Techno-Lock

Wow! Great people! I had two experiences with their customer service this year. First, I had an oddball lock on my house that wasn’t working properly. I took it off the door and brought it in expecting that Marcel would have to order parts, but he simply reassembled it correctly and did not charge me, even though I offered to pay for his time. Then, just this week, having noticed all of the high tech programming stuff for making a replacement car remote, I called them and spoke with his wife Angie about replacing a lost unit. Their replacement was nearly $ 100 less than the dealer wanted and could be done while I waited. I asked them to order the unit for my particular car.
As luck would have it, after being lost for 6 weeks, the old remote showed up, the day after they had ordered the replacement. I offered to pay a restocking charge, but Angie refused to charge me.

Marcel is the best. I highly recommend him. He was able to get factory codes for my worn out 1994 original Honda Civic key. While I waited to have this done, he told me a story of how this home in Pebble Beach had a stuck 100 year Spanish lock on itsmain door and no one on the Monterey Peninsula would touch it… except Marcel. The guy is world class locksmith. A treasure in our backyard.

After seeing that Techno Lock is a change in ownership from the previous owners (Dons lock and key). I was more inclined to try them out. I was without my car for over a week trying to figure out why it wouldn’t start. After figuring out it was the remote in my car key that was triggering my security system, and not starting my car, I ordered replacement keys on Amazon. After calling the dealership they said it would be over 200 dollars to program a new key, just for ONE. Marcel came to my house and programmed BOTH keys in 10 minutes for only $ 90. Life saver!!! Thank you!

Marcel has been to my business multiple times and its always a joy when he is there. Marcel will not over charge you, he will do everything to save you money. I forgot my keys in my apartment and called this company. The woman who answered was very helpful and she answered all my questions in a clear manner. The locksmith came within 10 minutes and he too was nice. He saw that the managing office was open and informed the manager that he was there to open my door.
Note: I remember reading in my apartment’s lease that if we lock ourselves out, we are on our own. I didn’t realize they meant after office hours.
At the leasing office I found out that I could get a spare key there. They did not charge me and were very nice and understanding about my situation. He did not say a word that made me feel bad about my mistakes I made that day.

We were vacationing in Monterey. My husband locked our keys in our car in a Walmart parking lot. We tried to unlock the car ourselves with a coat hanger. After 2 hours of trying. I made the call to Don’s Lock and Key. The owner arrived in 5 minutes. He had our car unlocked within 3 minutes. His services were very reasonable. He was friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this business.

I utilized Don’s Lock and Key service almost a year ago when my fiancé and I inadvertantly locked our keys in our house. I couldn’t think of any other locksmiths in the area so Don’s came to mind almost immediately. As soon as the guy opened his mouth, I regretted the decision right then and there, but I needed to get back in my place so I really didn’t care at that point.
Don wasn’t mean, he was just apathetic, nonchalant and uninterested. I paid my $ 50.00 and Don followed me to my place. After about 20 minutes of raping my doorknob, he managed to get us back inside. I was just thankful to be able to set foot back in my place, so I thanked him for that. I wish that he didn’t make it seem like a hassle for him to be doing his job, but other than that, he got things done and that’s all you can really expect in the end.
