Great place to spend $$ and get top level food. Excellent oysters, shrimp, clams, fillet mignon, delicious, definitely try this place you will like it.

Turtle Cove Bar & Grille is a top tier north shore restaurant. I had friends visiting from out of town who know and appreciate great food, so I confidently made dinner reservations for last night(5÷21÷16). Their wine list offers quality wines at all price points. The clam chowder was outstanding, but the hot and sour soup was truly exceptional. I can say without hesitation it was the best hot and sour soup I’ve ever tasted; it had so many layers of flavor and the perfect amount of «heat». We shared small plates of fried calamari and lobster lettuce wraps as appetizers. The calamari was cooked to perfection and the lobster wraps were fresh and tasty. The entrees we enjoyed were the lobster scampi linguine, double-thick bone-in pork chop and pan-seared chicken au jus. The lobster was fresh off the boat, the linguine cooked al dente and the proper amount of garlic and other spices to harmonize the dish. The pork chop was at least double thick and was so tender and flavorful. A far as the chicken goes, it’s hard for me to get excited about«simple chicken» as an entrée, but it could very well blow your mind it was that good. I believe your expectations will be exceeded should you decide to dine here. Bön appétit!

From start to finish, this place is amazing. From the greeting from Stephane Colinet, the owner, who works so hard all night… to the staff behind the bar… all on top of their game. The drinks are AWESOME and the food is over-the-top to die for. I had the pork chop — thick and tender and huge… easily two meals(which it was because I couldn’t finish it). The food is prepared and presented so precisely and expertly. I can’t wait to go back and try something off the smaller meals menu. The music is playing at a perfect level and the place was bustling on a Saturday night and you can still hear each other talk. I hardly saw an empty seat in the place! Parking is so easy, as there is a lot right there. And there were a couple of TVs on, not so conspicuous, but great to have there. It’s worth the half-hour drive and we can’t wait to do it again!

Two stars for the atmosphere, zero for the service. The décor was lovely and we found a cozy spot on a couch in the corner that suited our needs for the evening. Most people were friendly except for our bartender. She single handily ruined this experience for me. She was rude enough to seem out of place in such an elegant establishment. Her crankiness was enough to ruin the mood and left me feeling embarrassed for Turtle Cove. I would return only under the rarest of circumstances.

The food exceeds your expectations. Everything is perfectly and expertly prepared, a celebration of the basics… I hope to come again and see them do 1 or2 things a bit experimental… Then they will blow my doors off.

Very nice seating with good ambience. swordfish was wonderful. I think the meals should include a potatoe or vegetable instead of charging separate for everything. Wait staff was helpful.

I absolutely love this place. My wife and I come here all the time. I have tried almost everything on the menu and would recommend it all. I have tried burgers from every place around, and here is the best. All the food is so fresh and prepared to perfection. Stephan is an amazing person and me and my wife appreciate his awesome hospitality. Nicole at the bar is the best. We always have so much when we go and are so glad they are here in town.

Turtle Cove offers everything I look for in a fine dining experience. The décor is modern and chic, and the ambiance is warm and inviting. The staff and owners are the friendliest you will find and are super attentive and friendly. I came with friends to celebrate a birthday, and our plan to stay only for appetizers turned into staying for hours and inviting our husbands to join us for dinner, as we were having such an enjoyable time! The wine list is extensive and I enjoyed both the Ruffino Prosecco and the Blanc de Bleu Sparkling. The variety on the wine list is nice, and there is a taste for every palate. The oysters were fresh and I could tell they were just shucked. The mignonette was very tasty. The Lobster Lettuce Wraps were another delicious appetizer, and a healthy take on a lobster roll! The combination of lobster and avocado was a perfect pair, and the lettuce provided nice texture with the lobster. We also enjoyed the Fried Calamari, which was served with a citrus chili aioli. I’m not lying when I say this may be the best calamari I’ve ever tasted! The calamari pieces were large and the batter was delicious! My husband enjoyed the lamb lollipops served with a mint pesto, and the others in my party raved about the tuna tartare, the grilled flatbread, the filet mignon with au poivre, and the scalloped potatoes. In addition to the appetizers and entrees being incredibly delicious, the desserts were just as good! It was hard to save room for them, but I’m glad we ordered them because they are definitely the best desserts you will find in the area. The chocolate soufflé/cake was warm, gooey and melted in your mouth! The crème brûlée was also incredible– I highly recommend it! The menu at Turtle Cove is full of delicious sounding entrees and I can’t wait to come back and try other items!

What a horrible experience. Staff behind the bar was completely overwhelmed, they kept running out of martini glasses, and the wedge salad was average at best. I was very unimpressed right out of the gate, and I’d comment on the entrée but never got that far. When the owner found an opportunity between frantically trying to keep the bar in order and stocking martini glasses to ask how I was doing, I gave him an honest critique and informed him that he had been barking in my ear(to the bartenders), which he was and it was unpleasant. Well, what does he do? Gets pissy and tells me since he’s the owner he can do whatever he wants. Then he said I can leave if I want. Well, Im the customer and I can leave and never come back so that’s what I’m doing. He’s an arrogant SOB that can’t take honest criticism so if he doesn’t want my business he won’t get it. Was I maybe a little blunt? Sure but I was straightforward and I didn’t yell or get angry. I just told it like it is, which is what I’m doing here. He threw a temper tantrum and yelled at me like a 5 year old. So I wished him luck and left. Maybe he should refrain from asking customers how they are doing? They would be my advice. Oh, and buy some more martini glasses.

Stephane is a dear friend of my family’s. We have known him for years and are more than happy about his current and future success with his restaurant. The food is always perfect. His knowledge of wine and French cuisine is top notch. His product is always fresh … Always. If it’s shellfish, vegetables or meat you can rest assure it is as fresh and local as possible. The staff is timely, polite and will bend over backwards to assure you have a fantastic experience. You will not be dissatisfied with any part of your time spent with Stephane, I assure you. There simply is no better in the business.

Had dinner on a Friday night. When we were seated, we realized that half the dining room(at least 6 tables) was filled with a wedding rehearsal party. We worried that service would suffer, and thought about leaving. I’m glad we stayed. Although the large party made the dining room a bit noisy, the service was excellent. We had lamb lollipops to start. Two sides(potatoes gratin and beans). One steak and one seared scallops. All was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I would have given this place 5 stars had they warned us about the party when we called for a reservation. The failure to do so was a bit tacky.

Everything we had on the menu tasted phenomenal. The oysters were from Falmouth that night and were extra tasty! I recommend the salads– especially the snow crab caprese and caesar. The restaurant is decorated well and the service is great. It has a romantic, yet family-friendly feel to it. Enjoy!

Went here on a Monday night with a party of 3. Had calamari and escargot for apps. Loved them both. My wife got the chowder and although it tasted ok, was WAY too thick. The other two of us had Ceaser Salads. They came in a chedda cheese blanket that was awesome. There was a lot of cutting, as the Romaine was a half head and grilled. Tasted great. Both of my other guests ordered the Seafood Stew and raved about it, and I had an incredibly good Large Pork Chop. We will be back.

EVERY time I have eaten here, it’s always been exemplary. Somehow, they make the BEST lobster tail as a part of the«Beef and«Reef» dinner. The tuna tartare appetizer, as well as the lobster lettuce wraps are to die for. Couple that with the Blac du Blu champagne for a really special night out. I hope you get the opportunity to meet Stefan, the ebullient owner! He will make you feel like family, welcome and feed you ’til you’re full and happy!

Just had another great meal and experience at turtle cove. The tuna crudo special was perfect, great fresh fish served perfectly. Consistently great food with great service . And the owner Stephan is another reason to visit, his hospitality and wine knowledge are world class. His attention to detail and pursuit of local seafood shows in the menu. Highly recommend.

My husband and I decided to stop in at Turtle Cove on a Thursday night. It looked like it was a Saturday night inside! The place was hoppin’ and there was a 20 minute wait for tables. Luckily, we scored two seats at the bar and decided to eat there. Upon entering, the bar area is to the left. It features an L-shaped bar with probably about 12 seats. There are also hi-top tables and booth seating as well. Behind the hostess station, there is a unique lounge area with low tables, low director chairs and white low-slung comfy cushioned chairs where groups of friends can sit around sipping drinks and try the small plates. To the right, there is a more formal dining room for an intimate dining experience. The décor is sleek, modern and inviting. The walls are painted in deep neutrals which counterbalances all the splashes of white. The bartender was super nice and quick to pop over to give us menus and take drink orders. Unfortunately, their tap system was down, but he indicated that was being fixed. Instead, we both decided on some bottled Mayflower beers while we looked over the menu. The menu features a lot of seafood(as it should in a seaside town) and raw bar options, but also has lots of steak as well. To start, we ordered the charcuterie platter. There were three kinds of meat and two cheeses, plus pâté, coarse mustard, olives and dried apricots. We enjoyed it so much that my husband decided to reserve some of the bleu cheese for the 4 oz petite filet that he ordered for his meal. I went with the seafood stew. The broth was divine and I ate too much bread in my effort to soak up as much of it as possible. There were mussels, shrimp and lobster featured and some kind of veggie(maybe cabbage??) but I wasn’t sure. The stewed tomatoes were amazing. I don’t usually wax poetic about tomatoes, but however they were prepared in that broth tasted close to perfection. My husband really enjoyed his filet. He also ordered a side of the scalloped potatoes which was more than generous enough to feed both of us. It was ooey, gooey cheesy — not too gooey… and I would like to order a tray of it to go, please. Hands down, we both loved the place. We had a little extra treat as the owner had a professional food photographer in. It was neat to watch the photographer have at it. And then, to boot, they had this crazy blue champagne they were shooting and since they had to open a couple bottles — some of us sitting at the bar were given a free taste! It has a hint of blueberry in it. A little too sweet for me, but it was a generous gesture made by the owner to include us in the moment. Can’t wait to come back and explore the menu further!
