I made a pit stop here on my way north. It’s located on a pad in a shopping center lot just a few doors down from the Embassy Suites( Unilocal map and GPS were both wrong– Starbucks app was right). The cappuccinos were order were well made. Service was polite and fast. When we arrived around noon the trash was overflowing from the milk and sugar bar trash receptacle. The two pieces of pound cake we ordered were both stale and the raspberry pound cake tasted like cough syrup. Seating area is large and comfortable. Go for the coffee and not for the food.

Lunch rush today. 2 staff members behind the counter doing inventory, one sitting on the floor oblivious there was a line out the door. The other counting cash at the food cabinet(gross). Clearly there needs to be some prioritization as to what needs to be done. open another register, take the money out back and sort it. keep it from the food. Not the first time i’ve seen this happen at this store. #gross

The last 3 times I’ve been my order has somehow gotten messed up and I get the same thing every time and it’s not even some elaborate Starbucks order. It’s a tall caramel iced latte! That’s it! There has also been a long wait when there really shouldn’t be. I’ll probably just go the extra few miles to the other marlboro location

I go here frequently, and lately service has been very slow during the morning rush. The employees are taking their time and chatting with each other while the line is almost out the door.

What a difference a mile makes. One mile is approximately the distance from this piss poor location to the Bolton Street Starbucks which has far superior service. It’s my own fault for giving these people another chance. I have encountered two separate employees who make me want to vomit on their faces. Dramatic? Probably. I’ll give the thought as much care and consideration as this Starbucks locations employees give their customers… Very little. One visit they got my coffee wrong and the next tasted awful. I stood at the register upon arrival while a self important manboy was cleaning up his station. From one side of the prep space to the other he walked. Then back. Then over again. Walking past me each time while I stood smiling… Trying to make eye contact. No, «I’ll be with you in just a moment» no «sorry for the wait» no acknowledgement. It’s rude not to acknowledge a customer. It’s rude to simply ignore them. A very quick and simple«be there in a minute» would be enough for anyone. And it would have been more than enough for me. Control issues much? You’re a barista. Calm down. I left with my two children, both under 3, and an employee coming in to work couldn’t possibly let me out the door before he squeeze his body past me and almost knocking over my child. One hand in his pocket. I was clearly the first one at the door and I held the door for my son to go out first((little legs and all)) as I balanced a coffee and an infant in my arms. Just came walking through, not in a hurry as if he were late for work — just being a class A dick. I’m not asking for chivalry — just common decency. I’m suprised with all the complaints about rude employees and slow service there hasn’t been a change. If the Coffee Loft on Lincoln St is open when you need your daily grind — go there. Otherwise, Bolton Street Starbucks will treat you right.

I have been going here for years and it never disappoints. The coffee and food products have been fresh. Today I brought a friend here and they agree it is very well run. I like the hot cocoa.

While I love Starbucks because they product is consistent and caffeinated. This store is the slowest I have ever been into. Every time you wait 8 – 9 minutes to get to the counter to order, and another 5 for your order. It is however always right. Thankfully, they take long enough to make it.

The Starbucks coffee are always good, needless to say. But the staff here are very friendly and cheerful which doesn’t happen in many other Starbucks places.

This place is always clean, staff super friendly and if you come just after rush hour, you can find a comfy seat. Most importantly, they always get my drink right. That is all I ask for!

I can’t believe I have to write this ad from Cambridge, MA however my family lives in Marlboro and I write to review their Manager. The Staff at this location is incredible(4⁄5 stars), but their Manager has earned one star. My Mother enjoys a cup of Decaf in the morning. She’s an early bird. There’s also a community of early retired walkers who are patrons. The Store Manager has recently decided to stop selling DECAF at the opening hour to discourage these patrons from coming which I find petty and discriminatory. Decaf coffee is still coffee. Marlboro Starbucks is a publicly traded company, not a private club where a Manager thinks they can make these decision without having effects on the community they do business in and the customers they serve.

The management change has made a huge difference! Staff is friendlier & the store seems to be operating like the other Starbucks locations. I’d love to see more coffee sampling. I really wish Starbucks would use local bakeries for better product, but I’ll have to keep dreaming about that. Drinks are good. My order is usually accurate & I don’t have to wait long. It’s a sunny location right on my way to work. I really can’t complain!

This is a very busy, loud Starbucks with the same poor seating scheme as other Starbucks in the area. Starbucks seems to have forgotten what made them popular to begin with and that was a comfortable living room type atmosphere.

One of my favorite places to go. Never had to wait longer than 5 minutes. I always get a Venti ice coffee unsweented. Plus, it close to my grandma’s place.

The real issue is the temperature of this location. It’s freezing! It is not a good spot if you are looking to stay and hang out. During the winter they try to save money by keeping the heat low. You know it’s bad when the customers need to leave on their heavy winter coats if they stay for more than 5 minutes.(Go by and you can see this for yourself.) Given what Starbucks charges, you would think they could provide adequate heating. No such luck… Service depends on who you get. Some are friendly, but only if you are a regular. After going for several months I have finally broken through and get decent treatment. Still, several workers are quite surly.

I absolutely love this Starbucks, but yet again I love them all. They’re always so pleasant even when rushed. They always get the order correct and remember who I am which makes me feel special. The store is clean and always has the proper displays up, because I always ask about the specials. So when you need coffee or tea stop in for a fresh cup. The only downside is the people who come in treat the staff like commoners.

Listen, you have to compare Starbucks to Starbucks and in this case, local Starbucks to Starbucks. The Bolton Street location does a better job at making exactly what I ask for and doing it quickly and with a smile. And for hot coffee and tea, the was very close to a superior local competitor so I’ll go there. Still, when I need a Frappucino fix near the office, this is the Stabucks. They do a good job here, really. They’re A-OK.

There is a new barista(I think I overheard him saying he’s only been there for 10 days) who is fantastic and engaging. What a great addition to their crew. There’s also a sweet woman that works that that had glasses on and blondish hair(great color by the way) who is always nice and a shorter man with short hair(or bald) who always seems to have a lot of energy. I like this Starbucks because of those three. There is another girl(younger, with blonde hair and glasses) who seems like she never wants to be there. She is the only negative.

I’ve been to Starbuck’s all over the US and this site wins the award for the most unfriendly staff! During my 5 days in Marlborough I hit this Starbucks several times each day. No matter who was working I was amazed, almost amused, at how unfriendly they were. I even started going overboard with the kindness and zip! Nothing back. The drinks were fine and the place was always clean. Oh and FYI… Don’t tell me I can’t order a Grande Americano in a tall cup! I do it all the time. I know it’s cheaper than a Triple Tall Americano!
