I recently received Soaptopia Pepperlyptus Rex soap as a birthday gift. Absolutely amazing! I am a new fan! Love it!!! An amazing product! The soap feels so soothing and refreshing to the skin. I cannot wait to try more!!!

This has been one of my favorite places to shop for body care for a few years now.
Everything is natural and made with essential oils. The soaps smell great, I love them, and I’m not even a soap person. They make great gifts… I get a few bars for my mom on special occasions, she expects them. One time I failed to bring her any bars for some occasion and she confronted me: «Where is my soap!»
I love the body slathers, they are fun and convenient because you use them in the shower, and you don’t need to put any added moisturizer on. The body slathers do wonders for the skin and give you that glow look.
The bubble baths are great too… I use them as shower gels.
They have testers for everything, which I sometimes get carried away with… the testers provide a hands on experience in helping you decide what you want to purchase. *It’s impossible to leave empty handed because all the products are so enticing.
I also like shopping here because nothing affects my allergies, no skin rashes, sneezes, or headaches. I can enjoy all things Soaptopia. :-)
The staff is always nice and helpful. I went in today to buy a birthday gift, and the lady who helped me was very pleasant. Kudos!

Their soaps have a really rich lather. Great multi purpose soap. Love also that they use natural oils to scent their bars. Every time I visit my mom who lives close by I step into their store and stock up.

I happened to walk past this store and of course the amazing fragrance drew me in! Now I’m hooked! Soaptopia has a fantastic selection of different soaps and several other products. It’s a great place to pick up a gift or a treat for yourself. The bar soaps are generously sized and are of wonderful quality and nicely priced. Customer service here is always friendly and helpful, especially when choosing gifts and they have wonderful packaging that is perfect for gift giving. I love supporting local businesses and can’t wait for an excuse to come in and buy more soaps!

Gigi from Soaptopia helped me to buy my wife’s 9 yr. anniversary gift. The experience was fun and easy… and I don’t know anything about soup. She is like a sommelier of soap with a great sense of humor to boot. My wife loved the gift. Thanks Gigi! I highly recommend a visit to Soaptopia. I’m clicking that it’s inexpensive because for under $ 40, the present was a home run.

5 stars for a warm and friendly staff! I love all of the soaps, body butters, oils and candles. Their roll on fragramces are very nice as well. Do yourself a favor and try one of the pumice bars. It feels amazing and smells terrific. I love getting soaptopia for gifts because they take time to wrap with cate in a super cute box with ribbon

I drove by this shop and HAD to stop! My husband bought me a bottle of their bubble bath a few YEARS ago at a kiosk at the mall and I fell in love with it. I had no idea there was a store so as soon as I saw the sign we parked and walked right on it.
It was a Friday afternoon and the shop was not busy. It smells AMAZING in there and it was clean and well organized.
Gigi was such a sweetheart and an absolute pleasure to talk to. I would come back definitely just because of her! She was knowledgeable and sweet and definitely not pushy.
I walked out with three bubble baths (lavender, rose and eucalyptus) and a vanilla shower gel/​liquid soap. Everything is also so inexpensive considering everything is made on site with plant based ingredients and junk free.
Love this place. I highly recommend it. xx

If I could give this store 10 stars I would. Wow! I was visiting from Miami Beach and had previously ordered online. What a great store. Logan was incredible. I literally could have bought one of everything in the shop :). I had to finally stop myself because everything smelled delicious. I couldn’t wait until I got home to try out my purchases. I filled the tub as soon as I got back to my hotel room. I will definitely be ordering online once I get home.

Love is just not a strong enough word for how I feel about Soaptopia. It’s my favorite by far, and I have a loooong history of soap/​lotion/​skincare shopping. I’m rarely loyal to a brand but I’m totally hooked. I’ve finally settled on three favorite scents of the ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ balm: Rockin’ Rose, LA Beach Babe (I think that’s what it’s called), and Vanilla Nice Cream. All to die for. They have a stamp card if you buy the large-​sized ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ balms (I believe it’s buy 9 get 1 free). I’m also dedicated to their skincare and have loved everything I’ve tried so far: the oil serum (my favorite), vitamin C lotion, the day moisturizer, and the night moisturizer. I’ve gotten a few soap samples on a couple of different visits. I’m not a big fan of bar soaps in general but theirs are so pretty, smell so good, and have cute names. I love that their products are made in-​house and with good ingredients. Prices are really reasonable for the quality. I know you can find some Soaptopia products in other stores (like Whole Foods) but if you have a chance to visit the actual store I highly recommend it. Street parking is hit or miss depending on when you go. I pretty much always get something for myself and a gift or two when I go here. Highly recommend!

Made a special trip out there to get some soap and found that they were closed – at 10:20 on a Wednesday morning. Even though the sign on the door listed that time as business hours. Staff inside ignored me when I knocked on the door.

Nothing special about the store. I walked in with a friend who was excited to visit the shop actually after heating about it. I just don’t care about soap bars. I took 3 stars off for my experience with the shopkeeper, would give 2 stars since it’s one of the very few soap specialty stores that I believe exist «or at least saw» around. There was a couple and the only shopkeeper was explaining to them the different kinds of soap bars. She greeted us and we were browsing around. When she saw me taking pictures from far distance of what seems like the little work area where they fabricate the soaps, she immediately stopped talking to the couple and asked me in a weird, decisive tone «can I help you with something?!» I was surprised and her behavior was eccentric, looked at her and calmly said «no, thank you, I’m just taking a pic of this sign», ignored her ignorance and got back to my phone while she still continued staring on me for a minute or so for some weird reason I seriously didn’t know and would never know why since I’m never returning to this non-​sense, spiritless and poorly lit craptopia.

I love this place! You are not going to get better product for the price, and all the people who work here are friendly and helpful. I bought the C Serum face moisturizer, and now I don’t use anything else — I hope they never stop making it.

Most favorite place ever. Truly great quality products, great staff, and a really super awesome mission. I wish there we’re more stores like this.

Good to my mind, body & soul. Seriously though, this stuff is great. It’s not ridiculously overpriced for what it is & the girl working there was really nice & super funny. I hope I’m spelling her name right (GiGi) was great to speak w/​& had full knowledge of what was going on in the store & some great side bar conversation. Don’t get me wrong the products sell themselves, but GiGi made me fell good about cracking my wallet open, snatching the $ out & handing it to her w/​a HUGE Kool-​Aid smile. it smelled so good in there I didn’t want to leave. I received a gift from Soaptopia in the summer and returned to purchase more of these handmade soaps for Christmas presents. Not only are the products beautiful, but the shop vibe is wonderful! Also, having become increasingly sensitive to fragrances (i.e., asthma), I noticed that I did not get that uncomfortable tightness in my chest while shopping there (like I do at some of the mall shops that are chain stores), so I went to their website and confirmed my hunch: natural ingredients with the extra plus of healing intentions!!!

Wonderful place to get hand made soap that smells good. They have a range of fragrances and super friendly staff. This may not be for you if you are used to buying big brand soaps at the big box stores for cheap. But, I would still recommend you to stop by in store or online and try one of their soaps. You may be in for a surprise.

I randomly stumbled upon this spot when I was talking a walk and it is a hidden gem if you like handmade soaps! Everything is made in-​house. The worker was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the products. I am actually not that big of a fan of soap bars, but I do love things that smell nice :) They have everything from candles, oils, bath salts, scrubs, body brushes, etc.
Also, she gave me some samples to try!

Best soap ever to shave with. The almond «puck» soap is the only thing I use to shave. No skin irritation at all. It truly is an amazing product, if you have a full head of facial hair and shave everyday, try this product.
I have a nice wooden container for the soap and a badger tail applicator. Travels with me on business.

Great soap, lots to browse! I haven’t used a soap yet that I could complain about, but they are a bit pricy for bar soaps. If you’re looking for soaps with specific qualities (i.e. good for lathering, oily skin, shaving, etc.), you may get different insight depending on which sales associate is there at the moment. Like most soaps, its a bit of trial and error to find whats best for you. TIP: Make sure to tell the sales associate if you’re getting a gift, as they’ve got gift tags and box options that are super cute.

The lady behind the counter was awesome and had great insight. The product is really nice as well. I love that you can see how artisan the operation really is. Very impressed and I typically don’t appreciate this type of stuff the way my wife does.

This was our stop for Mother’s Day gifts, but we couldn’t help but get soap for ourselves! I love that they make and sell their own junk-​free soap. It smells great and it’s great for your body. They also sell bath salts, shower gels, lotions, oils and eye masks. Check it out!

Super friendly customer service and wonderful cruelty free and vegan options. Great place to buy a gift or treat yourself. This place is a local gem!

I love this place! Every time I go in to buy a gift for someone I have to come away with their products. I love their ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ balm. Beauty and the Beach is my fav scent. Also love all the saps. Shop LOCAL People!!! and they are dog friendly, FYI. I also like that they feature other local artists as well.

This place is completely divine!!!
I first heard of this flagship store, or kitchen, via the bulk soaps they sell at Whole Foods. I could always smell the wonderful aromas of Soaptopia products there so I knew it would have been better at the place where it all gets made. The main reason I walked into the store today was to get a couple of gifts for an upcoming event later in the week. I saw that they make gift bundles online and I couldn’t wait for them to be shipped, so I took a chance and drove out to Venice. And boy was I in for a treat!
My first introduction to their products was a soap called Secret Agent, one that I used exclusively on face to combat my oily/​acne prone skin. I’ve used others with great satisfaction as well, so I knew gifting them would be perfect for my friends.
When I walked into the store, I was captivated by the amazing aromas that literally took me over. It could almost equate to getting a free aroma therapy session at a spa. Right in the corner you could see all the soap making being done right in front of you so you know the stuff is freshly made. Everything in the store was neatly displayed and arranged in perfect order. I couldn’t have been more pleased then with the first impression I had of the store.
But it only got better, especially when Addie came in to the picture. She helped me organize out gift sets for 6 people and wrapped them all to perfection. She was such a nice, friendly person, and she even suggested a place to eat nearby called Status Kuo, which I went to immediately when I got hungry. She taught me so much more about Soaptopia and its vision that I got hooked.
I can’t wait to come back again for more gifts, even for myself. Jolie is doing such an amazing job with her business and I only hope for more success!
You have to go here at least once while in LA, otherwise you’re missing out on the fun!

Soaptopia, you are awesome.
It’s a specialty boutique that make their own soaps right on location that started out in a woman’s house. The small batches of soap have kept their quality and all of them smell amazing! The bar soap that I got, eucalyptus doesn’t sud very easily but it is so beautiful and fragrant that I don’t mind the extra work. The liquid soap I got can be described as decadent. I got the vanilla scent and this one lathered up no problem, creating suds for days and leaving me feeling squeaky clean. I also got a mini face loofah for deep cleaning and two bundles of bath salts. Easily the best purchasing experience I had all weekend.
Gift yourself a couple bars and experience for yourself what the little things can do for your happiness ;)

If you think all ‘soap’ is the same and you think it should cost $ 5 for 12 bars at Costco, you will not like Soaptopia. So don’t walk in and complain how overpriced everything is. As a soap-​maker, I have to say you are actually paying a better price for a hand crafted soap made with natural vegetable oils and essential fragrances than you are for a cheap bar of detergent, mostly sodium laurel sulfate.
I am really impressed with the quality of their bar soap. Extremely impressed. The fragrances come through beautiful and vibrant, which is tough to do. And the soap has a luxurious, creamy lather that I haven’t been able to replicate.
I bought bars of soap, lip balms, the ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ oils, and the massage candle as gifts for myself, my cousin, and her friend. The only thing I would not repurchase for myself is the lip balm because I have very dry lips and they aren’t quite moisturizing enough for me, but they would be awesome for most people.
The ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ is genius. It is a mix of decadent rich body cream laced with luxurious oil to give it more slip. Every one has a gorgeous scent and I had a really tough time picking.
I love this store and the products. They make superb gifts for others or yourself. They are perfect– luxurious and unique for a great price.

I bought a bar of Crème Vanilla on sale at my local health food store. Only got one bar as I knew nothing of this company. I now wish I’d bought every bar there. I have to be careful as I have chemical sensitivities. I am savoring this bar as it is the most delectable vanilla I’ve ever allowed into my sences. I just walk into the bathroom & it’s wonderful deep aroma hits me & reminds me to go look up that website. Just the package it comes in gives you a clue about the company. You will not want to throw it away. Artistically done with love! I can’t wait to try some other scents.
