The sandwiches here are absolutely delicious. My sister introduced me and my fam to this spot. We even had the sandwiches catered to one of our parties. Definitely, worth every penny. Large bags of potato chips, mayonnaise/mustard were provided. It was even delivered to the house. Excellent service and right on time!

First, Being a semi-new resident of Manteca I have solely relied on Unilocal and word of mouth to discover this amazing area. I always am on the hunt for new coffee spots, eateries and fun spots to take the kids. Bean & Leaf had great reviews so in I went! So on to my review… Pros: 3 starts for an AMAZING menu, and the coffee/food options remind me of my favorite old spot back home(Sujus). Immediate comfort for me, as I miss my favorite spot more than I miss Fremont itself. I ordered the Fresh Mozzarella sandwich and a garden salad, and they did not disappoint. It’s a good sign if I am already planning what I will order next time lol! Parking was ample and the location was easy to find. Cons: 2 stars lost — VERY pricey compared to other shops in the area, I found them to be higher than Panera, Togos, and even my beloved Suju’s. I always try to eat local and support local businesses, but I’ve also been a small business owner myself and know the value of competitive pricing, which they are very overpriced. I also wish they offered ½ portions of ½ sandwich ½ salad combos or food/beverage deals like Panera does. The portions here are nice and large, but some of us prefer smaller lunch portions and don’t want chips as a side item with every sandwich. I had to order a separate salad, which half of each was then handed to a man in need outside. For my 2 items plus an iced coffee I spent a few cents shy of $ 20! That’s fine on occasion, but it’s definitely not a daily affordable option. I also thought placing their sign positioned near the Starbucks drive-thru quite tacky. 2-different worlds completely. They are also not open past late afternoon which for those that work is disappointing. Perhaps if they were open late they would be able to lower the pricing, because they would generate a ton more revenue. Just my two cents. Nonetheless I will try Bean & Leaf again in the future… when I can afford it lol!

I love this place. The food is great, the coffee is great, and the staff is so friendly. I no longer live in Manteca but make an effort to stop in for a Turkey Club any time I’m in town because it is literally my favorite sandwich! Thanks for being awesome!

Their Chicken Chipotle w/side salad is so darn good! All of the ladies have been so nice each time I have come in. Plus, breakfast croissants/sandwiches served all day! Yes, please! Also, the Dressing for the Asian Salad is so yummy!

Unilocaled a place to order food for 13 people. Great reviews so why not? Went out of my way but thought it would be worth it. I’ll review the food in a bit but had to get this out there. Would not come back! A mandatory15% gratuity for to-go orders? Never heard of that! It’s ridiculous! All of my years placing catering or large orders, I have never encountered this. Im a believer in supporting mom/pop local shops but when things like this come about, makes me upset and will not recommend nor come back. The owner or manager came out trying to justify why there was a gratuity… kept saying they were a small shop and have to do everything themselves. Ummm… isn’t that the case for majority of the small business owners? Should have gone to Panera on this one. Now to food. I ordered 3 Asian salads, 3 house salads with chicken, 3 Cobb salads and 5 turkey wraps. All mediocre. Nothing exceptional for the price. People in the office commented that turkey in the wraps was minimal. For a $ 9 wrap… you would expect a lil more. Like I said, I wouldn’t come back nor recommend.

Love this shop! Their food is amazing and coffees are the best in town! Forget those coffee chains, it’s worth it to take a little extra time to come in here. It’s the only coffee that really wakes me up and is not too sugary. They make their own chai and it’s amazing! I came here regularly when I lived closer. No matter how long I go before coming back, it’s still amazing. They are very consistent and the staff is awesome!

It seems like people complain a lot about Manteca not having enough«healthy«dining options besides fast food, but the Bean and Leaf is much more than just a coffee shop — they have a *banging* café menu with some of the best salads and sandwiches in the 209. My favorite is the Cobb salad. The ingredients are top-notch and presented beautifully. $ 11.25 gets you a mountain of greens, egg, chicken, bacon, blue cheese, avocado, tomato, and purple onion topped with amazing bagel chips. If you’re from out of town and looking for a place to eat that isn’t a chain or taqueria, make your way to the northside and go to the Bean and Leaf! If you’re a Mantecan and looking for a «healthy» lunch option that isn’t a chain, here ya go!

Ok so I’m sitting in my car in the Starbucks drive thru which always long and of course there is never any parking. I happen to notice a chalkboard sign sitting in the grass. first word I noticed was coffee shop;thought to myself«that’s strange Starbucks has a sign outside.» Continue to read and its telling to me to suppose my local coffee shop and get out of the drive thru line. I read the sign about a good 4 times mind still sitting the same spot in the drive thru line. So as I’m sitting and waiting I come to Unilocal and check out the reviews of this mystery coffee shop.5 stars?! What the hell !?! Back out of the line drive down and see this little hidden coffee shop where there a bunch of older men sitting outside enjoying coffee and having good conversation. i walk in and tell the girl your sign caught my attention. so now that you have me here surprise me. She’s talking and I’m looking at the menu behind her and I see«homemade pumpkin spice latte«ILLTAKETHAT !!! And let me say this here pumpkin spice latte is by far the BEST !! Way better than Starbucks. I have definitely found my go to coffee shop!

I have been a fan of Bean n Leaf since 2001. We had our martial arts school in the same shopping center and I went to Bean n Leaf daily. They had the best coffee and pizza bagels! When we moved our dojo across town, I still tried to go there as much as possible because it was worth the drive. I don’t get there as much as I would like to anymore but when I do, I am never disappointed. This place just keeps getting better and better! The staff is great! Their food is the best! The coffee continues to be the best, much better than any chain store coffee shop. It is a very clean, comfortable and friendly environment to sit and enjoy your coffee and/or your meal. Don’t miss out on this hidden gem of Manteca. I must stop in tomorrow before testing!

This place is a hidden gem! I prefer this place over Starbucks. If you’re looking for a great place to come relax and enjoy a great light meal this is your place. I came after the gym and tried the fresh mozzarella with a side salad. It was to die for! I enjoyed the free wifi and the people here are super nice. The décor is super cute too! I seen that they had dog treats and I thought that was kind. 5 stars for this place. For sure going to be coming back at least a couple days a week.

I was ready to be disappointed when I popped into the Raley’s shopping center lot and saw the lengthy Starbucks drive-thru line and only the single car in front of the Bean & Leaf. Holy #caffinated roadtripper, was I wrong! From the scrumptious cheese danishes to the mellow coffee(Equator roasts) and the #bathbombsforcollege I bought to relax in after I reach my final terminus, this place met my every need. Next time, I may just pick up one of those bomb-looking breakfast sandwiches!

Amazing Food! Pricey but worth every penny Greek salad with Chicken is beyond AMAZING! Although, staff is not very pleasant. Everytime I have visited I have felt unwelcome. But, I deal with it because it’s my favorite salad of all time !

When I visit our other office, I head here for lunch. I have tried the chicken salad sandwich. I loved the crunch from the celery and the dressing was just right. On another occasion, I had the turkey pesto, great flavors. I want to explore the menu further, and am scheduled to head out to again this week.

Lunch — 12:30pm The restaurant reminds me a café that I use to go to in Honolulu, HI. It’s clean, great place to have a sit down lunch/brunch with a friend or old colleague. I ordered the Turkey Pesto w/tossed salad. It didn’t take long for the food to come out. I took a bite out of my sandwich and I can say that it’s one of the best turkey pesto sandwiches I’ve tried. All the ingredients tasted fresh and I’m pretty sure the pesto was freshly made. Also, the salad was fresh and the dressing that came with it was delicious. And I’m not much of a salad person

So, it has been a few months since I’ve been here, and I’ve been meaning to write my review. I would have done it right after my experience, but wanted to wait because I was so annoyed at one primary factor that would have outshined the great parts of my experience at Bean and Leaf. First, one of my customers had heard that they had good food, and they had never tried it, so I figured I would order a number of things. I ordered a variety of sandwiches and salads as you will see from my receipt that I am attaching… Everything I tried was fresh and delicious, and the staff concurred. Cute eclectic feel to the restaurant, the gals who put the order together were both friendly. I definitely wanted to come back and dine-in next time. Here is my issue. If you make a Take Out order for more than 4 items, you will have a Automatic 15% Gratuity charged to your bill. I order business lunches/dinners from some of the nicest restaurants, 5 Star, Zagat-rated establishments that don’t REQUIRE, or AUTOMATICALLYCHARGE a gratuity of any kind. Especially if I’m ordering a lot of food. In fact, I often get a discount(which by the way, I never expect, but am often offered to increase patronage of various restaurants) I imagine I’m being billed the Mandatory Gratuity so that they can place the food in To-Go Containers? I’m curious if customers eat there, shouldn’t they automatically be charged a gratuity, since they are making the staff clean up after them? So, I guess in future, when I want to order 12TO-GO items, I will place 4 orders that have 3 items each. Billed separately will equal no gratuity. :)
