The Home Depot van rental was a life-​saver for an unexpected furniture purchase on Craigslist. It was much cheaper than renting one of the U-​Haul options and the process was fast and easy!

Messed up every order I ever placed… ever. A nightmare. Avoid at all costs!

Terrible customer service with their warehouse. My washer dryer was on back order for two months. I had scheduled a day during the week, taking time off of work to have my order delivered. Due to inclement weather the delivery was cancelled with no option to reschedule on a weekend when they deliver on Saturdays. Now I have to take another day off of work in order to have my appliances delivered. All of this while receiving extremely rude customer service from a woman named Laurie who would not let me speak with her supervisor. I will never purchase an appliance from them with this lack of customer service ever again!!!

I’ve been in this home depot for the first time yesterday. Everybody there is very friendly and most helpful! Even though I have another home depot closer to my home, this will be my store from now on!

I was VERY impressed with the service I received today at the Marlborough Home Depot. I was returning a defective grill, and I expected a hassle. Not only did the manager Adam accommodate my needs, but he arranged for an exchange for a more expensive grill (for the same price) and for it to be assembled and delivered the next day! Katee (at the service desk) was thorough in handling the whole process.

Website said they had in stock the item I needed, called to confirm, got here and was told to go to Natick and that they no longer carry the product. Instead of apologizing they said «it’s a nice day for a drive!» No. Not when I’m doing a project and don’t live anywhere near Natick. Instead I’ll be shopping elsewhere.

I went here on a late Tuesday morning. The place was empty. All I needed was one key made, and price out some cedar 2×6 boards for a spring project I plan on working on. I waited by the key maker for a few minutes and no one came over. I asked if anyone had availability to make keys, and a nice woman called someone over. That someone was an old disgruntled man who didn’t say a word. He took my key, made a copy, and that was it. No, ‘Hello’ or ‘How many would you like’ or ‘Here you go’. Nothing. He apparently hated me. or his job. or his life. Nonetheless, it showed.
I then walk over to the lumber dept. and stare aimlessly at the copious amounts of wood and lumber, not knowing where the cedar boards were located. Two associates walked right by me, as I purposely did not say ‘excuse me, can you help me.’. With patrons being outnumbered by store employees 5:1, I would have thought at least one associate would have noticed that I was lost and needed some help.
I wish I could «work» at this Home Depot. You apparently don’t have to do anything when you’re working the floors. Remember this: you’re working in retail where customer satisfaction is the quintessential priority. I’m going to Lowe’s next time which is equidistant from my work.

Always helpful staff store is always clean and neat seem to have everything I am always looking for and sways guide me to the correct isle so my shopping spree is quick and simple in and out

We practically live at this Home Depot. The selection us great, it’s rare that we can’t find what we need. If they don’t have it, it can be special ordered.
Service is hit or miss. Sometimes associates will ask if you need help. Other times they seem to just wander around aimlessly. Sometimes you really have to search for somebody which is no small feat in a huge store. Typically they are helpful. Their kitchen design services people are fantastic. We needed new countertops and Susan was very helpful, knowledgeable, and even helped give us some other design pointers for giving our kitchen the wow factor. I loved working with her. The process was easy too, no issues at all with the installation and from in store consultation to installation, I was contacted regularly about my order and all questions were answered promptly and professionally.
We also purchased our flooring here. On the Home Depot end all went well. They answered all of our questions and communication was great. We did not have them install the flooring since my husband wanted to do it and the contractor they used did not have a great track record.
They also did our A/​C. The price was slightly higher than 2 out of 4 of our estimates, but they gave us several options at various price points, we simply chose the more expensive option. And they could install the next day. There was a 2 – 3 week wait with the other contractors we consulted.
We’re very happy with this location and all of the work they’ve done for us.

I went to HD to get estimate on a stockade fence and was quoted 2300.00−2500.00 for the job. I’ve had four estimates from individual companies that specialized in fence installation and they quoted me 1000.00−1300.00 for the same job. That’s almost ½ the price! Is it because HD is getting ¹⁄₃ of the profit? All they do is talk on the phone and push pencils while the hard working contractors only get a portion just because of the name Home Depot? Why the price gouging? I do not recommend getting anything done by Home Depot unless you get 3 other estimates. Their prices are above what the economy for many allows.

I went back to this store this past weekend, a year after my very negative experience which I wrote about here. I thought I owed it to the store to post an update since their management was so responsive to me last year.
I had a MUUUUCH better experience this time. I was welcomed by a friendly older gentleman. When I explained I was bringing in my own shelf to match it with merchandise there and buy another, he helpfully escorted me to the aisle I needed and handed me off personally to another helpful gentleman and explained about the shelf I was carrying and what I needed. The second man gave me his undivided attention, cut my shelf, and helped me pack various items into my cart.
The aisle in question from last time was completely clear. The store was well staffed and cleaner than last time.
I should also mention that I was contacted by both corporate and local management after my last comment and they definitely took my negative experience seriously. I was impressed.
Good job, Home Depot. You fixed the problem and now I can happily recommend you again.

The Marlborough Home Depot is by far the best Home Depot I have ever been to. I realize it may be somewhat silly to be so excited about a home improvement store but this store has the best employees. So helpful and kind. We are on first name basis with more than one employee! If ever they didn’t have what we were looking for, and that’s rare, they happily sent us to the right place.

I got a prompt response from home depot regarding my issues on the maytag refrig. we bought there. I am very satisfied with the outcome and have changed my ratings accordingly

I’ve been to this Home Depot 3 times… in one day.
They have pretty much everything that your need and are easy to get to (helpful if you forget a drill bit or extension cord).
I bought a drill here and it turned out to be pretty crappy, they exchanged it even though I had used it.
They don’t get 5 stars because a portion of the floor staff are pretty apathetic and/​or hard to find.

can i give no stars? seriously, Bought a refridgerator from them, nothing but a hassle and a headache.. ontop of them selling it to me the wrong way wrong so they thought I had allready taken it when I sent my husband for pick up he had to wait an hour wall they had loss control check out the situation. I guess they dont keep inventory.
. I had to call back and then bring my reciept back to get the discount they had forgetten to take off the bill. never going there for a major apliance again.

Three stars, plus the fourth for the elderly african american guy who helped me load my SUV with bricks, and even offered to take me on a ride around the parking lot in my new wheel barrow.
There weren’t very many staff in the garden department, but they were nice when I did speak to them. I bought like, 150 bricks. And a wheelbarrow.

The staff is pretty friendly. Sometimes, you will receive greetings as you walk down aisles. I never gotten any questions unanswered here when I stop a staff.
This location seems to be well stocked. At least I never ran into a situation where an item I was looking for was out of stock.

You can order light fixtures they don’t stock! They have all of these catalogs, don’t fear if you don’t see what you want!
Besides that, it’s exactly what you would expect.

Any questions /​concerns on home improvement, fixing something; run to HomeDepot; they have all the suggestions. Very friendly & helpful staff at HomeDepot.

Okay. so it’s time to give a shout out the the Marlborough Home Depot. I’d give them five stars, except for three times when I went looking for things and NO ONE could help me.
1. I have a barn or gate style door to my bathroom and it needs a new latch. well, the latch is fine but the little metal half circle the latch falls into is missing. Home Depot couldn’t help.
2. I want to hang something on the outside wall of my house in my porch. I know they make little hooks that clip into your siding because I’ve found them online (but the shipping it as much as the hooks so I tried Home Depot). They thought I was nuts.
3. I don’t remember what the third thing is anymore, but, damn it, I know there’s a third thing…
Now for the good.
The staff here, for the most part, is very friendly and knowledgeable. Especially a guy named Jim the works in wood (yeah, I know how that sounds). I know him by name and I always see him grimace when he sees me in the store because he knows I need help with something… but he smiles and helps and that is good. But it’s not just Jim… I think in the whole place I’ve only come across one guy that wasn’t über friendly and helpful.
Also, they have a good Oops paint selection. I am not committed to the exact colors I paint my walls as long as it’s close… so paying $ 5 instead of $ 20 is just plain delightful.
