Illinois Vehicle Emissions Testing Station

Yes I waited until the last day of the month to get my car tested so I did expect lines. What I didn’t expect was a 2 hour and 15 minute wait (line to enter facility started at 167^th and Pulaski and continued all the way north to the facility).
The service was fast and smooth. The Markham police were around to guide traffic and rerouted those who cut the line on Pulaski. To increase efficiencies, once inside the facility area, an employee guided each car to the appropriate line. The employee who ran the test was polite and fast. The test itself too 2 minutes.
I was disappointed though, to see the wait time printed on my receipt said 18 minutes (which probably only counts the time you entered the facility area (driveway) plus test instead of the god awful line coming into the facility (which was actually 2 hours and 15 minutes). Because of this, the state now has alarmingly inaccurate data. That’s why I submitted a rate so low.

Clean facility, fast service. what more do you need? In N Out in 5 minutes even with a line. did the last guy just give it 3 stars just based on the fact that his truck didn’t pass cause mine just did! even if it didn’t so I would still give it 5 stars, not the facilities fault that your truck has a check engine light on.

Well I know that nobody likes going to these damn tests but unfortunately they are necessary if you want your vehicle to remain compliant.
This site is conveniently located around the corner from the I-​57 (Bishop Ford Freeway), 159^th St. Exit. Bascially 159^th St. and Pulaski, in Markham.
I arrived around 3p.m. and the place was empty. no lines. no wait. I was hooked up to the machine immediately and done in a matter of minutes.

Unfortunately my truck didn’t pass this time around due to me having repaired my exhaust the same day.
Overall experience was good for what it is.
