History

Established in 2000.

Shop was opened in 2000 by Tom Gottardo who at that time had 17 years in the industry. After only 6 years we expanded into our current 8,000 square foot facility at the same location. Our technicians all have a minimum of 10 years and as much as 30 years experience in the industry.

I have been in the industry since 1997. I ran a shop in the city of Chicago from 1997 – 2006. I was an Insurance appraiser from 2006 – 2009. And have been shop manager at Tom’s Collision Clinic since 2009. I enjoy working for an establishment that truly cares about there customers.

I had to go here after a collision with a Safeway driver (my auto body shop of choice was too expensive for Safeway). I was pleasantly surprised. The lady in the office, Brandy, was a rockstar! She was very friendly and made the whole process a breeze. I thought it was nice that they gave me a small bottle of paint for touch-​ups. I also enjoyed the Grinch guy hanging out in the green Corvette behind the desk. I’m definitely going to keep this shop in mind for if I ever need work done in the future.
Lost one star: I noticed a flaw in the paint on my side mirror that I definitely cannot fix with the complimentary touch-​up paint they gave me (its a big blob of paint), but I’m not all that bothered by it really; I’m just happy to have my car looking like it did before the collision.

When you are in an accident for the first time you may be nervous about many things, but the one thing you will never have to worry about is the level of support, confidence and quality you will get taking your vehicle to Tom’s.
We have trusted Tom to take good care of us since he opened his shop. We have also sent many friends to him and not one was ever let down. Both of my trucks looked better then the day I bought it after he was done.
If you have an older collector car, he does restorations too. Ask to see his awards from the car shows he has entered.
The reason he does such a good job? Because he’s an honest perfectionist and can’t allow a car to leave his shop untill it’s done just right.
