I heard from friends that Highlands is going through some major positive changes so I stopped in to see what new owners are doing. LOVEIT!!! The service could not have been better… Sarah and Greta were on top of it! The menu has great variety and delicious. The band, MURMUR, did great REM tribute. A good time had by all from jeans to suits; comfortable atmosphere. I talked to new owners and they told me of even more renovations they will be doing. These guys have a great vision and they are making it happen; larger dance floor, sofas, new lighting, and improved seating. Way to go… This is a definite go back to place day and night!

We went here and got a card for feedback that said we would get a discount for future use. We haven’t received anything. That’s the kind of place this is. Not sure which was worse, the food or the music.

First of all the chef salad was great. The two hour wait time for half of our party’s food was not. And then there’s the issue of the trivia dude. Last night the trivia host clearly explained that if we wanted to use our phones we needed to stand near him to assuage any fears of cheating. My friend and I were having an innocent conversation about an actor who had nothing to do with any trivia question asked. My friend wanted me to see an online article about the actor so we stood next to the trivia host to continue our conversation. The trivia host saw that we had opened IMDB(the horror) and proceeded to belittle us about what we were doing and scolded our actions. He was actually beside himself that we would do such a thing. I attempted to explain to him that we were following his rules. He obviously has no control in any other aspect of his life with the seriousness of how he was taking this offense to his kingdom. It was the most absurd conversation and guaranteed that I won’t be back to this establishment.

I don’t know how someone could give it a 4 or 5 star. It’s very average. Our server was a nice girl, but the food took a while and it was kind of just a cold, unwelcoming atmosphere.

Came to watch a friend’s band and the sound in the room was great. I had the pimento cheese dip and fried pickles and they were both outstanding. Service was also very good.

Excellent food and service for the price! Bartender & staff are always super friendly. They also recognize us after coming in a few times. Love coming to listen to the bands in the evening and that the bar is smoke-free. I recommend their burgers and sweet potato fries!

My favorite local bar. Food is great, beer(in my case cider) is cold, and service is awesome! We’ve heard some fantastic bands and even sat and watched hours of karaōke. Very locals type place. The best part for us, living so close, is that they are partnered with My DD, a drivers service that will come pick you and your car up and drive it home for $ 2 a mile. When we feel we shouldn’t drive we call them and get home with our car and a tip for less than $ 10!

Service is awesome. My husband and I went early to get a table for 16 on the Fleetwood Mac night. It was packed but the managers and servers all helped by keeping an eye out for empty tables and chairs and hauled them over for us like we were VIPs. They hooked us up and they were extremely busy. Our server, Brittany, was extremely attentive. Everyone enjoyed their food. I particularly enjoyed the French dip.

NOSMOKING, I LOVEIT. Watching Falcons at Saints, will be 6 – 0. Great service. Cook was a little challenged with my vegan order. Cold in building but overall would recommend to watch the game! I will be back! Great service by Brittany.

I have now been to this restaurant five times, and unfortunately don’t feel it warrants a four star rating anymore. It has the potential to be a nice hangout and sports bar, but there are a few issues. I’ve come here on Saturday and Sunday afternoons for football game watching, and don’t find it the best atmosphere. Both times it seemed that there was just one bartender/waitress for the entire place, and she couldn’t quite keep up with the patrons. There is too long of a wait for service. On my first couple of visits, there were more personnel serving the patrons, but the last two visits there has been only one person. It is unfortunate that they have the dart board right next to the bar, and allow children to play darts and sit at the bar. For me, a bar is an adult hangout, and I don’t care to have loud children while I’m drinking and watching games at a sports bar. I felt more like I was in a playground than a bar the last time I went and there was a group of about six children playing at the dartboard. They haven’t yet generated large numbers of patrons for weekend sports watching. For me, it’s being around a lot of other fans excited about a game that makes a sports bar fun. This bar is lacking in that. The food and drinks are your standard bar fare. The number of beers on tap is pretty limited. If there were more interesting craft beers on tap to choose from and better menu options, this might counteract some of the other issues with service and atmosphere, but this isn’t the case.

Had a very nice meal here a few days ago. My wife seems to think we had dined there when it was Abbey Road. I don’t recall. But it’s obviously undergone a face-lift. Clean interior and plenty of high-def tv’s to watch and trivia boxes if you are into that kind of thing. We started with the wings and while they may not be the best we’ve ever eaten, they were solid. I had the shrimp po-boy and it was really good. The only complaint I might have is I wish it were crammed with shrimp instead of having them laid out on the bread but that’s okay. The bread was AWESOME! It made the sandwich for me. Wife(GF) had the burger and fries and said it was fine. How good can a hamburger be when you can’t eat a bun? Son had the club sandwich. It was huge and he had trouble finishing it. Once again, really good bread. Generally this is bar food and that’s not a disparaging remark but if you are looking for a full blown meal, it won’t happen here. Sanwiches, burgers, appetizers and salads… The service was top notch and it was nice of the owner to stop by the table to say hello. You really can’t understate the power of interacting. Only complaint was the dismount. They had some issues with a coupon we presented and it took a lot longer than I would have liked to check out but these things happen. I’m not the most patient person in the world. It started to fill up as we were leaving so I am hopeful that this restaurant will enjoy a nice long run. PS: Be nice if there were more GF options but that’s more of a general complaint for all restaurants and not just here. My wife said«This is more of a place for you and(our son)». Maybe next time we’ll just do the wings.

My boyfriend and I had tried the old place Abby road a few times and where turned off by the crowd that seemed to frequent there but decided to give the new place a try last night. We came in at around 10:30 to grab some apps and a few beers. We where pleasantly surprised to see the new atmosphere that came with the renovations. It has come a long way from the dark and dingy bar we remember and the new crowd was more of what we are used to. The service we received was top notch. Our waitress(I wish I could remember her name) was probably the best server I have had in years. Super polite, always smiling, extremely attentive(my boyfriend always needs his water refilled like 100 times and we never even had to ask) and very knowledgable of the menu and drinks(offering an awesome alternative to my normal beer of choice) In addition to getting great service from our waitress, the manager came to our table to introduce himself and see how we were doing. Very few business owners do this anymore and it showed a great deal of professionalism. The food was really really good. I got the potchachos and my boyfriend got the nachos. Way better then your normal bar food. I found about 10 more things on the menu I would love to try so we will back!
