This place will SCAM!!! I went with family and friends to celebrate a birthday and A few weeks prior to the jump we called to make sure the birthday girl can jump because of certain situations and to set times. They told us we are good and we had to pay $ 50 deposit so we did. The day of the jump we get there on time pay the rest and watch the video. Now they tell the birthday girl that she can’t jump and we told them we called a few weeks prior and they said it was ok. So because the birthday girl can’t jump she wanted her money back and they tell her sorry no refunds. We had to fight for them to give us our money back but we still lost the deposit. How can they take the money and right after tell us we can’t jump and not give out money back.

A friend and I went out to try this for the first time ever. What a blast! Steven was great. They take great care and I wish I could do this everyday!

This was my 2^nd time diving and it was amazing! I love the feeling of free falling and when Steffan was teaching me how to spin it helped make the fall so much more enjoyable. Steffan was amazing and made me feel calm and made me have an amazing time. I canmot wait to skydive again. Hopefully i can get Steffan as my instructor again! He mad eit so fun!

If you get bumped around its a day activity understand stufF happens radio goes out, bad airspace, bad crosswinds. Don’t complain if it’s a little later or after this is a big deal!

Was intense and the moment happened boom I was airborne and loved every minute. At the end I walk a little taller and feel good about bringing all my friends. Adrenaline junkie officially satisfied.

All four of us were first time jumpers and had an amazing experience. Each of us were paired with great partners who made us laugh and feel safe all at the same time, somehow the longer we were in the plane the more relaxed I felt. Such a fun experience! Definitely would do it again!

I came up from Tucson for my first ever tandem jump. It was absolutely amazing. The staff was friendly and I want to thank Willie for strapping himself to my 6 foot 2 carcass lol. It was a wild ride that I will never forget. I plan on doing it again.

What an amazing experience!!! This was my first jump, and Tim was the most amazing instructor I could have asked for! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, everyone was awesome!

After signing up about 2 months ago for the accelerated parachutist program (and paying the $ 1500 course fee), I had to start overlooking extremely unprofessional and questionable practices at Skydive Phoenix. I watched as they absolutely enforced their «no refunds even for acts of God» policy and completely ignored my time. I would arrive at 9AM and get sometimes a single jump in, at most 2 during an 8 hour day. While many of the instructors, including the owner, are ex-​Military jumpers, this operation is extremely unprofessional. They simply are not «on point» enough to entrust your health and well being to. How so?
Two weeks ago I was prepping for my 4^th ASP jump. During the inspection, my instructor noticed a the ripcord was broken. This gave me shivers that a packer would put a shute up with an obvious issue. The packers on hand replace the ripcord. This was my second jump of the day and I knew it might be weeks before I had another chance to jump.
Low and behold, the shute did in fact have tangled lines when I pulled. The left side lines were twisted causing a hard left had turn, but I could fly the shute well enough. I flew to the landzone and landed really hard.
It was touching the outpouring from everyone that came out: «are you ok?», «don’t move», «lay there for a while». These were people that I have jumped out of airplanes with and you develop a strong bond with them. I love these guys.
As I am laying on the ground with a visiting nurse helping assess my injuries, the support kept coming in «be careful you landed hard. you might have internal injuries.»
Then Mark the owner shows up. To add to my shock and dismay he literally stood over me, interrupted the visiting nurse doing triage and started yelling how I had screwed up the landing. I calmly told him the left lines where twisted. He called me a liar and continued berating my abilities (4^th jump right?), continuing his interruption of the damage assessment. Laying on my back, I finally had to tell him to shut up in order to complete my damage assessment. He stalked off, jumped the next flight and went skydiving likely hoping I would be gone before he landed. Meanwhile Carol the RN drove me to the ER. While I did not have any broken bones, I have never had so much tissue damage (or pain) in my life. I have been off work for a week. The first 3 days I literally could not walk at all. This progressed to being able to stand. I can now hobble short distances and am optimistic about a full recovery.
As it stands, I am still absolutely disgusted at Mark the Owner’s complete disregard for my well being and complete focus on his blame the student — cover his tail mentality.
Do read the shady business practice reviews — I have seen all of them in play repeatedly. As it is now I am walking away from $ 600 in remaining jumps and consider it a very small price for a lesson into Mark’s business focus.
If you are anything but an extremely experienced jumper with your own equipment, avoid Skydive Phoenix at all costs.

This establishment, especially the so called «manager» is absolutely the worst! We are a group of girls from out of town in Scottsdale for a bachelorette party, 4 of us out of the group including the bachelorette decided to go for a dive, and we were so excited! But, weather turned for the worse so we can’t jump any more today and obviously can’t come back easily like locals can… Sure, sh*t happens and weather is out of anyone’s control but they won’t refund us any money!!! All because we signed some waiver that says no refund for any reason? We get your policy, but it just doesn’t make any sense for folks out of town, AND, more importantly, the fact that you did NOT mention any of these when you charged us! When it was already windy!!! You could have at the very least warned us that this might be a risk especially today and that as stated in paperwork there’s no refund no matter whose fault it is. Look, I get what we signed, and you have the right to say no. We asked to speak to the manager and were told «no, if I let you I will get fired.» Really!!! Please understand the sales person is just doing her job so it’s not her fault — but dear manager, don’t you think as a manager the least you can do is to talk to your clients directly and explain KINDLY??! If you are not on duty, you either make yourself available or come into work! You ARE the manager, aren’t you? And you are selling a product/​service so customers and clients SHOULD matter to you? Apparently not… An expensive lesson learned I guess. Please remember to NOT pay here until you know for sure you are going up or have all the time in the world to come back and try again, again and again if necessary, otherwise you just paid for NOTHING! Plus all the time wasted!!!

In no other business is it acceptable to make reservations at a given hour, but not be served until THREE HOURS+ later. I am beyond disgusted that your company was so disrespectful of my time. I will NOT be back to this drop zone.

Horrible company with shady business practices! Booked a tandem jump for my husband and I to celebrate my bday (⁹⁄₇) and was super excited. I’ll admit, the customer service that I received when booking was exceptional. Unfortunately, the night before our jump there was some sort of storm that destroyed the runway so our jump was cancelled but did anyone care to call us? Nope.
When we arrived bright and early (we were scheduled for the first jump of the day), a guy walked out of a trailer and simply said, «no jumps today.» Pardon me?!? He went on to say he knew nothing about the business side so he couldn’t tell us anything further. Of course all of my calls went unanswered for some time before I reached someone who claimed that they were so busy making calls to customers. But no call to the first scheduled jump for that day?!? Oh. Ok.
Now I’m a reasonable person. I understand that they had no control over the storm or the damage done to the runway. But what they absolutely did have control over was how they would handle the cancelled jumps. I explained that we had paid for flights and hotels just to be there for the jump and that we’d have to eat those expenses as we weren’t notified ahead of time (could have cancelled flights/​hotel the night before) and kindly asked for a refund… and then things got shady.
The nice, informed receptionist from booking became a clueless mute when I asked for a refund after proving to her several times that their «no refunds for cancellations and no shows» didn’t apply to my situation as THEY cancelled my jump without notice, not me (note: not holding them responsible for storm but for not contacting me as soon as they knew they’d need to cancel which would have saved me 2 flights, a hotel booking, and a whole ruined birthday spent driving the 6 hours back home). When I asked to speak to the owner, I was informed that he was conveniently out of the country and couldn’t be contacted even though I easily found they guy on FB and he was right in CA.
Long story short, we argued back and forth for nearly a month and they have still refused to refund me even a portion of the money. I started to take legal action but thought I’d rather not waste another second of my energy with such shady people. That’s what Karma’s for. It was quite disappointing though.
At the end of the day, I’d like to that Skydive Phoenix for ruining my birthday and cheating me out of nearly $ 1K. It’s much appreciated :)
P. s. I supposedly have a credit for a tandem jump with vid and photos good for a year that I won’t be using. You want it, it’s yours.

If possible, I would give this place zero stars, but since I can’t, one it is. The tandem gear is old and falling apart (namely the canopies. you know– the thing you need to safely get you back to earth!). Student/​rental gear is just as bad; riser covers that don’t stay closed, loose pins due to smaller canopies being in a too large container for them, and also extremely out-​dated. No running water, so an over-​flowing port-​a-​john is the best you’ll get for a rest room. The majority of the staff is either clique-​y or creepy. Take your hard earned money to somewhere that appreciates it, not here (maybe somewhere that the owner actually pays their employees/​past employees).

The owner is the biggest douchebag EVER. He doesn’t pay his staff and is notorious for never even being there. When he is there, all he’s doing is yelling at his staff, telling them how stupid they are, and even IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS. So many staff have left there because he’s retarded and unreasonable to work for, and yes, there are literally DOZENS of people he owes money to that they will never see. Biggest piece of work I’ve ever seen (yes, I worked there – thankfully for just a short time). Shitty gear too. Do NOT give this dick your business. Go anyplace else.

I went skydiving on and for my birthday, and it was phenomenal — thanks to Skydive Phoenix! It was a tandem jump so I was attached to another person via harnesses — I forgot his name (ops, but maybe it was Rob — I believe he was from Chicago?). Anyway, he was AWESOME! He was super cool and he perfectly steered the way after the jump so that we landed softly & gracefully on our feet (no hard impact)!
When I got there in the morning, I read and watched info about safety — including paperwork. Hence the reasoning to get there EARLY and well before your scheduled time. Also, I watched a person carefully fold a parachute. I was thoroughly amazed though so NERVOUS as well.
The flight… There were four of us… The pilot, a lone-​jumper, myself and the tandem partner. Once the small plane was airborne at 13,000 feet, the door opened and the lone-​jumper did his thang. Then, my experience… I paused for a slight second thinking to myself «omg, am I really doing this?!»; I prayed before jumping. Then it was all a fast blur for a few seconds since we were free-​falling and I was screaming (natural instinct)! THEN the BEST part = the parachute opened and we were FLOATING in the air. That moment was so peaceful! The views made me think, «dang, Arizona is so beautiful!»
Everyone there was so nice! Btw I was the FIRST jumper for the day. Afterward, I got a neat certificate congratulating me on my first skydive!
A *CON* — I paid extra for photos though they did NOT come out good = quality was lacking. Note, the tandem partner took photos from a camera that was securely strapped to his arm. My recommendation: inquire if photos can be taken via alternative means (i.e., another jumper taking the photos while in the air — so as to capture your entire body with the scenic surroundings).
Despite the one con, this was an exhilarating experience — allowing me to check an item off my bucket list! I was sooo pumped after the jump — with a big smile on my face!

My first ever Skydive was a huge success! We had a party of four, for Saturday at noon, all with Living Social deals. We watched the videos, signed our waivers, were weighed, and paid the $ 10 fuel fee or any optional upgrades (additional altitude height, upgraded videos, over 230 pounds fee), etc.
This weekend they were running the smaller planes, so our group was split into two separate flights. This took longer than we hoped, since there was a flight put in between ours, but was within the given time frame that we were told over the phone when we booked.
Stacy was my tandem partner, and kept me calm and feeling supported throughout the entire experience! And that is saying something, because I was TRULY SCARED! :) It was time to face some fears, and I decided SKYDIVING fit the bill! Thank you Stacy! The freefall was the part I was most nervous about, and in the end was my FAVORITE part. As mentioned in another review, you don’t experience that «sudden drop in the pit of your stomach like on a rollercoaster», instead its just something magical… something to be experienced! It was a fun, relaxed, yet professional environment, and we have only positive things to say about our experience with Skydive Phoenix!

I give it 2 stars because I jumped out of a plane and survived. Other than that, nothing else was pleasant.
I bought a Groupon just like everybody else here. However, I don’t think that Skydive Phoenix had the personnel to handle all of the customers. We booked over a month in advance, for an early time slot at 11am. They told us to arrive «just a half hour early.» It was only AFTER we arrived and registered that they told us the wait would be 4 hours. They also told us on the phone that our party of 3 would be able to go in the same plane; this was not the case. They split our party up, and by the time it was my friend’s turn to jump, they decided to cancel all flights because the afternoon winds had picked up. I am grateful that they are cautious, but we booked an early time slot to avoid that very issue.
One tandem instructor hanging out in the waiting area kept talking smack about another instructor. Another instructor told me that the front desk girl gets «booking happy» which exacerbates the wait. Not very professional.
To top it off, they redeemed my friend’s Groupon even though she didn’t get to jump! That was terrible. Groupon gave her credit for the amount she spent, which we were very happy about.

Quick, thorough, exhilarating, sunny, and fun. I could say more but you get the point. You arrive to jump out of a plane and they don’t make you wait around. Watch a short safety video (to find out skydiving hasn’t been around for that long!). Decide, yep I still want to do this. Get harnessed up. Take a short walk to the plane. Fly to 10,000 feet. Left foot, right foot, jump!
What I didn’t know: my stomach didn’t drop like I expected. We were flying so fast my ears felt like they had a barrier.

I lived. So thats great. Its hard to write a poor review for a company that keeps you alive after you jump out of a plane.
The Tandem Diving instructors were great and fun.
The administration was horrible.
Our appointment was at 1pm and we didn’t get on a plane until about 4pm.
We even arrived early at 12:30.

We arrived around 7am and we were out of there in less than 1 hour. This is the craziest thing i’ve done.
I have to admit it, it is pretty scary getting into a small plane in the middle of the desert.
Once you are on the plane you ask yourself what the hell you are doing there lol.
When they open the airplane door, you realize you are jumping off an airplane at 13,000 ft, and the only way out is trough that door.
I cried, and i wouldnt do it again; but i dont regret doing it.
The staff is the best; my friends and i jumped with mike, todd, and rob and they were amazing.
This should be in everyone’s bucket list. Its an amazing experience.

It’s probably been less than 20 minutes since the jump, and we are at Barros Pizza trying to order food, with the ability to think let alone speak rather difficult.
This was our first jump and all that comes to mind is whoa wow omg!
Skydive Phoenix was an awesome experience. Our. «jump guides/​instructors» were Mike and Josh. From the time we were greeted until we drove off in the car we felt like valued and important people. We used a GROUPON which gave us a great value including video of the jump.
Both Glenn and I recommend this establishment and the entire staff. Tandem sky diving is a life experience not to be missed.
