The Plum Tomato specializes in hand-​tossed Italian pizza. We make our own dough and sauce daily and shred our own cheese. Your pizza is baked in a stone-​lined oven not in a pan, and never in a conveyor. We also make our own marinara sauce from a decades old North End recipe… it’s delicious. Our chicken parmesan is a best seller. Hand pounded and hand breaded chicken tenderloin served with our marinara and mozzarella… yumm!

David opened The Plum Tomato in July of 2014 in the space formerly occupied by Bruno’s Pizzeria. This is David’s 3rd restaurant venture having owned/​operated a bagel shop/​deli in CT and a bakery café in Acton, MA. He lives with his wife and two children in Acton and is an avid Boston sports fan.

David, there are 2 errors which are causing you to site my review as illegitimate. First the order was called in, not ordered through Eat24. Second the order was placed the same day as the review was made, not 2 months prior, which is no where on the review. You have the right to flag a negative review with Unilocal the same way I have the right to express my opinion and disappointment. As supporters of local businesses, we tried your restaurant a few times even though we were deterred by neighbors when we moved to the area asking for good pizza shop recommendations, and were disappointed 4 out of 5 times. While I appreciate the offer to attempt to satisfy an unhappy customer, as I stated before we will be taking our business elsewhere.

Love love love he pizza from this place. I was so excited to try east coast pizza when I got here. I just moved here from California recently, and really the only comparisons i have are the chains. This place blows all of them away. I am so happy to have found my pizza place here in Marlboro. Now, when my critical family comes to visit, I’ll have a great pizza option for them that they can’t criticize too harshly.

After seeing all these positives reviews, I decided to give this place a shot. I ordered cheese ravioli’s for delivery at 6:30pm, they food didn’t get to my location till 7:30pm. I should have known it was downhill from there. The food was, can I even say lukewarm? It was tasteless and bland. Very dissapointing after seeing all those positive reviews. For now I will give it 2 stars because everyone has a bad day.

Really delicious pizza. Thin crust, a little crisp but chewy. Lots of toppings and not greasy at all. The owner is super friendly and nice. There was a slight problem with my order and he went overboard to not only correct it, but added in a free small pizza. Great service and clean. Will go here often!

The garbage fries are delicious. It’s pretty much the only thing I get when I eat there. I have had other things like pizza and subs, and everything I get there is good. They used to be on foodler and I could order from my phone but they’re not anymore.

I had to confirm twice that the buffalo wings were unbreaded, because they’re almost unbelievably good. I try to eat low-​ish carb, and good unbreaded wings are surprisingly hard to find in the west burbs. Well, the search is over, everyone go home, this is the one.
Fast pickup, pretty good prices. I’ve never had anything but the wings, and frankly I can’t see that changing :)

We tried this based on Unilocal reviews. We loved it. Pizza was awesome. Nice thin crust and perfect amount of sauce and cheese. Salad was crisp and fresh. Boneless wings were great. Went with mild for the buffalo sauce bc my bf doesn’t like heat but I’d like to try the spicy next! Got a slice of chocolate mousse cake soooooooo good! We’ll be back!

My lasagna was very comforting on a cold rainy day. I am really gunning for trying the pizza. I had to take my dogs so I waited in car for order to be done and I talked a little about dogs with the lovely lady at the counter. She was so nice she even delivered my food to the car when it was done. For that five stars and everyone was soo nice coming back asap. Thanks again.

Fabulous! First timers from Framingham, tired of the pathetic places in our area. Wonderful thin (but not flatbread), chewy crust on the pizzas & generous toppings, too. Great sauce! We also tried the meatball grilled cheese after reading other Unilocal reviews and it did not disappoint!!!
Plum Tomato is practically on the Framingham border, so it was only an extra five minutes — well worth it!

This is a classic pizza joint. It was clean and the staff was Super Friendly.
We had the buffalo chicken tenders as well as the bone in chicken wings.
Buffalo tenders were excellent. The chicken was moist, breading was thick and I loved the buffalo sauce!
The chicken wings were moist with a crispy coating. The house seasonings were not my favorite. Simplifying the flavors in the dry rub should be considered.
I’m looking forward to trying the pizza next!

I have been eating here for several months now and I have to say that I am still extremely pleased! Every meal we’ve ordered has been top notch and the pizza remains high quality.
This weekend, we had a party and ordered two party pizzas. Both were perfectly cooked and tasted delicious!!!
The staff is always so polite and I love the fact that they repeat back the order when I call.

I think I would actually give 4.5 stars but I rounded up to five.
I got a gourmet grilled cheese (chipotle chicken) and it was delicious! My partner and I shared the garbage fries which were tasty but not fantastic… I found that the fries were rather soggy and the toppings were all poured on the center fries. My partner also got the chicken parm and received a huge portion. Prices are very reasonable and the man at the counter was extremely friendly.

I moved to M’boro five months ago and have easily had Plum five times a month. Great pizza, great wings (house bone-​in and boneless too), great gourmet grilled cheeses, great fried ravioli, great great great. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Dave, today. You can tell he is an honest man who would never sacrifice quality for profit.

My mom and I both bought groupons to Plum Tomato and we are so happy we did. We ordered the Hawaiian pizza, meatball grilled cheese, meatball sub and xl size buffalo wings. Everything was DELICIOUS. The man at the counter was very nice and patiently waited for my groupon to load. We will definitely be back at the Plum Tomato. Thanks for a great dinner!

I swear, there are at least ten different pizza shops in a five mile stretch of Boston Post Road (which is also US Route 20). None of the others are as well reviewed as The Plum Tomato and I see why.
Firstly, instead of boring pizza, this is interesting pizza. My eye was drawn to one they called The Landsdowne. Onions, peppers and sweet sausage. Oh, my. It was prepared to order, so while I waited about ten minutes, my laptop and I used up their free wi-​fi network (the password is their phone number).
When I got the pizza back to the hotel room, it was still quite hot but I realized that I had neglected to grab a plate. My fault, totally.
The pizza was delicious. Plenty of toppings, very flavorful. Five stars.

As self-​proclaimed pizza snobs, we LOVED this pizza! It’s by far, the best pizza we’ve had in the state of MA. The pizza was an amazing medley of delicious sauce, perfect amount of tasty cheese and a wonderful Italian-​style crust. VERY IMPRESSED and highly recommend The Plum Tomato for anyone craving a delicious pizza.
Oh, and the service was excellent with extremely friendly staff!

Came here based on Unilocal reviews and it was all worth it. I got the buffalo chicken salad while my friend got a philly cheese steak with fries. The food was fresh and delicious. The portions are big while the prices are low! I wish I wasn’t on a diet so I could eat more. There’s Mexican Coke, among other kinds of soda and a good selection of chips. The seating arrangement, lighting, décor, and color scheme were a nice bonus. The service is great — staff was very friendly and prompt! I’ll be back to try out the pizza.

New paint, new sign, new menu. A nice change. The basics are pretty standard fare. The cheesesteak is what you’d expect. The onion rings are thick and of the beer battered variety. If they’re not frozen, the batter could use a little kick. Not sure what, but they need something.
The real stars of this new menu are the grilled cheese sandwiches. I had the Smashed Meatball. It was hot, cheesy, and perfectly grilled on thick bread. Unique and delicious. A must try. Chips and pickle on the side make the perfect lunch. I won’t be able to stay away from these.
Service is friendly and they deliver. Love the new sign! Makes the outdated strip mall this place is in look less worn.
