Been hearing about this place, go in and there is a line to get fish of course. Stand in line, its 6:05 an hour and five minutes after they open. My family and I get to being the next to order our food. The owner says to all, every behind this guy we are out of fish. Hour and 5 minutes and they are out of fish, great on inventory, and no idea how to feed people that will be coming in on Friday, I guess if you are independent and don’t give a shit you can do what you want. Piss poor management and lack of care of the customer. Of course they don’t care, they settle. I have better places to spend my money, oh that would be people that have their head out of their asses.

Catfish was great like it always is, one of my favorite places to eat in marble falls. Just make sure you bring some cash because they dont take plastic.

After reading about Ken’s catfish, I have to say I was quite disappointed. I’ve never had catfish so tasteless. Looked great but tasted blah. The tartar sauce didn’t improve things, I seemed like warm mayo with pickles in it. The hushpuppies were likewise bland. I didn’t have any side dishes as I got the 4 piece a la carte to-go. When I arrived at noon, the tables were full and there was a short line. I decided to take my order to go and not take a table for one diner. I waited for about 25 mins, which was reasonable for the level of business. I didn’t see any staff except for two women, one working the register and in the dark for some reason. I’ve tried to get Unilocal to fix the hours several times and nothing changes. The place is only open Mon — Fri from 10:30am to 2pm. Then on Thurs & Fri from 5pm to 7pm. And they really do run out of catfish, I tried them at 1:45 on a previous day! Where can you get better catfish? I’d try The Real New Orleans for a large delicious fillet. The Farm House is more thrifty and serves your choice of small tasty pieces — and they still have All-you-can-eat on weekdays. Heck, even Storm’s serves up some tasty catfish fingers with good sauce.

My husband and I just LOVE this catfish! It is fresh and fried when ordered, so be prepared for a wait. The sides are small, but fresh. I like the pickled beets. You wouldn’t want large portions of sides since all you will want to eat is the catfish! The place is a real dive. You will find mostly elderly locals eating here. And it isn’t often that the chef delivers the food to you personally! Make a note of the hours. I swear it is hard to find it open and without a line.

I’ve been coming here for years now and I’ve never been disappointed. It’s just good old fried seafood-texas style. The kind of food your grandma would make. Definitely worth coming to-especially since its super affordable!
