Maricopa Self Storage

Beware of mice! Had my things in this storage for about 3 years always paid on time. My husband and I decided to empty out our storage the night before payment was due, however we already had paid early. I called on the day our payment was due to ask for some kind of a refund ANYTHING, and was told I could get nothing back! I really don’t think that’s fair so rent at your own risk.

I am so impressed with this establishment. Last weekend I was in need of a storage unit I stumbled upon Maricopa Self Storage on John Wayne. I had the best experience there. Management and staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and professional. They gave the best rate do not go off their internet rate it’s best to go in person their price is unbeatable. They even came out to give us cold bottles of water during our move in the hot sun. They also keep the place very clean. I highly recommend them you won’t be sorry.

Well, I signed up for a unit so I could have a place to store my things while waiting to move into my apartment. Upon move in I requested a 5X10 air conditioned unit. When I brought my UHaul with my stuff, I couldn’t find the unit, which I later found out that those units were behind the office. I ended up putting my stuff in an open unit, one that was much bigger and much more expensive. There was no emergency line to call or anything.
After everything was unloaded, because the property closed while we were there, I couldn’t get out of the property, and as I mentioned, no emergency number. If you call their number after hours, you just leave a message. The owners live on the property, so eventually the wife came out and opened the gate so we could leave. But that was after some yelling and banging on the windows.
So fast forward to move out time. I distinctly remember the wife telling that I needed to give 10 day move out notice. So I call and they say that I am still responsible for the entire month because I didn’t call 10 days before the due date. Now, I’m stuck with a $ 168 bill for the unit, a size that I didn’t want in the first place!
