These two vacation homes, only 35 miles from the southwestern entrance of Yosemite National Park, offer privacy, beauty, and convenience. They are situated on 7 acres of beautiful landscape in the foothills of the Sierras and are loaded with charm. They’re perfect for the private getaway or the extended family vacation. They’re both completely and comfortably furnished with luxury bedding, WiFi, free long distance, and all the comforts of home. They’re conveniently located between two entrances of Yosemite National Park, and only five miles from the welcoming host town of Mariposa. It’s a 35 mile scenic drive from these homes to the park along the Merced River Valley into the southwestern entrance. The town of Mariposa offers several historic sites to explore, fun festivals, whitewater rafting nearby, a zipline theme park, friendly people, a great Yosemite visitors center, and plenty of old west charm that will be sure to delight the whole family.

History

Established in 2011.

My husband, Tom, and I both have always loved the Yosemite area. We were fortunate to have bought these beautiful seven acres of country property, only minutes away from one of the world’s most beautiful and majestic national parks in the world. After adding our own personal touches to both of these homes, we’re proud to share them with you.

Our vacation rental business was established in December of 2011 with our first vacation rental house in Mariposa, The Overlook. It’s a 3BR 2BA house with several amenities. We have since added The Stagecoach House to our rental portfolio in Mariposa, which is situated right next door to The Overlook. The Stagecoach House is a 2BR 1 BA house with a wraparound porch, also with several amenities. This house was added in June of 2013. We now can accommodate up to 14 guests at one time between the two houses.

I grew up in and around Lake George, New York in a resort area. There I met my husband, to whom I have been married for several years. We have done some traveling around the world and have lived in New York, California, Colorado, and Arizona. I retired from AT&T in 2000 to pursue our vacation rental business in the Yosemite area, an area that we both love. My husband is a retired general contractor. We enjoy renovating old homes and we spent several years working on both of these homes in Mariposa. We’re now proud to offer them for vacation rentals for people from all over the world to come to and enjoy.
