I absolutely love this place. My favorite coffee shop ever. They have the best coffee around. Also love the setting. Inside or outside its comfortable and has a relaxed atmosphere. Once or twice a week the entire square will smell the coffee beans roasting. Try this place if you haven’t.

Super shocked that I hadn’t written a review because I LOVE this place. Their espresso and coffee is always right up my alley :-) They roast their own beans, which is a delight, because the fragrance within the shop is wonderful. There are great seating options inside and out, whether you’re looking to chill, meet up with friends, or get a little work/study session in. The baristas are super friendly, the environment is pleasantly eclectic without being too far gone for your average joe ;) yummy, yummy, yummy.

These guys claim to have the greatest espresso beans since Juan Valdez but what I received were old bags that could no longer be frozen to suspend the maturation process and were already well into their peak flavor window. Don’t claim to be a pro if you’re going to act like an amateur. It would be easier for me to just pick up a bag of beans from Kroger if I want to drink substandard espresso.

Usually have a really good experience at this place, but today I came into the facility to do some homework. I had planned on being at the shop for a while with the idea of purchasing a drink… Because who goes to a coffee shop without getting a delicious cup of joe? This time around after being at the shop one of the baristas(female) decided to approach me and let me know that I needed to purchase a drink since it comes with using the wifi password. WAIT, WHAT? I’ve never been approached by a barista to force me to purchase a drink on THEIR time. I love the square because I LOVE supporting local restaurants in the area. I come to this area a lot… Sooo… note to self… I’ll never be supporting this local business again or recommending them to friends out of town. Very rude and not a place I want to support. If you customer service is not high on your list, then definitely go for the drinks.

This place looks really cool and has a great coffee shop vibe. However, they don’t have an option to prepare their beans for you with either a pour over or Chemex. This means the only way you will get to taste their potentially amazing, in house roasted beans is in some kind-of-stale drip coffee sitting in a thermos. I also had a scone which was almost $ 4 and considerably below average. Overall, it’s a nice little coffee shop but really did not impress me.

Kayla was so nice in helping me pick the perfect coffee goodness and Mike made an awesome drink with a beautiful design — true to a real barista! Made my coffee break a great pleasure!

I don’t want to remember what life was like before I discovered the Karlo. It’s the perfect blend of high octane caffeine and delicious flavor. It’s the perfect morning drink.

Love the laid back atmosphere! Great just to chill out in the court yard after a busy shopping spree on the Square. Now one of my fav places to hang out at!

Cool Beans over Starbucks any day! I come here for their Spanish Mocha and Dirty Mocha Chai. Once in a while, I’ll be adventurous and try something new. It’s never disappointing. When I’m not on-the-go, I pick up coffee and walk around Marietta Square.

The coffee beans are roasted in-house, providing for a smooth cup of coffee. Staff is nice and quickly crafted my drink. I was able to grab an Americano and walk around historic Marietta square enjoying the morning and prepping for my day.

Top shelf coffee with a large selection of whole beans for sale from various countries. Ambiance and setting is vastly different from a Starbucks or other chain, which is why it seems to be so popular. Service is incredible and often entertaining. Would definitely recommend this place over all others. Favorite stop on the square!

Better than I remember in high school. I have this nostalgia of the days I used to sit here all day or all night, even after closing hours. So, naturally, when I’m back in town, meeting an old friend for coffee I’ll always pick here. Coffee is on point, the ladies behind the bar know what they are doing. So glad this business is still here. The courtyard can be a little dirty, but it’s outside. All in all, if you like coffee shops, try this place.

This place is fantastic. The prices are competitive and the drink selection is pretty extensive. There isn’t much seating indoors but they have a pretty big patio area in the back, there are always people smoking back there, so beware of you don’t want to be around it. The staff is friendly and it’s pretty neat to see they have a bean roaster in the middle of the store. Anytime I’m in the area I stop by for a cup of coffee, even though Starbucks is right around the corner.

The coffee is still amazing but the clientele and ambiance has changed drastically. Rap music blasting so loud that you have to yell to talk to the person next to you. And I’m not one to not like music but for the language and songs that they play here is not appropriate for a café or coffee house. I don’t want to hear about bitches and ho’s the entire time I’m here. I’m also starting to understand why people choose Starbucks over these shops because there is consistency with almost everything including the music. There is a reason trendy places do not last very long. The product they produce here is still great and I do grab a coffee and go but as for now where I have been here for about 2 hours and the music and people are just rude. Not a place that I can see myself hanging out at anymore. Great coffee but not a good place to spend time.

Pretty Cool Little Coffee Shop!!! The Square has it all, even this cute little coffee shop. I’ve visited this shop several times through the year. They make a great Carmel frappé, topped with whipped cream, yes… frozen yummy goodness. be aware, the coffee can be a bit strong at times, but I like strong coffee(the stronger, the better). They also have great desserts and offer a variety of random items from records to unique clothing from time to time. They have a small, but nice patio area to enjoy your coffee/treats. I can’t go to the Square without stopping thru. Sure I will be swinging by some time very soon. FYI: You may want to take cash, it seems like they haven’t updated their credit/debit card systems, I’ve had troubles a couple times in the past & recently.

The owner reached out to me after my last review so I gave this place another shot. This time the girl that took my order was ever pleasant and my chai latte was very good. I’m glad I gave this business another chance.

Glad to see this independent coffee store still doing well. I used to visit this store more often years back when I worked in the area. I happened to be on the Marietta Square the other day and decided to try Cool Beans again. On a busy Saturday morning there was a line out to the door, but it moved quickly. I just got a regular coffee. At This store, you pour your own coffee from urns that are placed out. I thought the coffee was excellent quality and better than what I get from chain stores. The indoor seating is a little lacking, but there is a real nice patio area in the back. The music they played in the inside was a little annoying to me, so I was glad to go outside. Prices are pretty good – I paid $ 1.65 for a small coffee. Refills, though, are listed at $ 1.25. There was a bunch of muffins and other pastry type items wrapped in Saran Wrap behind the counter. I don’t think I would order any snacks here. This is a real good choice if you want to get a good cup of coffee.

Great little coffee place in downtown Marietta, just a few steps from the square. Inside its cozy and a little funky, and they have these two little alcoves where its nice to do some work – especially in the late morning /early afternoon when its quieter. They have possibly the best iced coffee I’ve ever had. Like I literally had my first sip and was like«woah, did I fix it differently this time?» But when I had the same«woah» moment the next day, I realized they just have really, really good coffee(at least in iced form!) Only thing is the AC wasn’t on when I was there. They had all the doors open and fans going, which was fine until about 2 pm, when I started to get a little toasty.(Maybe they turn on their AC once the summer ramps up?) Anyway, definitely a place to check out if you’re in the area!

Cool Beans is my local coffee place, and I feel lucky being able to say that. Sure, there’s a Starbucks about a block away from it(not a hater, I probably pay tribute to the SB goddess once a week). But if you want a slightly different taste, and a more chill atmopshere, head over to Cool Beans. My drink of choice to measure a coffee house? Iced mocha. And CB has a great one! Right balance of bitter and sweet, nothing is overpowering. May branch out one day and get some other items, especially the treats. Bonus points for the cashier saying«tree fitay» for my 12oz small. The staff seemed like they were having a good time, cracking jokes with customers and just being jolly. They do have a frequent flyer punch card, so that’s a plus. The vibe is pretty laid back on the inside. It’s a little small, but there’s plenty of natural light coming in, so you won’t feel clausterphobic. There’s also ample outdoors seating in the back. The wall has local artists displayed– so it really goes with the«go local» theme that the Marietta Square is trying to convey.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Cool Beans! It’s the best coffee I’ve ever had outside of Italy. It really sets them apart that they roast their own beans in-house. I’m not a Sbux hater and I go when it’s most convenient but I get my coffee beans for home ONLY from Cool Beans and I stop in whenever I’m near the Square for a Spanish Mocha. The atmosphere here is awesome and reminds me of hanging out at Java Monkey in Decatur in my younger days. Sometimes the place is packed and the wait can get long but it’s worth it. It’s so worth it.
