Soft Touch Dental: Azita Rayet, DDS

I’ve had nothing but good experiences at Soft Touch with the exception of having had a bit of confusion over the timing of my very first appointment there a couple of years back. But it’s been smooth sailing ever since. They’re sometimes open on Saturdays for convenience, and they work carefully and efficiently during appointments. I’ve referred friends who’ve also had good experiences. If someone has a bad time there, they probably need to examine what they’re bringing to the party.

I’m the kind of person with constant teeth issues from grinding and needs a chill, supportive, effective and cost efficient dentist on call always. When I moved to the Westside 5 years ago I found Soft touch dental and Dr. Rayet and have been a huge fan since day one. They are flexible with scheduling and offer Saturday appointment options and give great reminder time texts. The vibe is positive and I feel like the whole team is supportive and present to make it the best experience possible. Also they are great at helping with insurance claims and the paperwork. I highly recommend this dentist and the office. I always park at the shopping center across the street so it’s free and don’t have to worry about street parking. Read the reviews and you know she is amazing.

We saw this doctor for my kids thinking she is a pediatric dentist. She traumatized my little boy. After we moved to other dentists, we realized my son has major cavities that this doctor never mentioned nor noticed. That was v irresponsible. If she does not have the right expertise, she should inform the patient.

Best dental practice ever!!! I’m so glad I came back to Dr. Rayet after two years. She is truly skilled and gentle, and personable as well. Celso was also very helpful and addressed all of my concerns. The office itself is sparkling clean and beautiful, which puts me at ease. I have quite a bit of anxiety every time I go to the dentist, but Soft Touch Dental makes the experience a lot less stressful.

I like this woman. Her office is super clean, the people are efficient, and she’s pleasant. She’s very state-​of-​the-​art and seems very bright. This is a good dentist.

Dr. Rayet is great. I found her on Unilocal because I’m within walking distance. I got a root canal, 3 fillings, and a mouth guard all of which were totally painless, separate procedures. I was especially grateful because my root canal was performed on a tooth which had a crown and I was told that if the crown broke, it would cost $ 1,000 extra. Needless to say I was super stressed about this extra charge but the doctor was very careful and did not break my crown during the root canal procedure. Whew! Painless, honest, and prompt service. I am convinced that a female dentist is the way to go. They are simply more gentle. The gentleman at reception is very helpful too with insurance coverage questions.

I just love this lady! I have had recurring issues with a tooth — it has gone through 2 dentists, a root canal and still was in pain. She found out there was a crack in that tooth, fixed the issue and I have no more complaints. She was also very attentive to the fact that I was still breast feeding and we did a deep cleaning anesthesia free and it wasn’t too painful! Unfortunately I moved away from the area but I can not recommend her enough.

I would love to recommend Dr. Rayet and her great Staff members and dental assistants.
I had no pain at all and she was very trustworthy and took care of me and my wife.
She explained everything and understood my needs.
All the appointments were extremely punctual.
the office is very clean and she has all the new technology with X-​rays and digital pictures of your tooth, and she explains you very thoroughly.
Another plus is that the staff speaks Spanish and they helped me a lot with some terminology because I am from Mexico.
She accepted my dental insurance and explained me all my benefits.
I am very happy with the results and with the plan of keeping our healthy mouth!

I’ve been going to Dr Rayet for several years and she’s great. Her staff is very professional and they really do a great job. My dad was a dentist so I’m pretty picky.

I found Dr. Rayet through a friend and have been so pleased that I became one of her patients. She has a terrific staff and is always on call if I have a problem. What I like most is that once you have had your appointment, she or someone from her office calls to see how you are doing. That is really terrific and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dentist.

I love Dr. Reyet and the whole staff! I’ve always had nervous moments going to the dentist and she’s the only dentist I’ve ever had that I completely trust. I’ve never really had any pain in her chair and she’s always super attentive to my needs. I could not recommend her enough! You won’t regret it :)

I searched for a dentist in Marina del Rey through Unilocal and I do not regret my choice as Dr. Rayet proved to be fantastic.
I phoned and the assistant at the front desk was more than helpful to inform me about my insurance and coverage. She offered an appointment that very same week which was great as I needed to take care of my teeth before moving.
Once in the office, they took care of me right away. There was no wait whatsoever. I have to say that every one in the staff is kind and attentive on assisting to your needs.
Dr. Rayet was honest in assessing what I had to get done.
In every single treatment she was focused, assertive, comforting and present at every step of the process. She wasn’t chatty with the assistants. All the talk was around taking care of what I needed done. She was checking on me while she was working on my teeth as I needed a root canal and a crown, which she took care of in two different appointments. She wanted to make sure I was doing fine.
I have to confess that the treatment was pain free and the soreness once the anesthesia wore out, I took care of with Advil. I went to work and for dinner with friends in the evening.
To me, fear of the dentist is now something of the past. Once you feel comfortable with the good care of a dentist, you become a loyal patient.
Regular checkups are a must and Dr. Ayelet is now my dentist of choice.

I’ve been a patient for Dr. Rayet for almost two years. We did a couple of filling, crowns, and inlays. The place is hygiene and the staff is very friendly. I really enjoyed my visits to this place. Also, Dr. Rayet is very honest, unlike other dental centers, they don’t over charge…

I was really really dreading going to get my cracked fillings repaired. My teeth are sensitive and I always freak out at the dentist, especially when I hear the drill. I prefer every other kind of medical visit over going to the dentist (except maybe the urologist– bleghhh).
With much anxiety I headed to Soft Dental to get my fillings re-​done by Dr. Rayet. To my extreme surprise and delight, she did them very quickly and skillfully and without causing me any pain! The shots were quick, she kept asking me if I was ok (which I was), and I got to watch a movie the whole time. I turned up the volume so I couldn’t hear the drill. I have to say, that was the least unpleasant dentist visit I have ever experienced. It was almost relaxing. That’s saying a lot considering dentist visits usually make me very anxious. Dr. Rayet is truly talented, skillful, and considerate.
Her staff is fantastic too. Shovaka and Celso were great, as well as the dental hygenist whose name I do not know.
Highly recommended.

After reading these reviews, I wonder — did I go to a different dentist than all of the people below?
This was truly the worst dental experience I have ever had. I wish I could undo every minute of going to that office.
I went in for a routine cleaning. I came out with an inconclusive diagnosis, pain all throughout my mouth, was pressed into buying a product I didn’t need (which I rejected), choked on my own saliva, and listened to the doctor yell at her assistant. But it wasn’t over then. A week later ZocDoc (which I used to book the appointment) informed me that the office also claimed that I did not show up for the appointment and would penalize me. Trust me — I would give any no-​show penalty on ZocDoc to have had that be the case.
On arrival, I was told that I have a form of gum disease which no dentist has never told me of before, and I never miss a cleaning. While I tried to ask follow-​up questions (I brush and floss diligently every day without exception and was surprised) I was just told to floss. Which I do, daily without exception. I was also told three times that I am a smoker, which I am not. Now I am concerned about the state of my mouth with no way to resolving it. The doctor brushed me off completely with every question I asked.
During a quick filling (so small that I didn’t need anesthesia), the doctor yelled at her hygienist for getting the wrong tools, which was unprofessional. The worst part was the fact that I actually choked on my own saliva because it wasn’t suctioned out. It was horrific. No wait, the worst part was the doctor blaming me for having a cavity on a back tooth, which is, according to her, why I choked my saliva, though she had just screamed at her assistant for failing to do the routine properly. It was actually my fault that tears streamed from my eyes as I tried to breathe during the smallest dental procedure possible.
At the end, i asked again what I can do to better for my gums. Again, I was told to floss, which I do. I was also told that i should buy some rinse because my gums bled severely during the cleaning. I told her my gums have never bled before this appointment. I was told that I need antibiotic rinse for my bleeding gums. Because they apparently routinely bleed. Was I speaking a different language to Dr. Rayet?
The rinse I was told to get was to be $ 25. I said no because my gums don’t routinely bleed, ever. I later found out that my insurance would have completely covered it. Instead I was pressed to throw in another $ 25 for a product I don’t need. It could have been written as a prescription. Weirdly enough, my gums haven’t bled since, so I didn’t need it after all.
Later that night my gums were in extreme pain. It was hard to eat. A week later, I have to follow up with ZocDoc to get the penalties cleared after the lie that I didn’t show. Trust me, Soft Dental, I truly wish I hadn’t.

Exceptional customer service. Very friendly. Very fast service — I had to get a crown put in and was in and out w/​in 30 minutes!
I also have a horrible fear of dentists and anything that has to do w/​a dental visit so about a year and a half ago they put a temporary crown in and told me to come back in, in 2 weeks. I never did because I figured my temp would work… well a year and half later it cracked — called them — they took me in same day — they STILL had my original crown from a year and a half ago and it STILL FIT! (which is rare)
They even have Netflix so I got to watch New Girl while they were working on my crown! Love it! :)

Dr. Rayet is the best dentist I have ever experienced. She is absolutely stellar!
Even with my bad teeth, she is patient, professional; encouraging and caring.
Run, don’t walk, to book an appointment with Soft Touch Dental. No matter what condition your teeth, Dr. Rayet will treat you with dignity and make them better. Dr. Rayet is as good as dentists get.

My husband first started going to Dr Rayet — his dental needs are more extensive than mine. :-) I had not found a dentist in CA since I’d moved here, so always went to one in KS. One visit to Dr Rayet, and I was sold! She is very courteous, pleasant and thorough. I always have excellent service from her, and the staff almost always calls me to remind me of my appointments. She doesn’t upsell me unnecessarily, and does a great job. She is very fair and reasonable, and NICE! Don’t look any further than Dr Rayet!

She and Celso have a really great office and state of the art tech. My family of 5 were in and out of there within three hours this morning. Everyone loves «the dentist» now and we feel super lucky to have found this place.
