This theater has really improved since the remodel. Everything is nice and clean and it doesn’t smell weird anymore. The chairs are really comfy… I just wish they had stadium seating.

Theatre is small but very nice. The seats are comfortable. The staff are also nice and courteous. The other movie goers were very rude however and I have to commend the staff on how they handled them. I’ve never been in a theatre with so many rude people at once but the staff remained professional none the less.

This is a very very small theater… I guess that is good for some people but I was looking for a theater sized screen. It is clean, and comfy, just a bit too much on the small side.

We have been long time patrons of this neighborhood theatre, and one of the few who continued to patronize you even when your business was slowing down due to rising competition next door before you shut down for renovation. But tonight while my husband and I were in the parking lot and contemplating which movie to watch, he decided to go inside to use the restroom, like he used to in the past, but sadly he was denied access. Even when he said we were to watch a movie in the next hour, the asian looking employee said a movie ticket was needed to use the restroom. It is very sad yet interesting that this experience we have never encountered had to happen in this 6 –movie MDR movie house.
Too bad, your story was just shared to his co– worker he bumped into outside the theater, from the hospital next door. Please be nice to everyone, especially to your neighbors.

This is the way to see a movie! We ate at Ruth Chris first and enjoyed coffee dessert and a movie. Great night out. No kids plenty of room and comfy recliner chairs. I heard it can be cold so I came prepared but didn’t need a jacket. All the seats are good so don’t worry even the front row looked comfortable. I’m spoiled now and probably won’t see a movie any other way.

Verrrry comfortable leather rocker type seating… oouuuu soo relaxing. Not stadium seating but audio is great, lots of leg space between rows, and one FREE refill on popcorn! What’s not to like. Restroom was immaculate and even ran into a celebrity while waiting in line for popcorn. Tickets were a bit more pricey considering the lack of stadium seating and other theater offerings (cocktail bar, restaurant appetizers or full entrees). Nice & quaint overall.

I have never written a review but feel that I need to in order to spare anyone else from going to this theater.
This is the worst theater I’ve ever been to. The large leather seats looked nice when we walked in, but they are extremely uncomfortable. The theater has zero incline so it is difficult to see over the seat in front of you. Also the screen is so high that I had to strain my neck to look up. The seats don’t lean back at all so you are forced to look straight up as if you were in the front row. We tried 3 different sections of the theater, front, middle, back… Every seat is terrible. Save your neck and go to a different theater!
The concession prices are more than arclight.
The employees that were at the ticket counter ignored us for over three minutes because they were flirting with two girls who weren’t even there to see a movie. Thank god they had an electric ticket machine!

Their Projection and sound are the WORST. Blown out, Washed out, and just wrong. I saw «In the Heart of the Sea,» and «Spotlight» here two different auditoriums both looked and sounded horrible. Two colors pink and baby blue, that’s what the picture looked like. Really just an insult to anyone in the Industry.
Mentioned to a friend tonight and they said the same thing horrible horrible projection quality. Theaters like this are what are ruining the film going experience. If it looks and sounds better in my living room, why am I bothering to go out.

Came here on Christmas Day and to my surprise it was rather empty, easy parking and friendly staff! This was my first time here since the remodel was was amazed at the comfy seats! Big red leather recliners! Will definitely be adding this to my rotation. Matinée was about $ 10 which is unheard of on the west side!

Want to feel like you’re in your own private movie theater? Come here! This AMC is always nearly empty.
I’ve gone on a Sunday evening and it was near dead, but tonight I came on a Friday night to see a film that had been released only a week ago, and only 8 seats were filled in my auditorium.
My guess for why this place is so empty is that it’s hidden inside a strip mall next to Pavilions and Fatburger and kitty corner from a much nicer theater — the AMC «dive-​in» theater that offers a full restaurant experience while you eat.
I like that they have mainstream films but usually also throw in an indie-​ish flick or two to the selection.
Despite being the less popular theatre on the block, this location offers upgraded spacious leather chairs and reserved seats for only $ 12 a ticket at night. And you don’t have to worry about shows selling out. Pretty good deal to catch a new release… in the quasi-​privacy of what feels like your own theater.

This theater has been upgraded big time since the last time I came and it’s been years. My family and I went to see «The Good Dinosaur» this past weekend and it was nice. The seats are also super comfy.
I took off a star for the service, the staff is not very inviting and the gentleman at the snack bar was trying to overcharge us. He then gave us this stupid look when we corrected him. The prices for the snacks are outrageous but that’s typical at the movies.

The staff is very friendly and inviting. Came on Halloween night with my girlfriend to watch Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse. It was an empty theater but very clean.
I would recommend this as an affordable alternative to the dine-​in theater across the street and love that you can stil pick you seats in advance.

This AMC surprised me. My friend had two AMC movie passes and we decided to see Straight Outta Compton on a Friday evening. The movie had already been out for a couple of weeks but was sold out everywhere. Initially, we went to the AMC on Maxella, but they were sold out all evening :(
They directed us to this location which was literally right across the street. I was amazed at how nice and comfy the seats were! I would go back to this AMC even though it looks a bit depressing on the outside.
Oh and if you haven’t already seen it, you gotta watch Straight Outta Compton. It was AMAZING.

Hands down the most comfortable Theater Seats ever!
AMC took over and re-​furbished the theater recently and it shows!
This place used to be a dump, now they have the best seats with the best legroom of any theater.
Easy choice to come here again.
Other benefits:
1. FREE easy Parking. We parked right in front.
2. Reserved seating. We LOVE that. No stress getting to the theater to get a good seat. Pop out of dinner and right into the theater last minute.
3. Lots and lots of restaurants to dine at within walking distance.
4. Yogurtland is around the corner for after movie carbs.
5. No surcharge on discount vouchers like they do at AMC Century Shitty.
What you may not like:
NO stadium seating. This means that someone with a big head (and there are lot of big heads in LA you know) may sit in front of you. Ummm… Just «wack em» if they are blocking your view.

Now I have two (2) favorite theaters in my area. Landmark in the Westside Pavilion and this one. This one is the former United Artists Theater. It is newly renovated and just opened last October. Being new, it has reserved seating. The seats’s backrest recline a bit but there are no footrests, But they are handsome, cushy leather seats that are comfortable. Also there is plenty of leg room between rows. The theater is not stadium seating but it was no problem. The view was still good. (I’m not tall.)
Also they have helpful and friendly staff, and parking is free. Yep, free and unlimited time. So no worries if you want to sit thru the credits or if you get stuck in the long line in the restroom.
All of the above for $ 12.49! Actually one dollar cheaper than Landmark. And if you are an AMC Stubs member, purchasing reserved-​seating thru Fandango is free of the convenience fee.
Take note, this place is easy to miss. There is no marquee of any kind — it is just like a store. It’s next to a Fatburger – now there’s a fat tip. Or you can check out some of the exterior photos that some thoughtful Unilocalers posted.
If it weren’t for these photos, we wouldn’t have found this place.

This review is for for my recent visit to the Newly Updated AMC 6 in the Villa Marina Marketplace, (For decades it was a United Artists Theater).
It serves as a neighborhood alternative to the AMC Dine-​In across the street which is only for those 21 and up because of the alcohol it serves.
I came on a Thursday evening for an 8:15pm show, no line, no wait, no problems.
Pros:
Free and easy parking
Better time available at 8:15pm, not too early or too late vs same film across the street at the dine-​in (6pm or 9:30pm)
Better price, $ 12.49 Adult vs $ 14.99 across street
You can still pick your seats when buying tixs, which is always great feature
New spacious seats are still way better then the old ones, even if they don’t recline
Friendly and helpful staff
Short walk to anything (Concession Stand, Bathroom, Entrance/​Exit) in this small venue
Variety of food options nearby
Cons:
None on a weeknight for me
My be more crowded on weekend, especially if it is opening weekend of a big animation/​family flick

Thankfully I didn’t let all the negative chair reviews keep me away from this theater.
First off the seats: I seriously don’t know what people are complaining about. If you want reclining chairs stay home and watch Netflix in your living room. Or if you want a super comfy chair that reclines, AMC has a cinema suites right across the street. Tickets are $ 20 – 22 on a Sat night. Tickets at this theater are $ 15. See where I’m going here? You get what you pay for folks. This theater is newly remodeled and it shows. I found it to be extremely clean. The large, leather chairs rock back and forth The theater I saw my movie know was huge; I can’t speak for the others.
I love cinema suites (across the street) but it’s too damn expensive. This theater is a nice supplement. I recommend it.

Small movie theater located inside the shopping center. It will require a double take to see the AMC sign. Once inside, the ticket window is to the right and we meet a very friendly associate who helped us pick a great seat. Located on the left is the concession stand where typical movie theater items can be purchased. (Candy, popcorn, soda.) We visited this location on a weekday and there was no crowds, no wait and everything was very clean. This theater has assigned seating and a sample of the inside chairs were located in the lobby. If your feel you have an issue with the chairs don’t visit this theater, why even buy the ticket? So you can complain about it later… First world problems.
I found the chairs much more comfortable then any standard AMC seating, the cup holders are much larger and the ability to slightly dip backwards is available for your liking. The theater is not stadium style yet, even the absolute back room has a good view. I would choose this theater over a «regular» AMC any day.
Tip, they accept pre purchased AMC tickets. This help lower your out of pocket when purchasing at the ticket window.
