Goodwill Donation Center

I’ve donated here many times. Almost every time they help me unload and are courteous. Occasionally there is someone who is not so helpful or friendly but overall it’s a good experience. The location and parking are great.

Aweful. Go the the west hollywood location where people will help you unload and they take everything and they have a smile. The lady who works here is horrid and has no customer service skills at all. Only take every second thing– don’t waste your good graces on this place.

Very nice and clean facility, but the workers here are so rude! What’s with the attitude… how hard is it to sit on your ass all day? Because that’s what they were doing when I got here

The workers here have always been very helpful and appreciative. Someone has always been at my car door to help tote my donations before I have even turned off the engine.
Let’s have some compassion, folks. These are workers making minimum wage with no benefits. Some of them are learning important job skills through Goodwill’s job training programs. You’ve got 30 pairs of very nice shoes or you’ve got great stuff mostly UNUSED? Consider yourself fortunate. Did you ever consider that the workers may be instructed not to take things out of a car, so that Goodwill is protected from claims the wrong things were taken?
The secondary street is sketchy? Write the mayor, don’t blame Goodwill. This store is BRAND NEW. The walls are plate glass and the parking lot is concrete, not asphalt. You can see everything going on in the store and on the parking lot if you have any concerns about your safety. The main entrance is on Lincoln Blvd. Frankly, I can’t figure out how Goodwill can be in a new, clean, well lighted building on Lincoln Blvd in MdR, but it is extremely convenient and I am happy Goodwill is located here.
Show some empathy for these workers. Save your complaints for establishments that charge you money and don’t give you the treatment to which you feel entitled.

Both prior reviews are true… so I have to rate this location a 3. One lady who works there came out to help but I was on an important call and wasn’t ready to unload my items yet (30+ pairs of very nice shoes, many in boxes)
She went back in, annoyed and sat down to resume doing nothing lol. She later said «I went out there to help you but you ain’t want my help».
Both ladies ended up helping me and thanked me for the donation.
Some people are this way naturally and mean no harm. Kill em with kindness!
Location is a convenient alley also. Just don’t leave a running car with your purse in it unattended ;-)

Very convenient location with a parking lot in the back. The whole donation process took me roughly 3 minutes: brought the box of stuff in, the woman working put it in the big bin, she asked what was in it, gave me a tax form, and we both went on with our day. The previous reviewer seemed displeased with the woman’s attitude… Having just moved here from New Jersey, her demeanor didn’t bother me. She also told me to have a blessed day upon leaving, so she can’t be all that bad!
I took off a star, because the back street where the lot is (the one that runs parallel to Lincoln Blvd) is pretty sketchy.

HORRIBLE!!! I will NEVER give to any Goodwill Stores again after the way I was treated here! And I WILL NEVER SHOP at another Goodwill Store again. The woman who came to my car to help me said «I don’t get paid to take the stuff out of your car»!!! And her other two co-​workers just stood there!!! I said «fine, I’ll take it to the Venice women’s shelter». At least they will appreciate it there! I have NEVER been treated like that at any Goodwill stores or drop off centers before! Usually they are very nice and helpful. We had some great stuff … most of it unused!!! If anyone from Goodwill Management reads these postings, the 3 people working at your donation center should be fired!!!
