Called ahead real early as we had a large party. They took our name and number and said it is all set. We then called again about an hour before just to make sure we were good to go and again we were told all is set. We arrive on time, had to wait five minutes before a hostess even acknowledge we existed where I gave her the name of the party and the number of people. She looked startled when I told her we had so many, I reiterated we called ahead and at that point she tells me that call ahead seating means nothing and they just sat two really large tables and we will have to wait until one is open which could be up to an hour. WTH, are you kidding me. I somehow kept my calm and politely explained to this millennial how ridiculous this is who obviously had no idea what the definition is a customer is. Moving on, waited about 45 mins before being seated, did I mention we called ahead, then we order drinks and appetizers. Appetizers were almost gone by the time the drinks arrived, another good job by this outfit. Food comes out a good hour later and tasted like it was cooked in a microwave. I would say Do not go to this place, I really have no idea why it is open or why anyone would ever go back for a second visit!!! Terrible terrible terrible.

Yesterday I came here after counting down my arrival to Mansfield. I ordered my food and got home to eat it and it was horrible. I called the restaurant and spoke with Joy the manager she apologized and offered to replace what I ordered. She did, and I’m very pleased… Thank You Joy!!!

Excellent, quick, and delicious lunch spot! They regularly send out email coupons, and have a good happy hour daily! One of the best tex-mex spots in town hands down!

The absolute worst service ever! Our entire family goes out on 12/17/2015. Let’s start with our bogus waiter. My husband and I decide to spilt a strawberry/mango«beer-rita». The rest of our table orders diet coke. Diet coke is flat and our beer-rita is a normal strawberry/mango margarita. No problem, explain to the waiter there is an error in our drinks. If only looks could kill! With the worst attitude he says I will see what I can do.(Really??). Diet coke comes back fine, but we get a regular Corona-rita. Yet another look of disdain and says I’ll see what I can do while telling me to f**k off with his eyes. At this point we have had enough and talk to the restaurant manager. Same unprofessional attitude with excuse after excuse given. Finally we get our food. Every single solitary dish is ice cold!!! OMG are you kidding me. So 3 out of 5 send the food back, and guess what all replacement dishes are ice cold yet again. Now… not everything should be comped but come on man!!! Issue after issue after issue and still a full bill!!! Absolutely unacceptable and our family will Never Ever Ever Ever eat here again!

Service is very slow. Had to wait 30+ minutes for a table and then when we finally got sat our waiter didn’t come take our drink order for 10 minutes. By the time he finally brought our drinks we had been sitting 25 minutes. Then our waiter didn’t order my food so I had to sit while our entire table ate their meal and he didn’t apologize or make any effort whatsoever to apologize for the mistake. I will never return here and think there is a gross mismanagement of the waitstaff. Don’t waste your time coming here.

Party of 11. The last two to order got their food first and we were told they were not allowed to bring all the food out at the same time.(Hmm — must be some mysterious Mansfield ordinance.)10 minutes later, 9 orders showed up. My wife ordered cheese enchiladas — she was served chicken enchiladas. I order three grilled chicken enchiladas — I got one enormous chicken quesadilla style thingy. I expected grilled chicked in a soft tortilla and had this big crispy tortilla stuffed with ingredients. They insisted on taking it back, had three«normal» chicken enchiladas, but the rice and beans were cold — they took the chicken off the bill,(their idea, which was great,) and that’s that. The food is still really tasy — the service was great. Just a mismanaged Sunday night, I guess. I particulalrly enjoy the one on I-20 in Arlington.

Went for lunch with my friend yesterday(10/30/2015) and the food wasn’t great. It seems that it was an all day reoccurrence because the waitress said«we’ve been getting complaints all day…» That’s nice, perhaps then you should comp the part of the meal that wasn’t edible. Normally this is a place we come to on a regular basis but it might just be out of the rotation now.

What happened to «On The Border»??? Used to be a decent place for a quick bite. Went in last night and ordered the Grilled Mahi Tacos. It was awful… fish dry over cooked and tasteless. The tortilla, tasteless very thin and fell apart when I first picked it up. The salad in the taco unseasoned and basically someone threw some cabbage salad out of a bag in there. Not going back anytime in the near future… too bad because they are so close to my house.

We visit On the Border weekly because we love the food and the people. Every server is always friendly. They have been very accommodating these past 2 months with my son’s leg injury. The food is always amazing and we love the fact that there are more TVs throughout the restaurant(especially since it’s football season.) The manager always makes it a point to come by and see how we are doing and make sure our food came out as we ordered. We actually followed him from the Cooper store because he makes it a point to provide the very best. See you next week!

Picking up lunch for work. And somehow the Togo order was all messed up but the manager who was named Chris was quick to fix the problem and comp the difference. Thank you for your help.

My family will usually stop by if we are watching a movie at the Cinemark. The wait has never been absurd when we go, but it always seems a little chaotic with servers and managers almost sprinting and dropping things. It’s a little distracting. Anywhoo, our waitress was really sweet and took great care of us! She kept drinks refilled, cleaned plates, and was on top of things. If you want a margarita, get the strawberry mango swirl. It’s good stuff. I ordered the 3 course fiesta trio for $ 12.99. For the appetizer you can choose from a salad or soup, the entrée is your choice of fajita meat, and for dessert, a brownie sundae or sopapillas. I went with the chicken tortilla soup, which was delicious, but a little luke warm. I shared the chicken fajita plate with my mom and there was more than enough food. We asked for guacamole and cheese, but beware, because it’s a $ 1 charge. And there was barely any cheese … Which was disappointing. I shared my brownie sundae with my brother and we both agreed the chocolate was extremely sweet. All in all, it was an ok experience.

Great food here. Came here for the very first time. And they gave me free dessert for being a first timer! Shift manager was really friendly. Stop by if you’re nearby!

Food was OK, but bland, anything in Texas there are better places for less wartime, but this is convenient to the Mansfield Amy movie theater, so it can put out mediocrity and survive forever: praise capitalism

So sad that this place has gone downhill over the past few months. The food is still good but the service is so slow. This used to be a go to place for my family and you could be in and out in an hour. Now, even on a week night, you will wait at least 1.5. Servers are nice but seem to be stretched too thin. I overheard another customer ask a manager if they were short staffed and the manager said no. I miss the prompt service this place used to have.

Food: salsa is always great and 95% of the time so is the good. No one is 100% and there is always a chance something won’t work right. Service: pretty much always good. When it gets busy it may be slower than normal, but can’t really blame them. Highly recommended.
