We had the most uninterested waitress I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting. She walked around us for 5 minutes, in our empty section, before coming over and asking us if we had our drinks ready. We told her we had drinks and our orders ready, which she proceeded to write down. She told us our drinks would be right out. Easter sunday, they were not busy at all, yet we waited 15 minutes. After waiting for 15 minutes, we decided just to get up and walk out. Completely unprofessional, and rude service. Will not be coming back anytime soon.

The waitress was not very friendly, nor was the manager, Easter Sunday morning. The food was very slow coming out of the kitchen and not very good. it was the first time at this restaurant, we won’t be back.

Terrible service. Waiting for 10 min. No Hostess. Staring at 4 waitresses filling milk and doing busy work. People have been walking out the door. It’s a Monday morning. Finally got a table. and the table was dirty. Service is slow. Overall not pleased.

Last Saturday noon I had the«all you can eat pancakes». They were slow in coming, thick and heavy, and thrown together carelessly on my plate. Service was friendly but very slow. A very disappointing experience.

My fiancé and I thought we’d come to ihop to enjoy a Saturday brunch. WORST mistake we could ever make. The service was extremely slow and by the time we got our overcooked/burnt food, it was cold. Even overheard one waitress tell a customer that if we come in the weekend we should plan for slow service. AREYOUKIDDING? If you know its going to be slow, have more staff on duty to get the food out quicker. I stopped eating my omelette because I just couldn’t ckoke it down anymore and the waitress never asked how our food was. Had to complain when we finally went to pay. AVOIDTHISRESTAURANT. Go somewhere else.

They tried, just not very hard. My brother and I have Saturday morning breakfast out once a month. This month we tried IHOP on Beam Ave in Maplewood. My wife laughed at our choice because we ate their years ago and vowed to never return. I have a short memory and decided to try it again. Mistake. I ordered the country omelet, it looked so good on their menu. It looked just OK when it arrived, although an omelet the size of a Chipotle burrito is a little unnecessary. When I bit in to the omelet I was disappointed: cold and overcook. I choked down part of it and pushed the plate aside. When the waitress asked if there was a problem with my meal I explained it was overcooked as evidenced by the brown fry marks on the egg. She apologized(she was very sweet) and said she would tell her manager. She returned a few minutes later to explain her manager took 10% of the bill. Big deal. This restaurant is saddled with poor management. I put all the blame on the manager for this. She should have made it right, but her decision to take just $ 2 off the bill for a lousy meal they charged $ 10.49 for tells me she expects to serve bad food. Avoid this restaurant at all costs. On the bright side, the waitress was professional and pleasant. It’s too bad she doesn’t have a more supportive manager.

Thanks to the Manager Only… It goes downhill from there. We arrived at the iHOP and I was dying to have my usual Sirloin Tips — Medium Well, Extra Mushrooms and Onions, Eggs Over Medium. I have devoured this meal so many times, I can’t recall the last time I have ordered anything other than this dish the same way in over 12 different states in several dozen cities across the country. So it’s safe to say… I know what I like and how I want it prepared. We were seated by a lovely hostess and 15 mins later at least, no server. Strike 1 Finally, a tall, blonde server,(I won’t give her name as this review is not intended to be malicious) came to our table and apologized as she was busy taking care a larger group, she explained, as if myself and two associates were insignificant. Strike 2 So two of us ordered the same dish… Yes the Sirloin Tips… and it was ordered exactly the same way as I have for the last several years. Never once changing anything as I have stated above. Order arrives, steak is well done and dry; so are the eggs and no extra onions or mushrooms. You can only imagine how livid I was at this time. Strike 3, 4, 5 and 6. Good grief! The server returned and I asked her about my order and she suggested it be redone, but we didn’t have the time to wait and there was no way I was going to send food back to the kitchen. I simply told her«this has to be one of the worse experiences I’ve had in an iHOP. Messing up a person’s order is the worse thing you can ever do. Especially if it’s something they eat every single time they visit that restaurant». It was the only reason we went there. For my favourite dish at iHOP. So the server must have spoken to the Manager and she returned saying that he/she manager would pay for the bill. Manager never came over, which he/she should have but he/she did the right thing. I don’t know if the manager was male or female as they never came over, but appreciate the offer. However, a free meal is not what we were looking for. I wanted to enjoy my favourite meal at iHOP the way I have enjoyed it for several years, in several states and countless of other cities. The iHOP in Alamogordo NM is the only other place that tops this horrific experience in terms of awful service AND failing on my order. It was my birthday and my staff took me where I wanted to go for dinner I chose iHOP there since we were working there for the week. They burnt the steak there… Need I say more? Uughhh!!!

Just had breakfast at the IHOP in Maplewood, on beam ave. Three of us, tried the three new pancakes, Carmel Bön Bön, raspberry white chocolate chip, and pumpkin cheesecake, all very good, if needed there are four flavors of syrup, plenty of good coffee. Restaurant was clean, orderly; Waitress was very helpful, courteous, and constantly checking to make sure we had what we needed. Satisfied and full! Will go there again, when in town

Stopped here for breakfast after having car serviced at a local dealership. Enjoyed a cheese and spinach omelet. Food was good. Servers were friendly and hustling, space was clean and bright, moderate crowd. Nothing remarkable, but nothing negative either. Worked as it should.

Really horrible experience here. We were actually laughing it was so bad. A few of the low-lights: one server for the entire restaurant, which meant we had to wsit a LONG time to be served; whole wheat pancakes that were burned crisp on the edges snd completely dry — they actually peeled apart in layers; the server never apologized for the bad pancakes but offered to remove thrm from the bill. I still was charged for ghe sausage, though. This was my second time ever in IHOP. My guess it will be my last, unless we need a good laugh!

I did not come into IHop expecting much other than an edible pancake and a pitcher of hot(watered down) coffee. You shouldn’t expect much more either. I’d advise not coming on a weekend afternoon unless you want to wait for 45+ minutes in a tiny, cold waiting room with screaming children. You do have a nice view of all the waiters texting behind the kitchen counter however, lacking a sense of urgency, despite there being at least 8 parties waiting to be seated in a full dining room. Host was M.I.A, and 2 sixteen-year-old girls came in and were interviewed awkwardly at the host stand by the manager, who seemed frazzled and uninterested. When we were finally seated, we had to ask 3 different people to get some cream and sugar packets for our coffee, and also had to flag down two different servers to finally get our order in. At the end of the meal, the manager(who was now running around, entirely wigged out the whole time) came over and apologized for the poor service. That is the only reason I am giving IHop on Beam Avenue 2 stars, other than it strangely holding a place in my heart in that chain restaurant, tasted-good-as-a-10-year-old kind of way. P. S. Watch out for the lights if you’re a tall human being. I smacked my head both getting into and out of the booth.

First of all: Home of the Incredibly Mediocre $ 3.29(!) Glass of Chocolate Milk. Actually, that was that last thing to irk me, as I looked at the bill. I could have spent, I dunno, maybe $ 5.00, on a half gallon of milk and a container of Nestle Quik or Hershey’s Syrup, and gotten 8 glasses of much better chocolate milk. Aaaanyway… oh yeah, IHoP… If you are going to the International(!) House(!) of Pancakes(!), then for the love of all that is holy… get yourself some mother fucking PANCAKES. Do NOT spend 3+ $ on a bullshit glass of chocolate milk, and do not pay through the nose for an omelet that’s like way worse than the worst omelet you ever made for yourself. The only reason this place gets two stars, rather than one, is because the… wait for it… PANCAKES… were pretty damned good. If, after reading this review, you still want to go here(and you’re kind of dumb if you do): order PANCAKES and nothing else, sheesh. Though you’ll surely have better pancakes and support the local economy better by finding a nice mom & pop or co-op joint.

The food is just fine at this iHOP, however, the service stinks. No matter the time of day, they have no host or hostess. They never seem to have many people to wait on, yet they never have enough wait staff. The last time I was there, they had about six tables, which isn’t bad, but they had one waitress, so it was really slow to get our order in and really slow to get our food. My advise, go to the iHop up on 10th in Oakdale. That is a GOOD iHop.

I had not been to our local IHOP for a number of years right after it opened. That was so long ago there was still smoking in restaurants in Minnesota. I was a bit unhappy with the environment and service then and things have not changed much. Service is lackadaisical at best. We went in for breakfast. My eggs, bacon and toast were very good once I was able to order. What really turned me off was the disgusting coffee that tasted like dirt. It was absolutely undrinkable. if I can work up the enthusiasm I will try it again soon and report back. What kind of place has no WiFi these days???

If I could give this place less than one star, I would. I am not a big fan of chain restaurants to begin with and especially not IHOP but I had bought a twin cities deal coupon($ 10 for $ 20) just because. so we used it on a late Saturday morning. There was no wait for a table and it was busy but not full. We were seated promptly but it took about 20 minutes before our order was taken. The Manager at least apologized and stated the waitress had gotten held up at the register. First of all, why are the waitresses working at the register anyways but regardless, we got our orders in and waited for our food. I rarely order an omelet but I did this day and so did my daughter. Our food came out rather quickly… too quick from the taste and look of it. My daughter’s omelet came with two non-melted pieces of American cheese(the kind you peel out of the wrappers) on top. She said it was fine but she was starving. I took one bite of mine and hated it. I opened it up, it was cold, the ingredients inside were barely cooked. The pancakes were somewhat hard and not hot. I told the waitress my omelet was not good and she took it back into the kitchen and brought it back, saying that’s how it is… OK… I did not eat it. I ate my pancakes since it was the better part of the breakfast. The waitress, when she noticed I did not eat any of my omelet did at least state to me. «You are not happy with it.».Well…ummm.No, that was pretty clear when I sent it back to the kitchen. I was amazed my daughter ate hers as i thought hers looked as bad as mine. Later that day, she did say hers was pretty gross too but she was starving so she ate it. She’s 15 and has the appetite of a construction worker so she basically can stomach just about anything. I am so glad I had that certificate because this meal was not worth more than five dollars. This place is disgusting. The bathrooms are dirty, the floors and tables are dirty and the waitresses looked overworked. The last time I sent a meal back was about 8 years ago and it was because the chicken was raw inside just to let you know that I am not one that commonly sends food back to the kitchen. Save your money and go to some family owned Diner; You will get much better food and pretty sure you will get better service as well.

Went in last night, decided on the Turkey Bacon omelette(trying to be a little healthy), after 15mins of waiting, a waitress comes over(not my original waiter) and tells me they are out of turkey bacon, so pick somethem else and it would be COMP’ED. Im like cool, i would have paid for it still, but i wont argue, if you wanna give me a free meal so be it. I look at the menu and decided on the steak omlette, I tried to be healthy the first time, but now the steak omelette was calling my name, lol. so anyway after my daughter and i are done eating, the waiter brings the bill and tells me the had to ring in two sodas to comp my omelette, so i say oh ok, figuring he had removed them after putting in the bogo code… nope, i am being charged for two sprites. i call him over and ask him why is there two sodas on there, and he tells me he had to ring them in so he could use the«get one free code». I right away looked at him with the evil eye and said, DOESTHATMAKESENSE??? You tell me im getting my omelette free, then u charge me for two soda’s that i didnt even have. he goes, oh ok, i will remove it, i didnt know the other waitress had said it would be on the house… no problem… LIAR, if u didnt know that, you wouldnt have tried to take it off the first bill you gave me. he leaves to «fix» the bill and i just sit there thinking, did he really think about that before he gave me the bill? did that REALLY make any sense at all to him? so he brings it back, no sodas. my omelette is on there, and then removed. i guess he found«another way to do it all of a sudden» I was pissed, pissed just because he was an idiot. I wasnt going to tip him, but i couldnt leave without leaving him one. I love IHOP, and of course i will go back, but if they try to stick me with him i will definitely request to be with another waiter. One with an IQ in the double digits at least…

I love breakfast fare and I love that some places serve it up all day even more. I don’t care that it’s a chain as long as my meal is tasty and the experience is good. I have been satisfied everytime I’ve visited this location. Service has always been really good, tables have been clean, beverages constantly refilled and food is always filling. Sometimes a bit too filling. Their omelletes are gigantic and can easily be turned into another meal. I tried the steak omellette which was pretty good. Sure the meat is not grade A prime, but it did the trick.(It tastes like the fajita meat they use in Mexican food.) It was stuffed to the gills with meat, hashbrowns, vegetables and cheese. Omelletes also come with 3 light and fluffy pancakes. I’ve been to plenty of breakfast places that skimp on the ingredients inside but love to charge the inflated price and their omellettes are half the size. This place delivered what I was looking for. Didn’t skimp on the ingredients or the service.
