History

Established in 2009.

Brightstar Solar was founded in 2009 by Jonathan and Mona Reese. Our vision was to provide a service with meaningful and tangible benefits for our customers, our environment, and our country through the deployment of renewable solar power generation. With only a couple years in the industry, Brightstar Solar ranked in the top 15 installers in the state for residential and small commercial solar installations in 2011.

Meet the Business Owner

Jonathan R.

Business Owner

Jonathan Reese is the president and owner of Brightstar Solar. His responsibilities include system design, construction supervision, and overall company management. Jonathan is a NABCEP Certified PV Installer and has completed advanced photovoltaic coursework at Solar Energy International in Colorado. Jonathan earned an MBA from Babson College, where he was an Olin Fellow, and holds an undergraduate business degree from Boston College. Prior to working in the renewable energy industry, Jonathan held progressive financial and operations management roles in the manufacturing, advertising, and banking industries.
