Description

Specialties

We produce natural wines made without the use of pumps and filters and without any chemical modification. We neither remove nor add anything to the wine. The wines taste of only the natural processes which produce wine and there is no flavor that is derived from an artificial source such as oak flavor, acidity adjustments, filtration, sulfite additions or sugar additions just to name a few. The idea is that the wines truly taste like the vineyard fermented and aged which produces a complex and easy drinking product. This method of winemaking is common in Europe but very rare indeed in North America. They are true «country wines» of America.

History

Established in 2003.

Vineyards have been continuously planted here since the 1790’s

The Morano winery operated on this farm from 1902 – 1920, and closed due to Prohibition.

There was a bootleg distillery here from the late 1930’s through 1956.

We planted vines beginning in 2001 and built the new winery and distillery on the foundation of the 1902 winery and bootleg distillery in 2005.
