Like many corporations in America today, there was a time when this company was well run and very concerned with customer service. When Joyce was the manager 9 yrs ago, I felt I was with a real caring company. I had two lockers there for many years. However, the olé «churn em an burn em» has become the new business model. You’ll get your stuff in there at a good rate and they’ll just start increasing it knowing what a hassle it will be for you to move it. You’ll be bled, and this is made even easier if you sign up for their auto pay. When I asked what new customers pay for the same 4ft by 5 ft locker I’m paying $ 138 a month for I was told they would only be paying $ 84, and that’s part of some promotion. I suggested I move out and move back in but they don’t allow that. I suggested a negotiated price but they wouldn’t budge.
Find a place that won’t use you with accelerating escalations. I did and moved this weekend. The only saving grace we have for this type of corporate greed is Unilocal.The employees at the counter are nice people. They’ve just been rendered powerless. I was told you can only email the corporate decision makers… no phone calls. Maybe they are up for sale? Maybe this is a way to juice the books? I really don’t know the motive, but I bet it’s a good guess. The last smack in the face after I moved and paid them off? I simply requested they mail me a receipt so I’ll know they are done fleecing me. They said «that will cost you a dollar».

Awful experience, the owner is a fraud. Rented a uhaul truck, truck was filthy dirty and shocks were shot, steering was compromised and brakes barely worked. Tried calling office but could only get through to uuhaul corporate. Returned truck and counter said I did not have to refuel the quarter tank of gas I used due to condition of truck. I then received bill showing 78 dollar charge for two gallons if gas. Multiple calls to uhaul and emails to this shop with zero refund. Will contact Los angeles district attorney and department of transportation to report input safe condition of truck and will have credit card company refuse payment. Do not ever do business with this company.

I can’t speak for the storage itself, as I only am storing a car in the lot… but Ricardo helped us out and his service was phenomenal. I’ve had awful experiences in the past, and just wanted to send some positive words about how helpful and kind he was. Truly made the experience very pleasant.

I also would give this business a zero if I could. I would have moved out within weeks if I hadn’t put so much time and money into moving in. The young staff are nice enough, but the hours are terrible – 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., but they kick you out at 6:30 p.m. and are closed an hour mid-​day for lunch. If you want access during the work week it’s impossible. The lights in the halls are iffy and there are no lights in the units. The floor is so threadbare that it’s down to splinters and anything with wheels or slides gets stuck. There is one trash can near the office and that’s it. Culver City and surrounds have some lovely, new storage facilities with concrete floors, lots of lights including ones in each unit, and early and late hours. I accompanied a friend to her unit at 10:00 p.m. on a weeknight. Shop around and forget this one.

I booked a U-​Haul online and showed up at the time that I had reserved as a pick-​up time online. I also used the «Express Check-​In» feature that U-​Haul had sent me to make my pick up easier. When I arrived at my pick-​up time, there was no one in the office. I waited 20 minutes and no one ever showed up so I went to lunch. Came back and my wife waited for 15 minutes to get the keys only to be told that I had to come in and sign papers despite using the Express Check in form. I walked in and the agent had already started working with someone else which took another 15 minutes. When I brought the truck back, I was asked to sit down and would be helped in a few minutes while the agent was on the phone. It the 3 – 4 minutes of being on the phone, she must have forgotten that I had been sitting there waiting so she got off the phone and started helping the person that just walked in. At this point I’m beyond pissed and it took another 20 minutes for her to check out the guy who cut me in line. When she realized that she had taken on another customer rather than me who had been waiting, she acknowledged it and just kept doing what she was doing. All in all, I drove 10 miles, emptied a storage space, drove 10 miles back and unpacked it and I swear it took less of my day than it took me to get the truck and return the truck. Truly awful experience.

They seem nice, prices are OK… Move in deals are good. Wasn’t even there a year before they had a $ 10/​mo price increase. Limited access hours, lighting unreliable. Don’t buy anything you don’t absolutely need… No refunds on packing supplies… Not even within 2 minutes of purchase.
Found a place cheaper, closer, open ²⁴⁄₇ with easy access and nice helpful staff…
