Hands down delicious! Although expensive, it is worth the expense! We always come here for birthdays and our anniversary, Benihana never disappoints. The hibachi is delicious and cooked before your eyes, with a fun show to boot. The drinks are excellent, we also get the Las Vegas roll each time we visit. Lunch is also a super value with their lunch boats, a ton of food for a reasonable price.

Best way to describe this place is roughly 2.75 per bite of food which is ridiculously expressive our service was pretty weak. Got our entrees before the app took 10 minutes for 2 drinks then food was good but not for the price …

Lousy service. Literally took 20 minutes to get our drinks(two waters and a kids milk) can’t make it up. Server was clueless with getting out order out to us. Too bad, we really enjoy the food but it makes it difficult when the service is so lousy.

Went in last night with no reservation, they were booked up until close at Hibachi tables but were able to seat us with no wait in the bar/lounge area. Lindsay was our server. We had a few happy hour drinks and apps, and then ordered our meals. One big plus to sitting in the lounge instead of at a hibachi table is that everything comes at once. You don’t get your veggies, then your shrimp, then your rice, then your entrée. You get the soup and salad first, then everything comes out on one plate — so nothing gets cold, and you don’t end up snacking on everything and being full before your main dish is done. We had great service from Lindsay, quick and friendly and she definitely knows the menu inside and out, any questions we had were answered immediately. She made great suggestions on which sushi rolls to try and we never wondered where she was, or had to wait for refills or anything. She made it a truly great experience.

I love this location. Definitely cleaner and better service then the other places. Sushi is wonderful here. Prices here are a little big high so I usually only come here for special occasions or if I feel like splurging. Im pretty sure you can find a place that is cheaper and have better tasting food but then again it’s all about the experience you’re really paying for.

Walked in one hour before closing and they said they’re full and we could eat at the bar for the same price no show. :(

Went here for dinner, if you’ve been to a Japanese steakhouse before you know about the dinner & show. I’ll have to say that Benihana’s is a step above the mom & pop places for the atmosphere, food & the chef’s. I guess that’s why they are the kings. Had the Fillet & Chicken with the fried rice. I heard some people across from me say that this was the best Habachi meal they had while I can agree with that it was pretty good. All in all I can see why the place was crowded when we go there & stayed that way.

Have been to Benihana’s several times but not to this location. Came for my cousin and I’s birthday. Love the layout and décor here. Friendly staff and our chef was very silly and interactive with the kids. We came for lunch and you get plenty of food for under $ 20 when you get the lunch specials. Everything was flavorful and delicious. Sometimes the chicken isn’t seasoned too well and is bland, but this time all the food was perfect. Service was great, got constant refills and was checked up on a lot and our server even took extra pictures for us! Our chef also kept our shrimp sauces filled hehe. The only con this visit was that I didn’t like the spicy tuna roll that much and have had better. Overall I had a good time.

Love the food here! My kids are constantly asking to go here! The only things that are a negative, are the fact that they changed the birthday coupons so you can only use it during the extremely expensive dinner time which I could never afford and that the lunch menu is now unchangeable you cannot order substitutions. Why they ever changed that is beyond me. It would be best to try and keep customers coming in by allowing them choose their own lunch menu with substitutions if requested. And I agree with other posters, I hate sitting at a table with a bunch of strangers. We always pile into a tight table in the bar just to avoid that. Its really uncomfortable to share a table with people you don’t know and try to have a private conversation.

Had a ton of fun here tonight with my family, we decided to go out and I have never had Benihanas before so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. But I was completely blown away by my experience here in maple grove! I got the samurai treat dinner with a sushi sampler. First off the wait was only 15mins which wasnt to bad we hung out by the bar and got some drinks while we waited. Our little buzzer went off and we were sat down, we shared our table with a couple. Our waiter took our drinks and was very helpful on any questions we had, i didn’t know what to expect but I asked a few questions, mostly what«yum yum» sauce was. Haha turned out to be one of my favorite parts, minus the shrimp. Dinner and a show, drinks and awesome conversation with family! Would totally recommend this place, make sure you have a reservation, or you might have a bit of a longer wait. Bathrooms and décor was very clean as well. 10⁄10 for this place!

I had great service here, I couldn’t ask for more — but I always seem to feel awkward eating so close to another family or group. I’d love to just have the chef to myself and my party, but it depends on the night you come. The prices are higher than other hibachi places but the meat and the expertise is higher than other restaurants that do the same thing. I’d come back again, but only for special occasions.

Always good! If you’ve done the hibachi before I recommend eating in the bar area. More intimate and food comes faster. Can’t wait to have an excuse to go back!

NO. I ordered sashimi, as the prices were comparable to others restaurants. HOWEVER, it came with ONLY1PIECEEACH. The menu DIDNOT state this. I ordered 5 types: 4 were delish, but I questioned how fresh the mackerel was. For the price they charged, I expected 3 pieces of sashimi, as that is what everyone else does! Again, the menu dos not specify I was only getting 1 each. Manager explained that Corporate set prices, and I thought, «Isn’t that just stating the obvious?» She gave me gave me $ 4.50 off. Meh.

My sister and I cozied up to the bar for lunch yesterday. The Benihana shrimp sauce is a weakness of ours and we were ready to indulge! After debating on their many rolls we decided to get the best of all worlds by getting the salmon lunch boats. These small but mighty boats have a little bit of everything wonderful for only $ 11.50! Soup and salad starters, shrimp and veggie tempura, marinated salmon, California rolls, sashimi, rice(with shrimp sauce!!), and fresh fruit. I left overly stuffed and ready to roll myself home.

I have been here a couple times for their lunch. Both visits were for a birthday celebration. This is a wonderful place to have a good meal and be entertained. I love how the chefs cook the food in front of the customers. The stoves are by the tables. The chefs do a lot of cool choreography with their kitchen utensils to entertain us while cooking the food. From what I have observed, these chefs are a talented bunch. I think this gives a unique and interesting touch to the restaurant. The waiter was friendly, helpful, and willing to answer questions that I may have had. The employees also have a good eye on cleanliness. I did not have to make any requests for anything to be cleaned before sitting down at my table. The employees were also happy to accommodate us with the birthday celebrations. The food here is delicious. Both visits, I had the teriyaki steak cooked rare, sushi as my appetizer, and red wine. The plate was cooked to perfection. My friends who sat with me agreed. The food is a little pricier than the average place, but the price is worth every penny, considering the cooking quality. If I ever have a future celebration, I will keep this place in mind. I feel like I can count on this place for good food and good entertainment.

Came in to meet a friend for lunch. In always shocked to see how put together they always have it when I come in. The host checked us in&told us 5 – 10 minutes, which is okk. They sat us with two other pairs, which I understand because there’s only so many chefs they want to try to make it convenient as possible. Sometimes you get sat with really cool people and sometimes you get stuck with the picky people who want everything done a certain way, extra sauce, sauce on side, no mushrooms, etc., or you get the awkward people who just don’t talk. If you’re lucky, you get your own table so you can actually talk about things you want to without feeling weird. 5 stars for hibachi. I got the hibachi shrimp. I didn’t get our chefs name but he was very fun and had a lot of personality. Started off with the mushroom soup, which is nice cause some other places don’t offer mushrooms. Our chef came and did the vegetables, volcano onion, chicken fried rice-which I’m really suprised about because other places charge the same for fried rice but with no chicken, and my shrimp /everyone else’s food. If you haven’t tried the shrimp sauce over your fried rice, it’s a must try. It’s so delicious. Honestly, I don’t think the fried rice is that good without the shrimp sauce over it. One thing I did notice though, is how they season everything with the same thing. Everything tasted great though. I subtracted one star because of the sushi. We ordered sushi and it just wasn’t that good or special. In fact, the shrimp on top of it fell off of it. It didn’t even stay on and I felt like the sushi lacked flavor. Over-all, it was a great experience and my friend loved it. Thank you benihana!

Oscar from(Mexico City) Japan was fantastic. Quick hands, great catches and a wonderful drum finish. I would imagine this is how the experience was intended. We frequent the north Scottsdale establishment, I wish Oscar performed at our place. Oscar presents a top performance! Oh yeah, the filet and lobster was superb!

Our waitress Natalie was amazing. Our fellow diners, not so much. I was pleasantly surprised with how yummy it all is! So much food I have enough leftovers for 2 more meals! But hey trashy people who apparently frequent this place… lets go over some basic manners: 1. No talking on phones during dinner 2. If you need the waitress, don’t snap and wave to get her attention 3. If you have an issue with the bill, have a quiet conversation with the waitress. Don’t badmouth her to other guests. 4. Enjoy the time with your family and have some conversation! 5. Appreciate the show and the training your chef probably went through to make it a fun experience. We all need to remember our manners. And that means you.

Upgraded from 2 to 4 stars, extended time to get a table and the manager was great at catching this, he finally seated us personally and apologized with a huge discount and it was all great after that. Tony the waiter and Antonio the cook were fantastic. thanks to the manager Jim, he saved this visit
