Valvoline Instant Oil Change

This place has the most amazing service. Why would anyone go to a dealership is beyond me! I was in and out in 20 minutes and very got out of my car. Including a tire rotation. Awesome job by Karl and his team.

I got my oil changed here a a few weeks ago, having been happy with the Valvoline in Hollywood. Good explanations, no upsell (which is why I don’t go the Chevy dealer anymore because it’s like being financially raped). The female tech noticed that there was some oil around the engine from the cap not being closed all the way. When I told her it was from the Valvoline in Hollywood she said «Well, we wouldn’t do that here.» Fast forward to present time when about a week ago I started noticing a burning smell when I was driving. Had the tires checked, all way okay. Fast forward to today, when I was driving myself and two children to San Diego for the holiday weekend. About ²⁄₃ of our way there, smoke starting pouring out of my engine and through the vent system. I got us to the side of the freeway and then to the next exit and a gas station. My kids were covering their faces from the burning fumes. I called AAA which was sending a flat bed. Again, note, we were two hours from home. As I was waiting, a very, incredibly nice older gentleman offered to take a look. Popped the hood and the problem was obvious: oil was sprayed all around the engine and the cap was RESTING on top. It wasn’t screwed in, it was just hanging out. My gas station angel wiped away all the oil spray everywhere and refastened the oil cap. That, it turns out, requires screwing it until it clicks TWICE. Valvoline apparently couldn’t even screw it in once, but did totally manage to screw me over. I still had to wait for AAA to show up and confirm. So we lost an hour and had a pretty traumatic event on our family get away. Um, if oil changes are your only job, how on Earth do you jack that up? You had one job. I will never return to Valvoline ever. You know, unless I need to film a special effect of my car catching on fire. Worthless, reckless, unprofessional. (And, per this location, again, the cap had not been properly screwed in tight at the Hollywood location either).

They do a fantastic job! In and out. Honest folks that do not pressure you to add more that what you need.
Great leadership in their workplace. Everyone works together to get the job done. This morning it was like art in motion.

Fast service in 15 minutes, and tried to sell you more expensive service. Did not top the level of different fluids, as it was mentioned. Did they check the tires pressure, I doubted.
I paid $ 44.94, less $ 10 coupon, it was still higher than others for a regular oil change.

They charge $ 50 – 60 for the synthetic oil change– over double what other places do. They said they fixed the air in my tires and the light would go off but my tire light is still on. Worse, I just took my car for a mechanical issue somewhere else (less than a week after coming here) and the mechanic told me that my oil was low and he had to top it off.

I was so amazed by the service that I have no idea if I was being jipped at all LOL. I do like that the computer they process your invoice on is faced towards you, purposely so you can see how your invoice is racking up. They weren’t pushy at all, but they did suggest some service stuff you might like. They told me my window wiper thing was ripped and coming off, and I just said I didn’t want it replaced. They were very nice and said okay, we just have to let you know anyways as protocol.
They didn’t force me into synthetic oil, which I was very happy about. They let me see my two choices and how much they cost. Overall, love the efficiency of this place. Love how it’s interactive (and maybe you won’t, but at least they tell you how much everything costs).
1 star off just because I don’t know if others would like this kind of service and also don’t want to give 5 stars until I’ve confirmed my oil change was given at a decent price.

I don’t normally write reviews on chain kinda places because it seems like no one will really read it or care about anyway but I JUST HAD TO MENTION THAT THIS PLACE HAS AWESOME SERVICE!
Got a fast oil change (sat in the car the whole time!) and the people working there were super friendly.
I got a blended synthetic oil change or something and with a found coupon it was around $ 50-​$ 55. Totally worth it in my opinion!
There are cheaper and more expensive options!

That pretty much sums up this location, the whole staff esp. Mel was very professional and they didn’t push for any unnecessary up sell. They got me in, checked the basics, finished my oil change and got me out in under 15 minutes! There is always a some sort of coupon online or if you time it right some even better deals once in a while through the emails they send out.
I live in an apartment that doesn’t have room for storage for tools nor proper space and lighting to continue to do my own oil change. This Valvoline Instant Oil Change is just what I need and would recommend their service.

Love this place! Being a girl I’m always afraid of getting ripped off or people doing a half ass job on my car trying to slip things by me! These guys are honest and ask you if you want something done before throwing charges on your bill. I always go here! Highly recommend!

No one likes going to get an oil change and I leave it to the last possible moment (usually before a smog test — sorry, car). I took my 650 here after my husband raved about how awesome this place was. How great can an oil change place be? Valvoline is fantastic! Quick in-​n-​out service. Unfortunately next to the in-​n-​out so getting in the parking lot can pose a challenge. Otherwise, up front pricing and away you go! The guys are really nice and answered all of my dumb questions without batting an eye. I guess it’s on the pricier side but my car drinks synthetic oil. Quick tip: there are always Groupon deals for this place, synthetic oil included, and it works out to be half the price.

WOW the price went up when when they took over from EZ Lube! Same price as the dealer now, I’m going to have to rethink coming here.
They will ALWAYS tell you that you need a new air filter. Unless you are off-​roading, you only need one once a year. Even a one month old filter will look dirty but it’s not really clogged. They actually told me a filter I had put in earlier that day needed to be replaced!
However, for a straight-​up oil change they are pretty fast, and that’s worth something.

This place is great! I usually go to my dealership for service. They are just as great. Fast, friendly, and efficient. Quick and easy. No appointment needed since it’s a drive thru service. Pretty cool. I also used the $ 10 off for the synthetic oil. Definitely take advantage of this deal

I recommend coming here to get you’re oil change every one is always nice and helpful I don’t mind the price as long is the service is good

Very professional, Cameron was very knowledgable. I forgot my coupon at home and he told me not to worry about it. He then gave me an additional coupon. I won’t be going anywhere else for oil services!

Excellent service, worth the price! In and out in 15 minutes, didn’t even have to get out of the car. If it’s your first time they give you a $ 10 off coupon for your second visit. Will definitely be returning in 3000 miles!

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that they’re kind of expensive.
But I’d still pay the extra money because I loved getting an oil change here. I took my dad’s car because he’s horrible with that stuff.
I love the way they yell out what they’re doing. I’m not sure if it’s to let you know they’re actually doing what you’re paying for or to inform one another, but I like it. Also, I like that you can sit in the car!
Also I think Oscar is the name of the one that was sort of running things, or at least he typed up my receipt and stuff. But anyways, like I said, my dad has been doing a bad job maintaining his car, so his power steering was really low, apparently. Oscar said they put a little in even though I said I couldn’t afford to pay to fill it up. Also, he gave an honest recommendation for my dad’s tires. He was really sweet so I’m not sure if he was being nice or if it’s policy, but little stuff like that invests in your customer lifetime value. It was enough to impress me! Hah! Now I’ll be choosing them over Jiffy Lube, Pep Boys (hate both of them), and the dealership.

Great, fast service

Its a bit pricey, not too expensive, but more pricey than the usual oil change. The service it great. The technicians are quick, professional and work as a team. They shout out at each other as if you are in a race car pitstop. Pretty cool. It took no more than 15 minutes.
I usually change oil myself, but when you’re in a hurry right before a long mile trip this place is reccomended.

Maurice is AMAZING-​his crew are equally awesome. Long story short we got our oil changed 10 minutes earlier at Handy J-don’t go there-​we had a bad feeling. We stopped at Valvoline just to have them take a look. Our oil pan was cracked and pouring out oil. Maurice went above and beyond to help us out. He guided us in the most professional manner and kept us laughing at a time of «crisis». During the time we were there we had an opportunity to observe Maurice and crew in action. They were fast, professional, and kept all the customers laughing.
I am totally devoted to coming to this particular Valvoline-​you will not be disappointed.

I came by here yesterday to have a friend’s car serviced. Little did I know that they have drive-​thru oil change! Pretty cool. And they checked all the fluids, as well as aired up the tires.
