Rainbow Acres Natural Foods

Owners! Those two «women» making the food are just unacceptable and have horrible energy. I’m a local and as much as it would be convent for me to go there to feed my healthy palate, I will never go back. Those women are rude to all the customers and are blatantly nonchalant about completing orders for the usual long line of patrons. Every time I’ve been there I watch the polite Marina customers ignore their clear tackiness just wanting to keep the peace with the great little healthy market. I personally am just tired of pretending to be ok with those kind of people who don’t understand American customer service.
The rainbow acres on Washington has much better service and is truly awesome minus the horrible service.

My favorite Natural Foods store! This shop has a great selection of natural foods, beauty products, vitamins and more! They carry many brands I like that Whole Foods do not carry. There are even items for aromatherapy and other health related goodies. The deli located inside the store has really great, wholesome food. The vegetable soup I tried was served hot, not lukewarm like most places I go to. The vegetable deluxe sandwich was flavorful and consisted of a variety of veggies. The portions are large. Not only does Rainbow Acres have a great selection on natural foods and products, the staff is knowledgeable and always friendly.

I’ve been requesting the Bart and Judy’s Best chocolate chip cookies GLUTEN FREE for a while now and the owner has not ordered them. I keep getting the run around «next week.» I“m extremely dissapointed because I love going to this store and I would usually go there about 2 times a week to buy vitamins, lunch, and my cookies. Since they are not ordering them for me or everyone else that has been requesting them, I decided to start buying my cookies and supplements at the Rainbow Acres on Washington. Until then, I will keep my stars at 3.

Nice shop with all your vitamins and juices. This place even has a little café that has sandwiches, burgers, soups. salads, shakes and smoothies. It is reasonably priced for natural food @$ 7.50 for a sandwich and burger. I think shakes were $ 5.00 so not terrible for being a local spot. I also like that it is in a shopping center and has 2 tables outside or counters inside to eat there.

Came by today after realizing I don’t need to go «shopping for clothes» and feel frustrated, insecure, and inadequate. Going to this one store made me feel for the first time in my life that I was not good enough & I hated those reminders, so I came here to literally heal myself with products that would make me beautiful on the inside.
Thanks (and I mean, a big THANK YOU) to Cameron for hooking me up with a bunch of good stuff for my needs. I put a lot of importance on not just the outer beauty, but inner beauty as well, and the stuff I bought today was a great investment on my health.
It made me realize how important it is to have beauty from within via health and well being, not just shopping.
I feel a billion times more beautiful, more together, than when I had entered that shopping store before here. I did spend a lot, but here it is very worth it compared to the typical woman who works on her outer beauty (even when she isn’t that «hot»).
Made me feel sooooo much better that I am on the right track, this cool track to actually being cool instead of trying so hard to be cool.

They actually Helped Us ! We wanted a product they no longer can obtain from the maker and Cameron, Bless his Little Heart — Helped us ! FYI The two Rainbow Acres are Independently Owned — The Washington Location told us they did not carry it and the Cashier, Brunette in a Pony Tail — DID NOT offer any other Help — i.e., an Alternative Product — OWNERS TAKE NOTE ! The Washington Location is Letting Customers Walk Out the Door having Bought NADA ! Not Good for the Bottom Line — We live closer to the Washington Location — However, we will Travel to the «Toney» MDR Location because they Care About Their Customers and They Know How to DO BUSINESS !

Grocery store /​café. They sell vitamins too. Cranberry chicken salad overwhelmed my tastebuds for lunch. It was so good with green apples slices, walnuts, cranberry and vegan mayo. I’ll definitely pop in for quick lunch when in the area again.

Great place to grab a quick sandwich. Fresh and healthy. I’m actually starting to prefer over Mendocino Farms just across the parking lot. You get a lot more food, quicker and for less money.
I haven’t gone shopping in this store. It is very small. Prefer to go to their larger location on Washington.

I really like this place. Granted, I have not tried their lunch menu but I generally go there for their supplements. I usually find what I need when other health food stores do not have the item. That is a major plus! This place never fails me. The reason it lacks one star is because the supplements are usually pricier than other competitors online. Of course, it can have a lot to do with the fact that online competitors have better loop-​holes in their tax mechanisms and sales profits, but I still think some items can be overly overpriced.
However, I enjoy this place for its true self of selling all natural products. Like I said, it has never failed me when I need a certain item, places like Sprouts or Wholefoods can’t provide, and so I would recommend this place in a heartbeat, which I have.
I am also looking forward to trying their menu!

The café here is great. Really yummy healthy food. I eat here almost everyday and it never gets old. The staff is really helpful and will help you with a customized meal prep option if you’re trying to lose weight and not compromise taste.

Don’t waste your time at this location. The food is good but the service is just awful. First, the pre-​made soup I ordered took them 15 minutes to get ready. All they had to do is scoop it from the pot into a to-​go container. Secondly, I was looking for bread and all I saw is what was in the frozen section. I asked a worker where I could find the non-​frozen bread and her response was, «I don’t know». Amazing! You have one job to do and that’s to know where the damn bread is! Anyways, I’m just gonna go to the one on Washington even though it’s less convenient but at least they understand customer service there.

Have been coming here for their banana bread because it was good and my 8 month pregnancy craving for them kicked in. Half way through a slice and I noticed blobs of fuzz. Freaking mold all on the bottom of the bread! Steer clear from it. They should know better than to shelve baked banana bread for 10 days outside. Usually I would dismiss it but being pregnant and careful with eating healthy and organic, well… MOLD was definitely not on my list.

This Rainbow Acres in Marina Del Rey is my favorite Rainbow Acres. The staff are kind hearted and the food is amazing. I was welcomed when I walked in and the manager helped me find the specific granola I was looking forward to. I give this location a strong five stars and I can not wait to come back!

I’ve been both locations and they’re both awesome. This one is closer to my office, so I usually go here. I haven’t shopped in the market so I can’t comment much there. It does look pretty well stocked and definitely not lacking in variety.
As for the food, I usually get the turkey sandwich with avocado on whole grain. HUGE sandwich that’s packed full of flavor and yummy goodness. I normally get fruit as a side but opted for the macaroni salad today and it wasn’t bad! I also love that they offer fresh pressed juice here. You can choose from one of their combos or create your own. I usually get the beet/​carrot/​orange/​ginger combo. Great balance of flavor from each of the ingredients and is pretty well priced for fresh pressed juice in LA.
Note: the place itself is located in the same plaza as Mendocino Farms, CPK, Chipotle, etc. — so the parking lot can get pretty packed.
Verdict: Healthy, flavorful food. Great variety. Love the juice. Staff can be cranky sometime. Will definitely continue to come back regularly.

Small natural goods store with a lot of basic necessities but the store café packs some big flavors for a great price. This was my first time here but my friend really likes the food here. I didn’t expect to have the most amazing black bean burger here! Deliciously flavored, good amount of seasoning, good texture and a great quality bun! I wish we bought some of those buns to take home with us! Really good texture and flavor, for sure ! My friend had the tuna salad sandwich– a giant portion of it– with a side of pasta salad. Also very tasty. Each item (including the side) was around $ 7.50, which is a great deal for the quality you get.

In search of a healthy place for lunch, I decided to check out Rainbow Acres. I frequent the Chipotle and Mendocino Farms across the plaza, so I was expecting parking to be a nightmare at 12:30 PM on a Saturday. Fortunately though, there were a couple spots right in front.
Upon walking in, I liked how the café was set up with counter style seating as well as seats along the windows. I ordered an egg and avocado sandwich on wheat bread with a side of brown rice/​lentils, as well as the energy protein smoothie. I was ecstatic when I saw that all of this only came to $ 11.
There was a decent amount of people waiting for food, but it certainly wasn’t packed. Based on other reviews though, I was a little worried that it may take 20+ minutes for me to get my order. I took a seat at the counter and when my food and smoothie arrived around 10 minutes later, I was pleasantly surprised! The sandwich itself was HUGE. The egg salad and avocado were piled high to the point where I could barely fit my mouth around it. The bread was super fresh and light (they bake all their breads fresh) and certainly rivaled Mendocino’s «Mama’s Whole Wheat» bread. The egg salad wasn’t too heavy and the avocado was a nice creamy complement. The brown rice/​lentil side was very hearty and healthy, although it certainly could’ve used some salt. The smoothie was really good too. There was the perfect amount of banana flavor in it.
Overall this was a very solid meal made with ingredients that tasted and felt fresh. And the main reason I give it five stars is the value. I love Mendocino but a sandwich alone over there costs $ 11. Add a side and you’re looking at $ 15+. For less than half the price at rainbow ($ 6.95) I was able to get a huge sandwich and a large portion of a side. And as the cherry on top, I was even able to get a regular-​sized smoothie; all for the price of just a sandwich at Mendocino! It’s really hard to beat value like that in this area. I will certainly be returning!

Decent selection of healthy foods at their deli. Their acai bowls are ok. The location on Washington is much bigger and has more variety of everything.
I like their huge selection of Yogi Teas. Overall, this Rainbow is ok, it’s just really small.

When you are in the mood for a sandwich, juice soup, or salad Rainbow acres is the place to be. There are 2 locations not that far from each other. One off of Washington and the other in the Marina del Rey shopping plaza on Admirality. They have a great selection of freshly made juices in which you can order pre-​made combinations or make your own. They are affordable at less than $ 6. They have a great selection of vegetarian options and specials of the day. They make their own yummy soups as well and generally have two options per day. While you wait to have your meal made, it is also a health food store so you can browse the bulk bins or the clearance aisle. They have supplements and healthy snacks as well.

I am a lover of honey and as of late I have been eating a half to full tablespoon of raw organic honey for its health properties…
I found a jar of raw organic blossom honey here. I love to drizzle it over raw walnuts and sheep yogurt or vanilla ice cream.
The store has this «hippy» smell that I can’t figure out, it’s either incense or essential oils: p
My aunt lives close by and makes an awesome gluten free shrimp pizza from a crust mix they sell here and she says they have really good prices on green ware and other eco friendly food containers. My other friend turned me on to the apple/​cilantro/​cucumber fresh juice from here.
