BEWARE: my fried rice had egg in it! Was told they«share a kitchen with another restaurant» as an excuse. Have eaten here for years and might have been eating animal products all along. Careless and unethical. Avoid.

SANTAMONICALOCATIONONLY. Just ordered take out from MDR location. Nothing was good. Soggy dumplings stuck together no flavor. Vegetable fried rice came with no vegetables. Fresh rolls fell apart. Never will order from here again.

My girlfriend who is starting to eat really healthy ordered from this place. I was reluctant because I had never eaten a full vegan meal. I was surprised at how good it was. It’s now my favorite late night delivery dinner movie spot.

Don’t be confused with this place and the spot on Santa Monica. While the place on Santa Monica is fantastic, this location is below average. Their pad thai taste like they cooked it with soy sauce and added red food dye to get the color right.

I do not know how this physically possible, but I placed an order for delivery through the Seamless app. Which estimated delivery taking between 40 – 50 minutes. I placed in the order instructions that I wanted to be called when the order was on it’s way, and after 10 – 15, my food was at the door. Unprecedented! I just noticed the restaurant is on the same street as my friend’s house to which I ordered the meal, but still that’s phenomenal. I ordered the This iced tea and Pad Thai. Both delicious. This is my first time ordering from this restaurant, so my experience is limited but I had a great one! Just off this exchange, would definitely recommend this place.

I honestly have no idea why this place is rated so highly, the food was pretty bland and terrible. I ordered the vegetable fried rice with soy chicken, the rice was anything but fried and was very over cooked and mushy. I didn’t have high hopes for this place going in and was still disappointed, will not be back.

I ordered a pad Thai Togo. I picked it up and it literally only took me 5 minutes to get back to where I was going to eat this pad Thai. I opened my container and it did not seem as fresh as I expected. All of the vegetables were sitting in the container for such a long time that it was not the color it was supposed to be. It was literally on the edge of turning brown. I tried to mix the noodles and the peanuts together but the noodles would not budge. It was literally a container of a block of noodles. Horrible … Such horrible results.

Thai Vegan II is technically a take-out only spot attached to Eastwinds Thai(which serves meat), just as an FYI. I got a green curry with tofu($ 8) and a spicy mint noodles($ 8). The green curry was neon green(not sure what caused that coloration) and not particularly spicy or hearty. The portion size is also pretty small, with about five large chunks of tofu and shards of other vegetables. It felt skimpy. The spicy mint noodles was tastier but basically consisted of 80% noodles and then a few vegetables here and there. So the food here is cheap, but you also don’t get much for it. All in all, this place is decent, but not great. If you’re looking for hearty, cheap vegan Thai food in the area, I would recommend LA Vegan on Centinela, which has far tastier dishes, with larger portion sizes, at roughly the same price. If you’re looking for gourmet vegan Thai, I’d highly recommend Satdha in Santa Monica, which is the best vegan restaurant in LA, Thai or otherwise.

Food’s OK. Can’t speak to the ambience since I’ve only gotten delivery, but everything on the menu tastes like it’s pre-packaged. You know those rows of takeaway boxes at Whole Foods and Rainbow Acres that look really bright and colorful, but it’s really just Spring Mix from one bag, Cabbage bits from another bag, maybe some pre-sliced«smoked» or «marinated» tofu, wrapped nicely in a tortilla you could find yourself in aisle 5? You can get essentially the same thing, from here, only delivered. If all you need is «no meat» then this place will meet your need.

This place is great. I had the chicken pad Thai from the lunch menu and when asked about which dumplings to get, the waitress let us do half and half to get both chicken and vegetable together. I didn’t get her name but she was extremely accommodating and friendly. Nice, peaceful atmosphere too!

We ordered the thai spicy rolls with rice paper from Marina location for delivery. We received the thai spicy wrap with tortilla. We called back to let them know and ask if they could switch out the rolls. They insisted we ordered the wrap and blatantly refused to switch them out. They were given an opportunity to make this situation right and absolutely failed. This is not the first time this location has made significant errors in an order. We have been regular customers for over a year and this experience was disappointing and absolutely unacceptable. These people don’t understand service and will never get my business again.

Thieves! I order food over the phone and two hours later the driver arrives with cold food. After I paid the bill, which seemed abnormally high, I looked at there menu prices online a quickly find out i was overcharged $ 16.27 on the order. I call them and they acknowledge that the driver overcharged me and they tell me he is on his was back to my apartment and will call me when he gets there. I tell them the food arrived cold, 2 hours late, and I was drastically overcharged. At this point i wanted to give them all the food back(uneaten) for a refund when the driver returned my change. They agreed and said the driver would be on his way. I repackage all the food and let it sit for another hour. An hour later the driver calls and says he is already home and cannot return my change or pick up the food. He apologized and convinces me to keep the food by offering a $ 24 credit on my next order. He assures me it will be in the system next time i call and there will not be a problem. I realize mistakes happen so i agree, but I paid in cash so I didn’t really have a choice. I call back a week later and talk to Diana. She tells me it is not in the system and that there is no manager available to talk to and that I will not be getting any credit. So in summary they blatantly ripped me off $ 16.27 and for the money I spent I got cold food that resembled a condensed pile of soup. The food that did arrive must have been left out for well over an hour. Stay away and avoid the headache, there are plenty of good thai options and this is not one of them. These people literally stole my money, the driver was likely trying to scam his way into a bigger tip after arriving over 2 hours after the order was called in.

I’m a huge fan of the Thai Vegan in Santa Monica, but since my last visit was super chaotic(see review), I decided to go to the one in Culver City since it was closer to where I usually stay when I’m in LA. This Thai Vegan was really tricky to find. I passed it several times and it’s near impossible to make a u-turn on Washington Blvd. I was lucky to find a parking spot a block away. I later found that there’s a tiny lot that can easily adjacent to the building, but there aren’t any lines to distinguish spots AND the cars that were parked in there did a standup job parking their cars. I’m being sarcastic. The sign on the building reads«Thai East Wind», plus it’s barely readable when you’re driving by. The part of the building that actually says that it’s Thai Vegan is on the side with the small parking lot. It’s tiny and it’s closer to the back of the building. When I got inside, I made an order To Go of my favorite dishes; Green Vegetable Tofu Curry, Brown Rice, Fresh Spring Rolls, and Tofu Satay(YUUUUM!!!) The lady had a very thick accent but she didn’t have an attitude so I didn’t mind too much. Waiting took approximately 20 min, which sounds about the same length of time it would take the other Thai Vegan to serve. I did order a lot so I can’t complain too much. The food was just as delicious, and a perfect way to end my day. Overall, the food is good, the parking is less than savory, and if you are having a hard time finding it too it’s next to the Jolly Roger Hotel. Will totally come back!

Ordered the vegan pad thai with soy chicken. Would have to say it was the worst pad thai ever. The absence of meat might have convinced the chef to make this version of pad thai super super sweet. Because thats all it was. Sweet on top of sweet. The broccoli in this dish is absolutely gross. It is overcooked to a very unpleasant texture. Vegan food does not have to be bad. This was pretty bad.

I’ve been to the Main Street location numerous times for takeout and to eat in also. Mostly takeout though because the seating area is definitely not ideal. I found out that another location had opened up that is actually closer to where I live! Yeah. Within walking distance of where I work. I’ve been here twice for lunch now and the taste is as good as the Main Street one… but the service and quality isn’t great. First of all don’t come here and think you can eat here. They have some stools and a counter but it’s a tiny tiny area. They are somehow connected to the Thai place next door… most likely owned by the same people… but not sure if you can eat Thai vegan food at Thai east wind. Secondly the service is extremely slow. Food takes a very long time to make as the person who takes your order is the one cooking it. Lastly if you order online go to Thai east wind to pick it up. On my first visit here a group of us walked over and ordered in person. It took forever to get our food as they make it to order I believe. My second visit I tried online ordering via Unilocal.I could hear someone working in the kitchen but couldn’t get their attention by ringing the bell. My friend ended up calling the phone number to get someone to help us. That’s when someone popped over from next door. The food is still very yummy and tasty which I’m happy about. The service and quality questionable. Before we left we checked our order and lucky for us because they had left something out. Their sticky rice mango us as delicious as ever and so is their pad Thai. The spicy rice wrap though was lacking. The wrap was extremely loose and wasn’t done well at all. There was also barely any tofu in it and the ingredients were mostly romaine lettuce. If they use rice paper then they really need to learn how to roll it tightly. It’s not extremely hard to do and just takes some practice. The peanut sauce and green spicy sauce were yummy which saved the wrap… but it’s much better done at the Main Street location. Still things they need to work out. I’ve always been happy with the quality and portion of the food I ordered at the main location.
