5 Stars if they accepted credit cards and had larger size flurries!

For that once a year event when you just feel like treating everybody to ice cream, this is a good place. It is a bit pricey for making it a regular habit, but the food is good. Staff is mostly polite.

Bring cash! They have an ATM, but it’s one of the ones with a fee. Open all winter with reasonable hours, surprisingly. Not as busy of course. Summer it can get pretty crowded! They have a large assortment of homemade ice cream and water ice flavors. There’s yogurt and no sugar added options as well as the option to build a sundae. They have soft serve as well. There are food items like hot dogs and cellophane home wrapped bags of candy like sour patch kids and salt water taffy. There’s also coffees and lattes. But this is an ice cream place! So I never go there for that kind of fair. I’ve tried their mint chocolate chip — it’s pretty good. The birthday cake flavor is okay. They do this amazing Blizzard/Flurry type thing with the soft serve though. They mix it with crushed Oreos and mint flavoring — amazing!!! I would recommend this over anything. I forget what their name for it is though, unfortunately. I went vegan a little over a month ago and am now relegated to the water ice selection. It is a very dry and fluffy style water ice, not heavy and wet like some places. It is adequately sweet and not too sweet(like Rita’s, gross!). I had the lemon and blue raspberry together thus far, and it was a tasty combo. There is some seating attached to the building itself and some of it open style but is under a roof and other seating is farther back completely exposed. Ample parking lot too. Definitely recommend this place, stop by if you’re in the area!

The BEST homemade ice cream. Super price appropriate too! Getting a small cone(which is still pretty big) with chocolate dip or sprinkles is less than $ 2.00. You can’t beat that! Highly recommended!

I’ve been going here since 1982 when it opened, and it’s still great. Frozen custard twist with a chocolate dip top is sort of their signature, but my mom’s favorite is black raspberry with the dip top. I haven’t had their sandwiches, but the ice cream and frozen custard is top notch. They can be pretty crowded, but they do a good job of keeping the line moving. Some of the seating is outdoors, and some is sort of indoors under their pavilion. Enjoyable as always.

This place has been around since I was little for a reason. They actually make all their ice-cream & water ice. Ice cream is the better bet here. It’s really tasty, and they always have new & interesting selections each year. They also have simple food options on sale. Think $ 1.25 hot dogs and such. Not fancy but serviceable in a pinch. The freshly made waffle cones smell amazing though! The patio area is now glass enclosed, which is perfect for those sunny yet chilly days that have you yearning for summer treats. Really the best place to go by far in the area. We drive well out of our way to go here, passing up at least 3 much closer options. It’s worth it.

My family moved to the area when I was 3 years old and went to Dippy’s our first night in town. Twenty-three years later, I’m still going back there every summer. — The soft serve is great! If you hit them at the right time in the summer, one of the machines will be vanilla and orange instead of vanilla and chocolate. — The hard ice cream is homemade, and you can tell. It’s the perfect texture and consistency. — The water ice is homemade, but not great. Skip it and go to Rita’s if you want actual water ice. — The prices are a bit high for ice cream, but I’ll pay them because I feel the ice cream is just that good. Try getting a flurry with twist ice cream and the cookie crunchies they put in the middle of ice cream cakes. That’s my favorite thing to get!

Dippy’s is most certainly a solid choice for your ice cream needs. Delicious ice cream, homemade waffle cones, and reasonable prices round out the Dippy’s experience. Lots of kids running around everywhere, but that is generally the norm for places like this. If you are in the neighborhood, like I was, definitely check them out!

Nice little spot they put over here. its a stand and its almost like the old days. you stand outside, place your order through and watch them do their magic… Its like your back at the shore reliving your youth. Plenty of seating so you can sit and enjoy an ice creams, malts, Root beer floats and all the way up to a cheeseburger. or a chilly cheese dog… I went and got myself an ice cream steamer! Yea asked for an espresso steamer, gotta say… mofo was good. Also brought home a pint of homemade tiramisu for the wifey to enjoy, while I got a vanilla soft serve dipped in chocolate. That brought me back to me being a youngin(tear trickles) Staff was very friendly… vibrant like… looks like they are ready to make that summer money and can’t wait to rock out. Also liked how they allow you to try out different ice creams they have just incase you aren’t sure on it. I’d def go back again … they have alot of special items they do Also they just installed an ATM machine service fee though :(
