Naomi F specializes in private clarinet and saxophone lessons for beginning, intermediate, and advanced students. She creates personalized one-​on-​one lesson plans to insure her students’ success, using positive reinforcement.

Business Owner

Naomi Fanshier began her formal music studies with the piano at age 7. As soon as the opportunity presented itself, she picked up the clarinet and saxophone. As a senior in high school, she was named a Seattle Symphony Gold Medallist and won her district clarinet solo contest.

Naomi continued her music studies at Pacific Lutheran University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance.

Naomi was a member of the Washington Wind Symphony until she was hired as the reeds coach for the Maple Valley Youth Symphony. After having her son in 2010, Naomi opened her own private clarinet and saxophone studio.

Naomi Fanshier Clarinet & Saxophone Studio lessons are housed at the Kirmser Academy of Music and the MVYSO private studio. She also volunteers in the Tahoma and Kent school district band programs, and is the clarinet consultant for Auburn Riverside High School.

Naomi holds a permanent clarinet position with the Olympia Symphony Orchestra and Maple Valley Big Band.
