ABRN Development Corp

So ABRN Development are the property managers for 231 Main St., Rutland Ma from which we are renting out our small apartment. It ’ s been by far one of the worst experiences I have been through as the property manager here has stopped responding to requests of fixing things and I have made several complaints about the neighbors upstairs of harassment and peeping tom. I have also filed a police report as well. Nothing has been done to improve our living situation here. The Neighbors upstairs are doing everything possible to force us to leave and I feel it’s not the first time they have done this. My husband and I are respectful people and try to live our life but the property manager continues to do nothing about it. In addition he has lied to us as well. Our next recourse will be with the town inspector or Board of Health as the living conditions here worsen as the neighbors continue to wreak havoc in our apartment. Please DO NOT RENT or BUY from this company as they send people who cannot fix things and they have no mediation skills to cope with talking to people.

I highly recommend ABRN for any renovation/​construction work, big or small! Richard and Alicia are truly wonderful people who care as much about the project as the homeowner, which is a rare quality in this industry. They are not happy unless the client is happy. We initially hired them for a small exterior project that grew into a much larger renovation project, and they didn’t miss a beat. They were not only flexible about the increased scope but excited to take on the challenge of the much larger project that involved redoing everything on the exterior.
Both Richard and Alicia were hands-​on and stayed involved throughout the process. They care about the quality of the work and ensure everything is done just right. Alicia worked endlessly to match the stain color for three different species of wood and to custom match the paint color for the shingles. Even when I was ready to give up, she couldn’t be deterred. She knew the importance of getting the colors just right to provide a consistent look for the entire exterior. In addition to being a steady presence on-​site, Richard on his own initiative took on the tedious job of selecting each stone for color and placement for the masonry work because he wanted the end result to match our vision.
We are extremely happy with the end result, which exceeded our expectations, and genuinely enjoyed working with Richard and Alicia and their team. They stand by their work and handle any unexpected challenges with a positive attitude and a high degree of professionalism. I also was impressed by their subs, who were respectful, polite and took such pride in their work – again, rare qualities in this industry.

We waited 6 weeks to have ABRN Development come look at our kitchen remodel project. We were told they would not be able to begin work until spring 2016 but since we were not in a hurry we agreed to meet on Saturday morning. We recieved an email at 6:30pm the night before to tell us they had to cancel. Seriously, they couldn’t have known prior to the night before that they couldn’t make it? They emailed instead of doing us the courtesy of a phone call and no offer to come another time. Totally unprofessional and took the cowards way out. Stay away from contractors that don’t keep their word.

I called looking for an estimate for siding to be completed on a 3 family. When I spoke with the receptionist, she told me that they were pretty booked up and asked if the wait was an issue. I told her it was not. She proceeded to put me on hold in order to get me an estimate over the phone. When she returned, she informed me that they were not interested in providing me with an estimate since they were booked with work through the fall.
Overall, this is just poor business acumen and left a terrible impression. I will take them off my call list of contractors to call when work is needed on other properties in the future. So, do yourself a favor, and don’t bother calling because they «are booked through the fall».

We initially hired ABRN to add a farmers porch to our home. I spoke to about 6 contractors before hiring ABRN and Rich and Alicia really won me over with their customer centric approach and their passion to make our project a success.
They did an awesome job on the farmers porch. Always communicating, always making sure things went smoothly and very flexible when we want to make any changes to the original design
We have since hired them to replace all our windows, siding and outside trim along with a remodel of our dining room
If you are looking for a contractor that does great work, has unbelievable customer Services and is very trustworthy then the team at ABRN should be on your short list of contractors to hire.

I highly recommend ABRN. They are a really good construction company. I had them insulate my mudroom, while we occupied the house. The workers were super respectful of the home. They showed up when they said and completed the work as scheduled. No bs no surprises. From quote to completion, Alicia and Rick were very responsive, straighforward, and professional. Rick really knows what he is doing construction wise and Alicia handles the paperwork and client facing. The whole process was very seamless and easy. It’s really hard to find a good general contractor, these guys are the real deal.

I heartily recommend ABRN Development Corp in the highest possible terms. They recently completed a major addition to our house and they did a superb job. They listened well at the outset, came in with a competitive bid, and then proceeded to get the job done professionally and with excellent quality. Alicia does the client liaison, and ensures that there are no surprises — remarkable enough in itself. Richard is the on-​the-​job presence, and he is unflappable, courteous, and always concerned about the welfare of the client. Together they make a great team to work with. Several things I particularly appreciated: good communications, from Alicia; attention to detail and completion, from the whole team; and customer focus — again, from everyone. If you plan to have work done on your home, or your worksite, this is the team that you should work with.

In the process of doing a kitchen addition and first-​floor remodeling to my house, before I started working with Alicia and Richard Nardo (the owners of ABRN Development Corporation), I’d been burned by several contractors.
With these other contractors, it always seemed like there was something: Unexpected cost overruns, delays in construction, some «subcontractor» who wasn’t doing their job. Our dream kitchen and remodeling became a nightmare until I heard from a friend about the great experience they had with Alicia and Richard and ABRN Development Corporation.
First of all, Alicia and Richard met with me and my wife personally. They listened sympathetically to our tale of woe (clearly one they’d heard many times before) and took us step-​by-​step through our plans for our new kitchen and remodeling. They asked a lot of questions. At the end of our introductory meeting I really felt like they understood not just the frustrations we’d already endured, but also shared our vision for our plans.
Within a week, Alicia produced a detailed cost estimate that addressed every item I’d outlined in our initial meeting – and many I hadn’t. She produced a equally comprehensive timeline and schedule of work, to which she, Richard, and all of their subcontractors scrupulously adhered.
I especially liked how Richard kept the construction area clean throughout the remodeling, decreasing significantly the general inconvenience of having our house under construction. My wife was so happy that Alicia went with her to the various stores to help pick out «just the right» tile, countertops, and paint.
With Alicia and Richard in charge, everything got done on time, on budget, and to specifications. No more problems, no more arguments with developers, no more nickel-​and-​diming.
Now that the remodeling is done and we’re cooking in our dream kitchen, we look back fondly and gratefully on our experience with Alicia, Richard, and ABRN Development Corporation. I HIGHLY recommend them.
