The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

I went here for the first time on a hot, sunny day. The two baristas were chatting when I walked in but immediately stopped their conversation when I walked up to the counter to order. I got an Iced Vanilla Latte to go. It was ready quickly and was delicious. As others have said, there is not much of a sitting area so I would not go back to order in. That being said, I was pleased with my experience and would return if I happened to pass by again.

Has a private lot in back too. Inside, there’s more places to sit than your typical bean. Several tables and seats in front, as well as a few extras more privately hidden in the back. If you live in the neighborhood (I don’t) I’d consider this a decent spot to hide out and read a book over a cup of coffee one morning.

I love this place. It’s clean, in a great location, and the staff are the nicest. Great spot, really!

Wifi was spotty — kept getting kicked off and needed to keep reconnecting manually. Told that that’s the way it is with a lot of people. Very loud and windows are designed to direct sunlight directly in your eyes.

Alway greeted with a smile and the coffee is the best. Caramel ice blended is a must try.

Been here now on three different occasions in the past month. Its a super small coffee bean, no place ever to sit unless you sit outside and outside is street side on Lincoln Blvd. NOT.
The coffee was decent, but Im just not sold on this one location. I think the location and the clausterphobic interior just doesn’t do it for me;.
The barista’s mehhh. not really friendly and I’ve experienced much better at the other two coffee beans I frequent.

I walked in and wanted a decaf drip but they were out. Then I asked for a regular dark roast and they were out. They only had light beans left and would have to brew a fresh pot. I muttered a joke about not having much selection to which the barista provided a reply that I didn’t care to catch.
But then he apologized for the temporary lack of variety and charged me for just a $ 1 refill. Well, my bad attitude melted. These small gestures really get to me, especially at the bigger chains where I’m not necessarily expecting them. It helped that the coffee was actually pretty damn good, too.

I like that the barista’s know your name when you come in, well not mine because I am not a regular but everyone else was called by there first name as they entered the front door. I am impressed. No starbucks I know ever does that. Coffee is great. Outside seating is available, however, it is on right on Lincon blvd which is really loud with traffic anytime day or night. I would not set up a coffee meeting with anyone here if you plan on hearing what they have to say. :P

Not sure was the fuzz is about. Good coffee but nothing to rave about. Typical chain coffee place, could be a Starbucks, a Caribou or the likes, just called differently.
Good service and parking lot in the back was a plus.

The staff is very friendly, and they keep the store very clean.
The outside seating is right along Lincoln, so it’s not the most relaxing location with the constant traffic and gas fumes.
It’s not as easy to find a power outlet for those long study, work or paper writing sessions. Power outlets are very limited compared to Manhattan Beach and others. Even inside, all the tables along the exterior window were lacking outlets, I believe.
I prefer Manhattan Beach due to the large amount of indoor and outdoor seating, the staff, and the access to power outlets from almost any table. The outdoor seating faces the parking lot which is nicely landscaped and not as loud as facing a major street.

Very nice staff working at this Coffee Bean, although I generally find that to be the case at all of these coffee shops, which I love way more than Starbucks (that’s saying a lot — I grew up on Starbucks in my family and massive amounts of it! After moving from TX to CA and discovering Coffee Bean, I can’t look at Starbucks the same way — it’s effected my relationship with my family, I’ll be honest. Once you’re a Starbucks nut it’s hard accepting anything or anyone else! Ha).
Anyways, sometimes the drinks aren’t as great as the ones made at my regular CBTL, but that’s probably because I stop there every morning and they know me by now :)

What a nice establishment. People working here were so nice, the place is kept clean and drinks are yummy!
Definitely worth the stop.
Private parking lot and patio.

We had just finished lunch and wanted some Peet’s coffee. However, there was none within 20 miles of where we were. We decided to give Coffee Bean a chance.
I enjoyed my soy latte very much. Parking though is very limited in most locations.
On a side note, there are over 180 Coffee Bean locations in the Los Angeles area which is huge. There are more Coffee Bean locations than Peet’s Coffee.

My go to is the English Breakfast Tea Latte with the NSA vanilla powder. Love it, and so sad there are no Coffee Bean locations in the South Bay area (closest location is in SF). C’mon Coffee Bean, open one up in my hood!

Came here and it was pretty quiet for a Friday evening. Ordered a Fru-​Tea. Staff was nice, service was fast.
Not much else to say, really. Sometimes, you crave an overpriced drink and you end up in one of these.

This Coffee Bean location is a-​ok when needing your morning coffee fix. Parking is usually easy in the lot behind the complex in the morning, but gets tough around lunch time. Inside you’ll find what you expect from a coffee place with a team ready to get you your coffee/​tea as quickly as possible to get you on your way. If you have time, the seats outside are nice although it’s not a great view or anything.

Convenience and Coffee are the main reasons to choose this location of Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. It’s especially handy if you are heading east on Washington Blvd and want to get in/​out quickly.

Starbucks who? I will drive miles to find a coffee bean, passing about a million or so starbucks along the way. Hands down better quality in every category. Especially the teas and food. Always friendlier staff as well.
Loved this particular location. Nice people watching. The coffee bean WIFi was broke, but there was one called TuttiFrutti that worked like a charm! :)

Never have I ever had a bad drink from this Coffee Bean. I’m here a lot not only because it’s convenient for me, but because I’ve never been unhappy here. The teas are always super hot, there’s never too much foam in the lattes, nor an overflow of ice if you want a cold drink. The blended drinks are as perfected as they can get and the baristas have always been pleasant.
The only thing I really hate is how crowded it can get, leaving me without a seat and without a coffee…*sigh

Did you know that every Coffee Bean in LA is Kosher?
I didn’t until today.
I went to go have some chai after work with a friend and work on my freelance stuff and unwind today to find this info out. Had I known, I might not have stopped for the Chinese prior to that. But I’d never had a problem going into a shop and eatting. And despite the fact that they informed me only food that was purchased there was to be eatten there, and that I had to go outside to eat… I didn’t mind. Hell it’s a nice day anyway.
I got my usual: chai with whipped cream on top. I also learned that their recipe for iced chai calls for a powder with the chai… so if you were wanting your shot of soy or what not with it like I do, you don’t need to pay extra for it.
I’m not sure if this location gets as much traffic as it’s in a bit of a tight intersection (Washington & Lincoln) and parking (in the lot-​free in the back) is not super visible from Lincoln.
It’s right next to a Dennys, the Sports Harbor Bar, and The Garter (where the monthly munch socials are hosted for the fetish crowd).
Speaking of which… the wifi…

We will never have the relationship that I do with…
just about every other chain/​hole in the wall coffee shop that doesn’t put childproofing on my web browsing.
