Alley Cats Preschool LLC is a Spanish immersion school located in the heart of Marina Del Rey. Our children range between the ages of 1 and 5 ½.

Our daily activities include exploration in music, art, dance, drama, cooking, ecology, astrology, geography, science, technology, language, literature, writing, social studies, math, Spanish, yoga and other sports too. Our beautiful in-​home preschool is enhanced by the surroundings of the community – the beach, the fire station, Lloyd Taber– Marina Del Rey library, Mother’s Beach and the Marina too of course, to name just a few – all of which offer many lessons of their own on our frequent walks and field trips.

Our bilingual curriculum also emphasizes social skills, including: building friendships, respect for others, conflict resolution and advocating for one’s needs and ideas.

By leading with kindness our small staff of qualified teachers and assistants can guide our children through experiences that help them develop a healthy attitude for learning so that they may continue to grow, love, and shine.

Meet the Business Owner

Maureen R.

Business Owner

Maureen Rinker developed a passion for working with children since she began working with them from a very young age. Her mother is a teacher, and it has been a dream of hers to work with young children, too.

She graduated college from UC Santa Barbara with a bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Developmental Biology. Maureen then moved to Los Angeles and continued her studies in Early Childhood Education and Nursing at Santa Monica City College.

Maureen truly loves kids; and being a mom herself of two beautiful boys, has given her some of her greatest experience and insights yet!
