Yosemite Inn

I booked 2 nights here for a quick Yosemite getaway with 3 others. It isn’t typically the type of place i would give 4 stars too, but given the other reviews on this place, I nada fine time here with zero problems and would stay again.
I originally booked it bc we decided at the last minute for a New Years in Yosemite, and this place has a room available with 2 queen beds for a total of $ 256 for 2 nights. Bam. Booked it. As we were driving out and getting closer, my copilot looked up the reviews and read bed bugs!!! We freaked out, tried cancelling the reservation but couldn’t bc it was already 5 hours after check in time. We tried to book elsewhere bit everything was full. We were about to make plans to sleep in the car closer to Yosemite bc we did NOT want bed bugs!
When we checked in, we asked the guy at the desk if he had resolved the bed bug issue. He went on about it being lies and said if we had a problem with the room we could cancel at no charge. So we hesitantly walked in and immediately started searching the sheets, even lifting mattresses, the place was spotless. We found absolutely nothing wrong.
We unpacked, settled in, the beds were comfy, sheets were very nice, the shower was hot. The heater fired up and the fridge was Ice cold. If you’re looking for a spectacular room with amazing views, keep looking. There is nothing spectacular about this place, but for what it is, this is as good as it gets. The price is right.
It’s located at the east end of Mariposa which is a super adorable little town. We ate breakfast at the sugar pine before our hike which was awesome! And then we had lunch there the following day after checking out. Did a little wine tasting at the place down a couple blocks. Had a pizza delivered to the room. The 4 of us really enjoyed our stay in Mariposa and we were perfectly happy with the Yosemite inn.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! BED BUGS!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! We stayed 2 nights here and on the second morning I woke up covered in bed bugs bytes!!! I went to reception to complain and ask my money back and first the man and then his wife (owners) accused me of lying and said I’m just looking to get my money back! I had the owner coming in the room and showed her the bed bugs in the bed and she still was arguing with me. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! WILL BE NEVER GOING BACK THERE!!!& i do really hope they do something about that but from the attitude received I don’t think they have any intention of doing something about it!!! Please if you find yourself around there do find other lodging!!!

There was a pretty bad fishy smell, not sure where it came from. The breakfast room is really small an quite crowded for your plain toast and cereals. Additionally he tried to cheat by charging a higher price than indicated on our reservation (done through an agency).

Am posting this from inside of my overpriced, underwhelming hotel room. Where should I start? I booked it last night which yes I understand means I shouldn’t expect miracles but damn. When it says online that wifi is included I would think that I wouldn’t have to pay an additional $ 8 for wifi. Especially when there’s no cell service! Additionally i don’t know who I talked to yesterday but they told me that Yosemite National Park is a 20 min drive from here but they straight up lied. First trip here only to find out we have another 40+ miles to get to the main attraction? 2 sad little towels in my «deluxe» room and no coffee or breakfast or anything really. My fault I guess. Next time I’ll plan better and stay at a different hotel!

Poor service. When we paid for the reservation it said that wifi was include so I go and ask for the password and he said is extra 8 dollars for everyone who needs the wifi password is yose6800. Don’t let this guy take your money. This hotel is not good one one damn towell for 2 adults. When we called they they told us they were 10 min away from the yosemite national park they were lying, it’s 36 miles away. 59 min away from the park. So sad but this is why I’m taking. 5 min to write this review. I drove 3 hours from San Francisco to find out that I had to drive another hour to get to the yosemite national park plus another hour to come back to the nasty hotel dirty hotel. 4 hours drive turn one into a 5 ½ hour drive because of this sucky hotel .
DO NOT STAY HERE. SWIMMING POOL THAT’S BULLSHYT THEY DON’T EVEN LET YOU GET ON THE SWIMMING POOL. NO TOILET PAPER EITHER
189 DOLLARS FOR NOTHING.
AND ALSO THE FRIDGE DOESN’T WORK. IS OFF

No coffee maker in the room… $ 8 a day for internet & cell reception is non existent. there is nowhere near enough parking… air conditioner sounds like a locomotive and doesn’t work nearly as well as it should … Hotels was NOT very accommodating. They do not answer the main phone and if you try to let someone call you in your room good luck because the staff has no idea how to use the phone system — unless it’s time for you to check out at which point they will blow your phone up — even if they’ve made a mistake and it’s not actually time for you to check out… the shower would be well suited for someone 4 foot 8 inches or shorter. If you hang thavee do not disturb on your door hotel will REFUSE TO ALLOW ANYONE TO CALL YOUR ROOM! Showerhead is way too low. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, at any time, for any reason.

This was perhaps my worst hotel experience ever. One word… BEDBUGS.
I went to sleep, and woke up covered with bites.
I actually saw one of the bugs.
The whole experience was terrible.
We booked 10 days. for our Yosemite trip (which was FANTASTIC — aside from this hotel).
Checking in. we wanted to pay cash. He took our cash, but could not give us a receipt. said he didn’t know how to print a cash receipt. OK.
Got to the room. found out after about an hour that the fridge was not turned on. Had to have an employee come and do that.
Tried to watch TV. Couldn’t figure it out… neither could employee #1, or #2, or #3. Finally called some guy, who said, you look at this guide, select the station you want to watch (CBS, NBC etc), and input that number. No scrolling through the channels. WHAT??? After 1 day, the TV just stopped working. the guy had to replace the batteries in the remote.
First night, woke up to go to the bathroom to be greeted by bugs on the sink.
Air conditioner sounded like someone was running a vacuum cleaner. We had to turn it on for a while and then off to get to sleep.
The hot tub. First night. would not turn on. Found out you have to go to the office and ask the staff to turn it on. We did… and then it turned off in about 15 minutes. Had to go to the office and ask again. He turned it on again, and this time it stayed on, but it did not get very hot. sort of like tepid bath water.
I’m not sure why we stayed the whole 10 days. probably because its so hard to book lodging in this area, except way ahead of time. but I ended up sleeping with my whole body covered, because I was seriously COVERED with bed bug bites. This place is awful. The outside is junky looking. The only good thing is… it is a good location for going to YOsemite. 45 minutes to the valley floor. It was one of the less expensive places, and it is within walking distance to the little village of Mariposa. I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE.

You have to give at least one star to post. Too bad. This place is a dump. In today’s market, given the quality level of this place, it should be $ 29 a night. Not the $ 199 we paid on a spur of the moment decision we made to visit Yosemite on the 4^th of July weekend. Should have known better, I know, and my expectations were pretty low really (I can slum it when I have to!) This fell below them. By the way, ’30 mi from Yosemite’ means at least an hour drive from the Village area of the park.

Noisy vent in bathroom and noisy heater under window. Spotty Wifi that kept crapping out. The hot tub was broken. The place is littered with cheap chairs. The town shuts down early so I decided to watch a race on TV but they don’t get that channel. It was not a value. A letdown.

Had to book it in a pinch. Cleaner rooms and towels. $ 140 plus $ 8 bucks for Internet that was pretty sad. Had a freak out moment when I thought I killed a bed bug but it was most likely a tick. Even better, right? Live and learn. Book ahead, and most likely not here.

i did not have any expectation about this inn because i booked in the last min for yosemite national park.
but i was surprised to see the room after checked in.
enough space, small refrigerator and looked clean too
price was not expensive and enjoyed to stay 2 nights
but air conditioner sounded do loud. that’s why i took one star off.
breakfast included coffee, bread, cereal​.etc​.it was enough for me
I did not feel too full before going to yosemite hiking.

Room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast included. The most I like about this motel is a very nice man from the reception. The night was quite cold so the next day we couldn’t start our car. The man from the reception let us use motel’s phone to call the help and finally he helped us start the engine.
Next year I’m going to stay at the Yosemite Inn once again.

Excellent value for the price. Rooms are big. Our bathroom had been updated. Very clean. Beware pool is tiny. Free Wi-​Fi. We had forgotten a camera in the room, the owner of the inn found it and overnighted it to our home.

Ok… when you’re desperate… you just have to suck it up. That’s exactly what the S.O. and I did.
We need a place to stay to survive a rafting trip as well as Yosemite… done.
From the outside… it is really creepy. The parking lot is small and the spaces are tight. S.O. checked in and he came out with a remote that’s wrapped in saran wrap… no joke!
We walked in… surprisingly the room had a flat screen TV that’s wall mounted so it can be viewed in different angles. But that’s about the only good thing about this place…
Bathroom: the toilet is freaking tall! My feet hangs like I’m twelve all over again! The shower head is for kids! S.O. and I aren’t tall but we had to bow to make use of the shower!
There is no hangers! None! So when you’re down showering… where do you hang your towel to be «eco» friendly… by the shower rod and that metal atop the toilet.
The AC kept breaking in and out… it was pissy.
And yes… it’s not cheap… it was pricey!
Honestly, we know that it wasn’t the Ritz but for the price that we paid, hangers would at least be nice?
We passed by Super 8 and we were sad… it was that BAD.

DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT STAYING HERE!
a) Could hardly sleep… our necks and backs are aching from the mattresses.
b) A/​C didn’t work
c) No breakfast. No coffee. Nothing. Not even instant coffee in the room.
d) Had to reschedule, since death in the family… which caused an argument. No refund offered.
e) And it’s not like this place is super cheap or anything!

The hotel management is fine, friendly people.
The only concerns were that the rooms smell bad, maybe its because the AC was turned off, not sure! Also, its an older establishment so I guess it needs renovation. The breakfast on a weekend was real basic, hardly any choices. So, overall I feel the price for a night stay was high compared to the amenites offered. Could improve.
