome! We will definitely be back.

Outstanding dining experience. Service was above average, especially for a lunch meal, the margaritas were on point, awesome chips and salsa/guac, and the food was very good. Do not have any complaints at all, and for lunch with 2 margaritas, the meal was under $ 35. Cannot complain about that at all.

Don’t waste your time… You would be better off with a microwave dinner… The hot sauce is like store bought spaghetti sauce… Chips where the only item that was half way decent…

Tried this restaurant for the first time tonight, the«chips» are gross and greasy, the salsa was too mild and the house margarita was very weak… So I wasn’t expecting much when the entrée arrived, but man was I blown away! The Tres Amigos enchiladas were really, really good, it usually comes with a bean chalupa, but I asked for a chicken one instead, sooo yummy!!! Hubbs got the brisket tacos that were very tasty. Service was also fast and friendly. Will definitely be going back, but will avoid the chips and margaritas next time!

Service is ok, food is ok. Chips are like Fritos and salsa tastes like marinara. Tried three times since they opened and never liked it.

Haven’t been here in a while. Usually like the lunch specials… especially Arroz con Pollo. The Chicken Burrito and the Brisket Tacos are also good. Today I had Chicken Quesadillas, and they were very good. Inside was chicken, cheese, poblano peppers, and grilled onions. They came with pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole and sliced jalapenos on the side. My server, Dani, did a good job. One problem was that as I bit into one of the appetizer chips, there was a black hair baked into the chip. So I was not pleased with that part of my meal. But as for the rest of the meal, I was pleased. They also provide free Wi-Fi, so I was able to surf the Internet while waiting for my meal, without using my data to do so. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

First of all, they do not have sopapillas and we asked them to add those to the menu. For this fact we took off one star. This place is excellent. The staff is very friendly and do a great job. The chips are different than expected but are perfect. The fresh hot corn tortillas with butter set a high bar. The food overall was delicious. Some people have rated this place low but our group of 8 disagree with their reviews. This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a great meal. We will tell others about it and return when back in town.

I really cannot agree with the low amount of stars this place has. I’ve only been once, and it was a great experience. Delicious food coupled with top notch service. My mom was in town, and we were randomly driving around and found this place. it was lunch time and we were starving. No wait, food was quick to get out, and was great. Will definitely be back!

First the rating is a reflection of the food and not the service which was great. Let’s start with the texmex staple: Salsa, what they are serving is tomato sauce, if someone had brought out noodles I would have poured it on top. We ordered the trio sampler which turned out to be the best thing about dinner. Don’t change it. Now for dinner, I was in a bland mood for texmex and I got bland food, guess I should be happy they served what I was in the mood for. Ordered the Chicken Burrito, which by all accounts is what I was served, rice and beans were good. The chicken like the salsa had no flavor, which was a let down.

I’m glad I didn’t look this place up on Unilocal before I decided to stop by. In fact, I probably wouldn’t have even tried this place if I would have seen the reviews on Unilocal beforehand. Luckily, it was a spur of the moment decision. We were out shopping in Mansfield, saw this place and decided to give it a try. The service was excellent. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by smiling faces. Their chips are quite unique, they are shaped like Fritos and each person at the table gets their own bowl. I will admit to judging the poor chips by their appearance, «What the heck are these wimpy looking things?» I thought. However, I then remembered that I look extremely wimpy, as well. So, I decided to look past their appearance and give them a try, and much to my surprise they were quite tasty. The salsa was a bit bland, it lacked any real heat, but that is expected with most Mexican restaurants around here. It’s not the salsa is bad, it’s just not what real salsa is supposed to taste like. Anyway, let’s get to the main course. I ordered the chicken fajita salad, which comes with jalapeño ranch dressing, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, greens, pico de gallo and sizzling fajitas with onions. The fajitas come on the side, and they’re actual fajitas. It’s not a pathetic chicken breast they try to pass off as their fajitas, it’s an actual skillet of fajitas and onions. The fajitas and onions were packed with flavor. The onions had a nice caramelization to them. The chicken was fork tender and absolutely delicious. I will admit that the actual salad was a bit disappointing. The menu promised«a bed of greens» but it was more like a bed of iceberg lettuce accompanied by tiny throw pillows of greens. I still enjoyed the salad overall, it was just a little disappointing seeing so much iceberg lettuce. All in all? I think it’s one of the best Mexican food restaurants in this part of town. If you ever find yourself in Mansfield, give this place a try. I know I will definitely be going back. I’ve got my eye on their brisket enchiladas.

NOWAIT. Open seating in the bar area.(Fantastic because we were there to watch the Superbowl) Immediately we were welcomed by our friendly waitress with some unique and delicious fresh(frito-like) chips and salsa(Med.-Hot a red pureed version) accompanied by handmade corn tortillas with butter cube. The chili rellenos where the best I’ve ever tasted!(5*‘s), perfect crunchy homemade batter on the outside and gooey melting mexican cheese on the inside. The fajita trio which consisted of chicken, steak(was my husbands favorite) and shrimp(was my favorite) on top of grilled onions and peppers served on a sizzling cast iron platter perfect for sharing. Both entrees were accompanied with tasty sides we chose the black beans and our daughter picked the house churro beans with bacon(gave them a delicious smokey flavor) also included was the Mexican style rice.(flavored perfectly). I have to mention the guacamole(fresh with small chunks of avocado), sweet tea(fresh brewed and perfect sweetness) and last but certainly not least the handmade in saran wrap pralines(kind of like a maple candy bar with pecans) which was kept at the end of the bar in a clear cookie-like case easy for our attentive waitress(sorry can’t remember her name) to hand over a few for later. * If you live in Mansfield and haven’t been to the Mexican Inn Café, located across the freeway and the Super Target, you need to make a date and try it for yourself. ** warning the chili rellenos are addicting.
