Laguna Hot Tubs

Spa repair: Eric at Laguna Hot Tubs and his guy Julian have repaired my Free Flow spa, and Eric came out this morning to make sure any leaks were gone. They were both really nice people, the hands-​on guyJulian is very competent, and the spa repair cost seemed fair. They were impressed that the spa tub, which must be about 8 years old now, is still in good shape. It took a couple days to get back to me and took some time to get parts in, but then they worked efficiently. The competition had said, «Those spas fail, so you’ll probably need a new one,» then wanted credit card info to charge an upfront fee and then said their man was booked for a week. Glad we were able to use Laguna!

Paul seems like a nice guy, but he just is not competent and I ended up paying the price for it.
Paul came in and gave me an estimate to fix a small leak which would be his 2 hour minimum, or $ 170 as o f the date of this review. This is excessive based on having called other repair people afterwards because he did NOT fix the leak. Moreover, he added an additional half hour to the bill without asking me because he said it took him so long to find the parts — as though it is my responsibility to pay for his time to find hot tub parts that he should already know where to find based on being a hot tub service technician. So in short, his initial estimate was higher than the competition, he then charged me extra that I had not agreed to, and he did not fix the problem.
You can find better people out there to fix your hot tubs.

I was sent to this one-​guy dealer from my hot tub manufacturer for some repair items that I needed to purchase/​replace. The owner here, Paul, is a truly outstanding guy. He was prompt in taking or returning my phone calls and I felt took very good care of me during the order process. He’s a genuine old-​fashioned great business owner and those are in short supply. Highly recommended for repairs, new hot tubs and parts/​service.
