I work with families and couples to rebuild their bond and ability to effectively communicate. I help parents manage the behavior of strong willed children. I work with people who have had traumatic experiences. I help individuals learn to set self care as a priority. I also work with families to develop effective co-​parenting plans.

History

Established in 2015.

Since 2003 I have worked as a counselor, social worker, and psychotherapist in a variety of settings (e.g group home, school, clinic, juvenile hall, home based, etc). In 2015 I began my exciting venture of private practice. I founded INSIGHT (inclusive, nurturing, supportive, insightful, growth promoting, holistic, and therapeutic). At insight I provide psychotherapy and personal coaching services.

Business Owner

Silvia has worked in this field since 2003 and has had the honor and opportunity to work with families, couples, adults, children, and adolescents in a variety of settings. In the past 12 years she has had experience working in a group home, as a foster family agency social worker, and as an outpatient clinician. In the past 8 years she has worked at a local county agency and has gained experience providing counseling services in the following settings: juvenile hall, schools, clinics, outpatient, home based, and community based. Over the years her training has made her adept at addressing the following issues: anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, depression, parenting, conflict, communication, family/​marital, teaching families how to navigate/​advocate in the schools, trauma, co-​occurring, anger management and much more.
