David was patient, informative, and proved to be trustworthy and reliable! That is not the everyday experience when working with a dealership that sells used vehicles! This group of professionals personifies the words «customer service»! From my salesman Chris to the manager, Perkins, their compassion for THIS elderly, disabled buyer was limitless. The purchase of a vehicle is complicated at best, but due to interminable wrangling with my credit union and insurance company rewrites, my experience had become a nightmare. Enter Chris and Perkins who unraveled the confusion for me, assisted me with financing and even dealt with the insurance company! I feel as if I had made some new friends at AutoMax Preowned and would recommend them HIGHLY to anyone! Love my «new» Mariner!!! Everyone thinks it’s a brand new car!

1st off I didn’t buy a car today, nor was I planning on it but I did stop by to check out their inventory as I’m thinking of trading up. It’s also been a long time since I shopped a used car lot rather than a dealership. On the up side they have a LOT of nice looking high end cars.
Unfortunately, after about 20 minutes there that’s all I could tell you! There is no information available on the car except the year. if you need more than that, good luck! You need to go inside & find a salesperson willing to talk to you or look on-​line. I walked through the lot for a while then through the office but 2 of the salesmen were busy with customers & the rest seemed to be very concerned with the build up of lint or something on their work surfaces, no-​one even acknowledged me.
Back in my office I found the car I was interested in on their website & it’s at a great price but I also found the reviews on here & between them & my own experience I’ll think long & hard before returning.

I totaled my car just before Christmas and needed a replacement ASAP. Frank found my dream car in minutes. My mechanic was blown away by how little they were asking for it– way below what Carfax or KBB valued it at. Fixed the minor dings, had a spare key made, and installed a remote start in just a couple of days. I never imagined such a fast, easy, and pleasant car buying process was possible! We’ll be back for all our future cars.

I cannot yet speak to the true quality of the vehicle as it is far too soon. However, I did visit several used car dealers over the last several weeks. I came to Automax because there was a specific car I wanted to see. However, I ended up with a different car. I feel the price was right. What really made me decide to buy there was that the Manager, Bob, took the time to try and get me approved with a good rate and more favorable terms. The sales guys were ok. It is clear that they are volume dealers and on a Saturday there is clearly not enough help. However, I would return to Automax and feel I got a fair deal.

If I could give it negative 100 stars i would. Absolutely the WORST buying experience I have ever had and will ever have since I won’t make the same mistake again. Both the Marlboro and Framingham locations are cutthroat and deceitful. They don’t work together they steal business from each other then mess up the whole experience for the consumer. Al in Marlborough doesn’t return calls and sure as hell doesn’t know how to do math stay as far away from them as you can. We were approved by the bank already and had looked at the vehicle that was approved. We were told by the Marlboro location that they could get us a better trade in value for my car than what was offered at the Framingham location. We went with it because they PROMISED they could get that same application that we were approved for and get us the the car the same day. We didn’t get a call back from the Framingham office for two days so we went with it trusting that Marlboro would do their job. BIG MISTAKE!!! They pissed off the bank and pissed off the Framingham location and neither office called us back. We called both locations over 15xxx and they didn’t return any of our calls. We had to go down to the Marlboro office to face them to find out how sleezy and dishonest they are and how they DONT care about any of their clients. STAY far away from automax do not work with mike or al in financing because they both have personal issues obviously and if two people in finance working for the same company can’t be honest then they can’t be honest to the client. I will NEVER refer business to them I will NEVER look at one of their cars that have all been in an accident and I will NEVER speak positive of them!!! Very childish what they did and so dishonest I can’t believe they can sleep at night. Hope this review at least saves a couple people from getting their feelings hurt.

This place is extremely shady. Took a deposit from a family member and took a week to get it back. When we called the Finance Manager lied and told us that it had been
processed and it wasn’t. In talking to him again about it he was very mouthy, rude
and disrespectful. Stay away from this place!

Used car shopping is like going to a strip club. You never leave satisfied, and even worse you feel violated a day later…
They are a «no haggle» car dealer, so don’t expect to work them down to a lower price. Their cars are «priced below blue book», but don’t ask them to give you blue book for your trade… That’s when it’s all about the auction price…
Yes, I bought a car, but only because I was desperate. My muffler was getting ready to go, I needed new tires, and the check engine light was constantly on. I guess used car buying/​selling is more about who can do a better job screwing the other and still be able to sleep at night.
