I just hate walking into this office. Everyone is a vulture and its sell sell sell. I found it to be a very phoney environment with phoney people. They hone in on you right away and start selling you on injections, botox, etc. when you didnt even go into their office to talk about that at all. And then they wont let you leave until you meet all of his botox injectors to have a private talk with them. Really? They are like stalkers there!

Dr. David Stoker is the best Plastic surgeon on the planet. I lost over 120 lbs through diet and exercise. unfortunately I was left with a bit of loose skin, around my body. I was doing my research for surgeons who do tummy tucks and I remember seeing Dr. Stoker on a TV show ABC’s extreme weight loss, where he is the selected doctor to do the procedure because he’s the best at what he does. I looked him up on the Internet and all I saw was positive reviews from thousands of patients. I had to come and see him. I booked my consultation, first thing I saw when I came into his office were the smiling faces of his employees, from the front desk to the nurses, Heather, Sarah, Loraina, Pam to name a few of them. I then saw an incredible view of the Marina, the office he has is completely state of the art. Dr. Stoker sat with my mother and I for literally over an hour talking to us, he’s a very down to earth guy. He told me the chair i was sitting on was over 15k$ and he wasn’t joking. His credentials in plastic surgery exceeded my expectations, his before and after work in the pictures he showed me were amazing, he even teaches surgeons on how to do the procedure properly. I came in with the intention of getting a tummy tuck but Dr. Stoker said a circumferential tummy tuck would benefit me the most, because of the loose skin on my lower back. I went ahead and got my quote for the procedure, it was well worth it. To have the best plastic surgeon operate on you won’t be cheap, but it’s your body and trust me it’s well worth it. I didnt have any consultations with any other surgeons because i knew i was going with the best. The day of the surgery I was put to sleep and after 5 hours I woke up, no pain at all. I could walk just a few hours after surgery no problem. that’s the work of Dr. Stoker. I was literally opened up all around then stiched up and I was walking within a few hours it was amazing. I stayed at an aftercare facility for one night, Dr. Stoker personally came to see me early in the morning at 5 AM… what type of Dr. would do that for his patients. He said everything looked good and showed me my body. I now have 6 pack abs and a beach body. My parents saw my body and were amazed at how good it looked. All thanks to Dr. Stoker, I literally had no pain at all and now I’m 11 days after my operation typing this. Thank you Dr. Stoker and staff, you all make an incredible team. If anyone is considering a surgeon go to Dr. Stoker. he will exceed your expectations.

Dr. Stoker is without a doubt the best plastic surgeon in California, if not in the country, in my opinion. He is very proud of his skills and has earned his bragging rights. His staff is so wonderful and caring as well, and made me feel very comfortable from the time I booked my surgery all the way to my last post-​op appointment.
I went to Dr. Stoker for a consultation to correct my breast asymmetry in 2014. It was something that had bothered me for years and always affected the way my clothes fit and I finally decided to do something about it. I had seen a couple of other surgeons, but was not fully convinced that they could give me the results I wanted. I found Dr. Stoker through just a simple google search and was so impressed at the before and after pictures, and the range of work he has done. I especially loved that his work was incredibly natural looking, which was what I’d hoped to achieve with my surgery.
My consultation with Dr. Stoker was the best. His office is beautiful, clean, and completely modernized, with a great all around atmosphere. He was very confident and took the time to explain his credentials and background without me having to ask any questions. As for my surgery options, he provided me with an option that no other surgeon had given me, and that’s how I knew he was the doc for me. Other doctors had simply given me the option to increase the size of my smaller breast with an implant or increase both breasts with different size implants, even though they explained that the results would still give me two different looking breast shapes. Dr. Stoker explained that my smaller breast was actually more proportioned to my body and that simply lifting it and doing a small reduction and lift of the larger side would be the most natural option for me. I was thrilled to hear this. He also explained that if I did want to get implants in the future, that the results would be more even because the tissue in each breast would be more symmetrical.
Dr. Stoker and his staff are undoubtedly the best plastic surgeon team I could have even asked for. It’s been a year since my surgery and my scars are barely visible (after using scar cream as advised) and I love my boobies more than ever.

Meeting Dr. Stoker was a game changer. I initially booked a consultation just to explore possibilities, I had no plans to get breast augmentation so quickly. I just knew during the consultation that Dr. Stoker was going to be my doctor. I booked the surgery for a week after the consultation and never looked back. It’s been 6 weeks and I can’t even express how happy I am in words. Dr. Stoker gave me exactly what I wanted. As an executive, I did not want to go too big, yet I wanted my clothes to fit better. He made the decision which size would be best during the surgery. I will go to Dr. S when the time calls for anything else and recommend him to all of my friends and family! I went to Dr. Stoker for a consultation for breast reduction and stomach lipo. I have to say that everyone was warm, friendly, and welcoming.
When I met Dr. Stoker, he was very friendly and warm. He answered all the questions I had and explained what he was was going to do thoroughly. The appointment did not feel rushed at all. Excellent bedside manner, which I think is very important because you need to feel comfortable with your doctor.
Unfortunately, the office found out that my insurance would not cover the breast reduction despite being PPO. They said it was out of network. So my only way to have the reduction with Dr. Stoker was to pay out of pocket; which is financially out of reach for me at the moment. If my crappy insurance would’ve covered the surgery, I would definitely have Dr. Stoker perform it.

I just had surgery with Dr. Stoked two days ago. Already I see impeccable results and I know the results will be even better in 3 months from now. He is the nicest doctor and true to his word. The office staff is so warm and makes you feel right at home. One the best experiences I had from the start!

What can I say about Dr. Stoker? I first met Dr. Stoker in 2003 when he was working with another surgeon. He was very warm and seemed very knowledgeable concerning his craft. However, due to the demands of being a military family, I was unable to schedule my surgery at that time, but I never forgot the impression he made on me.
When I was finally ready to have surgery, I never even considered going with a different surgeon even after living in many different parts of the country. He was always on my mind. So I basically tracked him down only to find him in a beautiful new facility with his own practice! Yay!
Our «reunion» consultation went very well. He made me feel just as comfortable as our initial meeting but he was even more knowledgeable about his craft which made me feel even more comfortable. I initially wanted breast implants but Dr. Stoker assured me he could achieve the look I wanted by using my natural breast tissue. I loved the fact that he didn’t push for a procedure I didn’t need.
Surgery day: I’m prone to anxiety so I always have a little anti-​anxiety kit ready to go. I’m surprised to say, I didn’t even use it! Everyone from the ladies at the front desk to the anesthesiologist to the OR nurse, to Dr. Stoker, they all made me feel at ease.
The anesthesiologist was so amazing! She even gave me time to say a little prayer before she put me under. Woke up with just a teeny bit of nausea but after that, nothing! No nausea! Dr. Stoker personally called my husband post op to let him know how it went (hubby loved that).
Results: I’m 12 weeks post-​op and I LOVE my results. Dr. Stoker is truly an artist and a gifted surgeon. He did an outstanding job! In a nutshell: I waited 12 years and it was well worth it!!! Love him!!!

When I first contacted Doctor Stoker not only was his staff amazing but he is the sweetest person with the best energy. He is truly an artist with a very kind and thoughtful soul.
I made my appointment for a consultation and the receptionists were all so sweet. I forgot to fill out paperwork and they were so nice about it, then simply printed it out and said it was no problem. Most people would have been rude or annoyed but they are truly classy.

Thank you Dr Stoker! My breasts are amazing and I am thrilled with the results. I had a breast lift with a small implant recently and can’t stop looking at them. They look exactly like they did when I was 22 years old… only better.
The best part is: with clothes on I look exactly like I did before the surgery. I am a business owner and certainly didn’t want my employees to be aware of the change and distracted from serving our clientele. I asked my brother (an M.D.) for a recommendation for a plastic surgeon. Without hesitation, he said, «David Stoker, Marina del Rey». He and my brother went to medical school together. He informed me of Dr. Stoker’s work ethic, reputation, accomplishments, and dedication. Sold! After my initial consultation, I decided Dr. Stoker would perform my surgery. Best decision I made. I’m going to have a second procedure with him in several months.

I had my second surgery with Dr. Stoker on 9÷3÷2015. I love the results and I can’t imagine having work done by anyone else. I trust him so much that I left it up to him to decide on the end results. Crazy? Yes! But that’s how much I trust him. The anesthesiologist that works with him is the best. The rest of his staff is a hit and miss. They’re not all to his level of professionalism. That’s unfortunate for his brand.

I never write reviews on Unilocal unless something is so extraordinary, it merits me writing about it. That is exactly the case here. Dr. Stoker is one of the best in the biz – his credentials are too long to list, and that’s also the reason why he was the plastic surgeon on the TV show Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition.
The main reason I’m writing this review is because this experience was very personal for me. Let me first say, I’ve always been anti-​plastic surgery having grown up north in an area where people value genuine wholesomeness over superficiality. As a child, I was traumatized when my mom had 3 major facial reconstructive surgeries (just think extreme like Michael Jackson) – my mom got addicted and she changed so much, I didn’t even recognize her anymore; I was so mad at her, and felt so estranged from her as a kid (because she no longer looked like me) that I didn’t kiss my mom for over 2 months – it was like kissing a stranger with butt fat transferred to her lips. My whole life, I never thought I’d get plastic surgery.
Unfortunately, I’m a perfectionist and an actor; I felt getting surgery to enhance my aesthetics would give me a huge edge in the biz, so I decided to go here after doing my diligent research. I could not be more pleased with the results!!! It’s positively life changing, and if you’re going to do something permanent to your body, you should go to the best (at least that’s my philosophy). Dr. Stoker is one of, if not the best, and I’m so fortunate and blessed that he worked on me. Plastic surgery is a combination of art and science, and I consider him to be like a modern day Michaelangelo.
Sure, it may be more expensive than some other places, but you get what you pay for. If anything you get peace of mind knowing you’re in good hands. He has a state-​of-​the-​art, newly renovated facility, and great staff which makes you feel comfortable.
I’ve had two procedures done: the first time I was scared with anxious anticipation, not knowing what to expect. The second time I was excited, and happy looking forward to the future (after having seen the positive results from the first surgery). I’m done now, and even if I felt I wasn’t, I don’t think they’d allow me to go further with them because in this biz, less is more. You don’t want to look ‘overdone’, and they told me that.
So yes, I give Dr. Stoker 5 stars, and I’d give him 6 if I could. One thing you should know about is parking. If you park in their parking lot, you’ll pay like $ 20 for like 20 mins (slight overexageration, but I forgot exactly what I paid). However, diagonally across the street there’s cheap parking which is like $ 1/​hour. If you go down Bali Way, and drive through the light, there’s a parking lot called something like Parking Lot #5 on your righthand side. That’s where it is.

Trista! Trista! Trista! Dr Stoker is great too, but if you want to do some things without going under the knife, get your botox/​filler done with Trista. Im a hairstylist and I have to look in the mirror all day long. Needless to say, Im scrutinizing my wrinkles way more than the average person. But there is a fine line in looking good and looking like a freak show. Trista makes me look great! I feel like I look 10 years younger and get comments from clients like «you look pretty» or «your skin looks great». If you are ever considering anything, filler in the lips, under the eyes or around the mouth, Trista is your girl.

In 2014 I had several procedures performed by Dr. Stoker: Extended Abdominoplasty with Public Lift; Panniculectomy (one surgery session) and Arm Lift, Breast Lift, Bra-​line Back Lift (several months later). I could not be happier with my results and am about to book my third surgery with him.
After a lot of vetting of other local surgeons, it was clear that Dr. Stoker was the best choice for me. He was the most enthusiastic about how he could help me complete my physical transformation after 150 pounds of weight loss through diet and exercise.
Dr. Stoker is a true artist and an extremely skilled surgeon. The staff he employees are top-​notch as well. Everything at his surgery center is state of the art and I never felt like not being at a hospital setting was a concern.
He has a very busy practice, successful too — so you have to bring your patience at times. But his talents and skills are well worth your time and money.

Just has my consult w dr stoker. He himself is wonderful. Truly a smart, hardworking, ultra caring, extremely skilled surgeon. Beautiful office, with meticulous attention to detail. Only reason for four stars is that after my consult was finished w dr stoker, he told me to wait in the room for his patient coordinator, heather too arrive. More than 20 minutes go by and I decide to ping the front desk to make sure they know I’m waiting. At which point heather is finally ready. I tell her I was waiting for twenty minutes and she completely ignored me. So I repeated myself, which at THAT point she THEN apologized for the wait. What was the reason I was ignored?! That attitude just rubbed me the wrong way, that cold, uncaring aloofness. Something like that would make me think twice about coming here. Parking ended up being $ 15 which would have been nice to be comped due to the wait. No big deal. But the flaw is that there was a free parking lot across the street that I could have parked in had someone from the office said something!
Aside from this rockiness, dr stoker is truly one of the finest and I really enjoyed speaking with him regarding my desire for revision surgery. def worth the time spent with him.

I had the good fortune to meet Dr. Stoker in early 2014 after I had decided to explore having a modified «Mommy Makeover» to help give me back some of what was lost after having a baby and a year of breastfeeding.
I am in good shape but after losing the baby weight, I was left with smaller breasts with considerably less volume than before the baby (C cup before baby, small B cup after baby). The other area of concern for me was the pubic/​labia area which was left with excess skin following the birth of my baby and the weight loss. I should also mention that I was 3 months shy of 45 years old when I had my baby (my first) so I was well aware that I was not going to snap back quite like a 25 year old would.
When I saw Dr. Stoker for my consultation, I explained that for my breasts I just wanted to replace fullness without making a statement because I am physically active and prefer a more fit, balanced look as opposed to being too busty. He totally understood and suggested a 250 – 300 cc silicone «gummy bear» medium profile implant for the most natural look. For the area «down there» I explained that I wanted it tidied up a bit as I was self conscious due to the excess loose skin. During the exam, Dr. Stoker saw an opportunity to revise my c section scar to make it less visible while in the process of doing a mini pubic lift and removing some excess skin on the lower abdomen. He also suggested a labia majora reduction and the removal of some excess skin of the labia minora and clitoral hood based on my concerns. Fortunately for me, I did not need a full on tummy tuck.
I was so comfortable with Dr. Stoker and the plan he had come up with for me that I scheduled the surgery with him and cancelled the consultation I had scheduled with another plastic surgeon. I felt strongly that he fully understood the aesthetic I was trying to achieve and I put my trust in his hands to determine the size of implant that would best fit me proportionally while meeting my goals.
At the writing of this review, I am 5 months post op and am beyond thrilled and happy with the result! My breasts are a perfectly balanced 34D for my 5’8″ medium build and everything «down below» looks great! Dr. Stoker is not only a caring doctor but a true artist. Furthermore, his staff are all amazing! I cannot say enough good things about him and would recommend him without hesitation to anyone considering any plastic surgery. He truly is the BEST!

Dr. David Stoker is hands down not only an expertise in his field but as meticulous, ethical and caring as a highly skilled Plastic Surgeon comes! I worked directly with David Stoker as his administrative patient coordinator, walking the patient through the process from A to Z with him for 11 years. I recently decided to have my broken nose fixed and while I was under I figured I would get a hump I always disliked removed. I found dr stoker right away. He listened to all my concerns, and made suggestions to make my surgery better, as I was very afraid. I LOVE my results, I needed to have tubes removed 4 days later. On the third day, they started to hurt, so my husband called Dr Stoker (on a Sunday night), and he met us down at his office to remove the tubes, at no additional cost, or pressure. I will be a long time patient of his and his facility.

Simply put Dr Stoker is the BEST!
I had a tummy tuck and laser breast lift with Dr Stoker in July 2013. From my consult to my procedure, and my post op recovery he proved himself to be a step above the rest.
I knew when choosing a plastic surgeon there were several things I needed: firstly my safety was important, I needed a safety conscious doctor, I asked many questions about his plastic surgery training, he went to the best schools and his education & training is impeccable, he surrounds himself with a great support team from the anesthesiologist and surgical support team in the operating room. Secondly I wanted someone who is highly skilled who has performed my procedure 100’s of times, I wanted a doctor who takes pride in achieving the best possible results for his patients. Lastly but importantly I wanted a kind caring surgeon that is compassionate and listens, Dr Stoker more than exceeded all of my expectations.
My initial consult was simply amazing, he has a beautiful office and surgery center in Marina Del Rey, on the 10^th floor, with stunning views of the Marina. Dr Stoker spent a great amount of time with me answering my (4pages) of questions, going through the procedure, what I could expect in terms of results. I was unsure if I wanted implants, he told me I could have them if I wanted them, but I didn’t need them, I’m glad I listened to his advice and I’m more than happy with my beautiful natural perky breasts!
He is affiliated with Serenity post surgical care in Santa Monica and he has a ambulance transport you on a gurney, he really cares about your post op comfort, whereas I know other plastic surgeons who will sit you up and put you in a car (unimaginable to me)
Dr Stoker is a surgeon whom is not only dedicated to his skill but his patients too, I believe he goes above and beyond for his patients, even coming to check on me in the recovery center the next day.
As for my results… I had lost almost 100 lbs, and had loose skin, and a little extra remaining abdominal fat that wasn’t going anywhere. What can I say, Wow, Holy Cow! I have the most amazing, stunning transformation, words can’t describe what Dr Stoker was able to achieve, (not brave enough to post pics) have the belly and boobs of a teenager, even the nurses at the recovery center were impressed, and they also hold Dr Stoker in very high regard, and would say to me he is one of the best in LA (& they see a lot of plastic surgeons) believe me Dr Stoker delivers fantastic results!
6 weeks into my recovery, my scars were already so fine and thin, it seems almost impossible that he used a scalpel, his skill is phenomenal, truly impressive.
Dr Stokers post op care of me has been wonderful, I have seen him at least 4 times since surgery, he obviously takes great pride in every aspect of his work including keeping a close eye on your recovery, which in my case has been flawless. I tell everyone I could not believe that I literally had NO PAIN, which goes to show the consummate skill of Dr Stoker.
Also I want to mention his staff, all whom are wonderful too, Christine, Wendy, Marina and Bree are all a credit to his practice.
Ultimately if you are looking for the best plastic surgeon in Los Angeles, and looking for a Dr whom is friendly, kind and cares… look no further, you have found him!
