Escape Charters

Just wanted to put in a good word for Escape Charters and Captain Mark.
I had some friends in from out of town and since it was a warm sunny day we looked for something to do on the water. We were just going to do the generic harbor cruise thing but then found Escape Charters via an internet search and decided to go for that. And boy we were glad we did! My friends and I had a blast on the boat. Basically we brought our own food and drinks and the boat had everything else we needed (plates, utensils, napkins, etc.). We cruised up to Malibu while drinking, eating and enjoying our own music played through the boat’s sound system. Speaking of the boat, it was extremely comfortable with different seating and lounging areas, so you could be in or out of the sun, sitting, standing around or even laying out on the front of the boat. We did not see any whales (maybe it’s not the right time of year?) but we did come across dolphins at different parts of our journey. When we got to Malibu we basically set anchor and had a great time. Mark and his crew are extremely friendly and a lot of fun. A nice touch was having some snack size chocolates around the boat, as we did not bring any of our own dessert. On the way back we spent some time with Mark up in the captain’s area learning a little about the boat and he even let my girlfriend steer for a little while!
All in all it was a blast and everyone had a great time. Sure it cost more than just doing the harbor cruise thing with a hundred other people but we all felt it was worth every penny.
