Kalla Lily Salon and Spa

I went to Kalla Lily for the first time a week ago for a hair cut. I had Alicia as my stylist and she was fantastic! I have very tight curls and I am always very worried about getting my hair cut since stylists usually turn me into a triangle head. She walked me through the process of what she was going to do before actually doing it which was so refreshing to hear.
She cut it dry first which is what I wanted and after washing it she added/​fixed my layers. She even straightened it after. I have gone to a deva curl salon and had the same services done and at Kalla Lily it was ¼ of the cost. I will be going here from now on.
They provide a wide range of services (nails, waxing, massages) besides hair and even recently added blowouts.

I’ve been going to Kalla Lily for about 3 years. It’s my regular spot for haircuts but I’ve also had an eyebrow wax.
The salon occupies the corner unit in a newer strip mall type location near the Super Target. It has a shared parking lot with plenty of space. I’ve never had trouble finding a spot.
Inside, the space is bright, although very cluttered with product. It seems like the waiting area continues to shrink while the product assortment grows. They sell quite a few brands but Aveda and Bumble & Bumble stick out.
Receptionists have always been friendly and welcoming. They offer cucumber water, coffee and tea while you wait. Salon services on one side, hair on the other.
My eyebrow wax was fine but I won’t go back for that type of service. I thought it was overpriced.
As far as the salon side, I always love my cut. I’ve seen quite a few stylists over the years. Maybe they’re all that good or maybe it’s because I’m desperate after 6 months. Either way, I will be back.

I had Heather as my stylist and I loved her! I went in without a sure plan if what I wanted to do. Heather did a great job of deciphering my ramblings into a GREAT hair cut! I knew I wanted to go a little shorter but I wanted layers but I didn’t want my hair to look thin… Etc. She took everything I said and created a cut I really loved! I also have VERY sensitive skin and asked not to have extra products used and she was very nice about it and gave me great tips on how to use products in a way that it wouldn’t irritate my skin (such as wrapping my hair into a bun before bed if I have lots of products in it to prevent my hair from laying against my face overnight and breaking me out). She was very intuitive and perceptive! I made my appt 20 min before I went in and it was a great choice to pick Kalla Lilly! :-)

I recently got my hair colored and did the ombré hair style just to add a little color for the summer. I had a bad experience with a hair stylist a few years back and thought I would give Kalla Lily another try. However Heather my hair stylist left me under the dryer far too long and fried my hair! It is so dry and destroyed I don’t even know what to do. I specifically requested someone who had more experience and was one of their top levels for quality of work and experience and now has destroyed my hair that I have been growing out for many years. This has never happened to me in my life and I have had my hair colored many times and a lot lighter than I had gone this time. I could not be more disappointed and upset after finally getting my hair to the length I have wanted it at for many years to come to find out it has been ruined… :(

I have spent my fair share of time on a massage table and I am a huge fan of Kalla Lily Salon & Spa. The price is fair for the service you receive. I have had 5 massages at this particular location and each time I am just as impressed as the last. There is nothing like walking into a professional atmosphere, being greeted with a smile and escorted to a nice quiet dim comfortable waiting area to start the relaxing process before a massage. I have had the pleasure of having a masseuse each time that ensured I was comfortable and did not talk so much that it interrupted my ability to enjoy my time. I highly recommend Kalla Lily based upon my experiences.

I had my first visit to the Kalla Lily salon last week, and I’m sad to say that the first visit will also be my last. The stylist I was scheduled with for 8pm was Jonlyn. She was running a little late, which didn’t bother me at the time — until I realized that they close at 9pm. I have very thick hair and it usually takes around 45 minutes to over an hour to get it washed, cut, and styled — She was finished in about 25 – 30 minutes, just in time to close at 9. Needless to say, this is one of the worst hair cuts that I’ve ever had. The ends are way too blunt, the layers extremely uneven, and my bangs don’t sit right, no matter what I try to do with them. She was in a rush to get out on time, and my hair shows it. I am very disappointed in the quality of service I received for the money spent. I’ll definitely be going somewhere else for my next hair cut.
