History

Established in 2012.

The Shore Side Pub & Grub is a beach themed, bright colored, sports bar and grill that offers a wide variety of foods from appetizers, burgers and sandwiches, wraps, salads, and entrees.

The Shore Side Pub & Grub was started by Jesse and PJ Grossnickle in June of 2012. Jesse is a Manson native who has lived in Manson for 24 years, and PJ grew up in Pomeroy-​a small town just a rock skip away. We have been married just 3 years and operate our restaurant together as family business.

Located on Main Street in Manson, Iowa, our building splits in half. On the restaurant and bar side we have seating for 100 people, (6) 50″ Flat Screen TV’s, and a 235 gallon Salt Water Fish Tank! The other half of our building is our event center with seating up to 150 people.

Business Owner

Jesse first started in the restaurant business washing dishes at age 13. A few minutes later in 2009 he opened his very first restaurant in Humboldt, IA. Three years later he teamed up with PJ and purchased a vacant building on Main Street in Manson.

Currently, Jesse is the Hotel & Restaurant Management Instructor at Iowa Lakes Community College in Emmetsburg, IA. He spends all spare time at the Shore Side working nights and weekends and being with his family.

He and his wife of 4 years have 2 amazing boys (7 months & 2 years)
