Marie Pauly — energetic, enthusiastic and ever-​ready with a «can do» attitude. She has lots of ideas, the flowers are lush and abundant and she works extremely hard to create the «look» you are striving for. We used her for my daughter’s wedding at Fishermen’s Inn in Elburn at the end of September and although I was nervous at first (mostly because we didn’t personally know any one who had worked with her before), the flowers were wonderful! She put together lots and lots of combinations so that no two tables were exactly the same which is absolutely what we wanted. The bridesmaid’s flowers were a perfect compliment to their pink and blush dresses! Also loved the tips of gold that she added to several of the green pieces in the ceremony flowers. My wedding would have not turned out the way it did if it were not for Marie. Not only did she give me peace of mind (especially when I was my own wedding planner and everything in between), but captured what I wanted perfectly on my tight budget. Everything was beautiful; no words can describe my experience and gratitude.

My daughter got married on August 11^th. Marie, owner of Wild Orchid Custom Floral Design did the flowers. Everyone that has said something to me about the wedding has commented on how beautiful the flowers were. They were stunning! I purchased vases for the centerpieces so our guests could take the table arrangements home with them… not a single one was left on the tables. Marie and Tim went above and beyond to make my daughters wedding day perfect.
My daughter and I did not really know what types of flowers we wanted. We gave Marie the color palate and she made it happen. She has the ability to take your vision and make it a reality. I never worried about what it was going to look like. I knew it would be beautiful and it was! More beautiful than I could have ever imagined. It was a stunning sight to see the color pop when we walked into the reception room. The coral, orange and yellow on the pewter overlays was perfect, just as Marie had told us it would be! I cannot say enough about the escort table and the fireplace mantle, what a WOW factor for the entrance into the reception. SIMPLY GORGEOUS!!!
I will never be able to thank Marie and Tim enough. Their attention to detail gave me the freedom to simply enjoy the day with my daughter. Marie treats her brides kinda like they are her daughters. She wants everything to be perfect for them and most of all she wants them to be happy.

Marie Pauly, owner of Wild Orchid, is the wonderful crazy aunt you always wish you had. I found her through a friend’s recommendation and couldn’t be happier with her work on my wedding.
Marie lives out in Maple Park, which is a couple hours west of the city, but happily drove to my venue in Bloomingdale. Throughout the planning process, I always felt Marie was just as excited about and invested in my wedding as I was. She was easy to get ahold of via phone or email and responded quickly. She listened to my ideas and helped me to expand and develop them into my dream wedding. When I told her I wanted a Chuppah made of curly willow, her face lit up and she couldn’t wait to get her husband started on building it. She even invited my mom and me along on the trip to order flowers for my event! So fun, and it meant I really got a chance to see what I was paying for so I knew what to expect.
I have to comment on her extra efforts the morning of the wedding too. A strong storm leveled the beautiful Chuppah that she had set up the night before. She was up at the crack of dawn and at the venue rebuilding it before I was even told something had gone wrong! Marie handled the situation with grace, saved me from a meltdown, and the end result was still flawless. Prettiest Chuppah and overall ceremony setup I’ve ever seen, hands down.
All in all, I am really really picky and had a very specific set of expectations for my flowers… Marie and Wild Orchid far exceeded anything I hoped for. I highly recommend her.
