Rating Chinese buffets… its good only because they have crab legs and large chopped lobster pieces and also large stir fried crabs for $ 11 w coupon otherwise if they didn’t have these items I would rate it a 3star. They have a large sushi area and other variety of food but it wasn’t that great. I would just go for the seafood.

When this place first opened up, it was actually nice. The food and sushi were both fresh and even the crab legs were decent, despite being gone in seconds. But since then, they have upped their pricing, got rid of HOT crab legs and only serve cold ones at the sushi bar, the shrimp are tiny, and the food is overly salty. For the first time tonight, I could barely eat anything. Never coming back. Sorry guys. This business is failing.

I went last night with a friend and will never go back. The food was mostly inedible. It is the first time I have ever had lobster that was so over cooked there was no meat left in the shell. The sushi was tasteless. We ended up eating a little bit of rice and leaving to go home and make dinner. The only time the waiter came to the table and ask if everything was okay was when he was walking away with the cash. Don’t waste your money.

I feel like I am just constantly seeing these Chinese seafood buffets up their game and this was no exception, raising the bar for buffets everywhere. First of all, it’s big and pretty. You’re greeted with one of those waterfall-wall fountain-fixture things. With lights. Real pretty. There is SOMUCH food. There’s a noodle and dim sum bar in the back, where you can make your own custom bowl of noodles.(ZOMG) There are 6 bars of food — seafoods, American food, fried foods, etc. There is a soup bar with TENDIFFERENTSOUPS, a few of which are great Chinese dessert soups. There’s the giant salad bar with SOMUCHDELICIOUSSUSHI and some great-looking desserts. And of course, a freezer full of ready-to-scoop ice cream and sherbet. Second, the price is right. $ 13 for dinner for adults? That’s fantastic for how much food there is and the quality that they’re offering. Let me just run down some of the food I got: — Fresh raw oysters — Definitely quite fresh, and you can easily get your money’s worth from your meal just by getting these — Snow crab legs — Okay I didn’t get a chance to eat these because a) more work than I like to deal with when shoveling food into my mouth but also b) there was consistently a huge line waiting to snatch up a plate full of them. They would disappear fast — Ginger scallion lobster — SOMUCHSUSHI you don’t even know and it was all so delicious — SOUPS like taro soup, sweet red bean soup(dessert soups) and egg drop soup but also Maryland crab soup? DANGYO. … okay you get the idea? They take it to the NEXTLEVEL Y’ALL. My only gripe would be about the fruit offered, but there was so much it was a miracle I was even able to eat any fruit afterwards. I was really wow-ed by the options available at this buffet. I can see why my dad dragged us here even though it’s not on the way from my old home in Edison to my new home in Maryland. ALSO our servers were super duper nice!

I have visited Kobe Grill 4 times in the past 6 months. When they first opened I would rave about their food to others. However my last 2 visits were quite disappointing as the quality of their food was not the same. The sushi was still good as always but the food that was in the buffet area was very dry and bad taste. It seemed like it was reheated in the microwave then thrown in the frig overnight and then reserved again the next day. On top of that the teenage girls that clean up and give you a clean plate seem to be more interested in texting in the corner than helping customers. The price is attractive but I would be willing to pay more for better quality food.

It was my first time here and it was pretty decent. I’m definitely a fan of sushi and I thought the sushi was super delicious! The rest of the food was just okay — the chicken I had was very hard and I only had a few bites of it before throwing it away. The servers were very attentive and nice, but one server was bringing crab legs to a table, which I thought wasn’t fair cause they got all the crab legs lol. But overall, it was a pleasant experience. They had a huge selection of food from sushi to desserts which was definitely pleasant. The one thing, I would complain about is the lighting. First, my boyfriend and I were seated under an orange light which made the environment a super weird color, it was just plain weird to be eating in such strange lighting. The other thing would be the lack of lighting in the food area near the ice cream bar, it was just so dim. Overall, it was definitely a pleasant experience and we will probably make another trip in the future.

I thought the food was great and the service was excellent. We were greeted right away by the hostess and by the girl who was going to be taking care of our table. As soon as she saw we had a toddler she offered a highchair. I am not a sushi person so I cannot speak for the sushi but I tried a variety of different things and I was pleased. And so was my husband.

I probably should’ve known from the relatively mixed Unilocal reviews that this place wasn’t going to be anything special. I am not much of a Chinese buffet guy anymore, mainly because Chinese food is low quality to begin with, and when consumed in massive quantities, it just flat out makes me feel terrible. I was hoping that Kobe Grill would prove me wrong, but that was wishful thinking on my part. If you aren’t much for quality and more for quantitiy, then I would recommend the Kobe Grill. For one thing, this place is massive! They have everything from Chinese food, to sushi, to a wok station, to fried delicacies, to cakes, ice cream, and fruit. I know it all sound amazing, but the food was just so bland tasting and most dishes I ate were extremely greasy. Their only saving grace was their bathroom, which was absolutely beautiful.(I always say that you can tell a lot about a restaurant from their bathroom, but I’m not so sure that applies in this case). If you are looking for a cheap buffet for $ 8, then Kobe Grill may be right up your alley, but if you don’t want to feel sluggish and horrible for the rest of the day after eating here, then I would steer clear of this place.

Absolutely Tasteless. Steer clear of this place. So sad. Was hoping to see a good restaurant in this dead shopping center…

I’m usually not a fan of the Asian buffets, but I was pleasantly surprised. I’m a huge sushi and seafood fan which I what I generally eat when I come here. Everything seems very fresh and there is a large variety of sushi. If you go online you can print out a coupon and it will only cost $ 10.99/adult which is insanely cheap for the amount of food you get. I honestly don’t know how they do it!

The food was barely warm on several different buffet stations. It was dinner time so there is no excuse. The Hibachi Grill was very disappointing, the cook barely knew what he was doing. I won’t be going back…

I’ll keep it real. I go here to eat the freaking lobster. The lobster is the highlight of this place. Otherwise, this place is nothing special. The sushi selection is not all that great. The food is pretty average. The phở is a cool idea, but that is not really phở. Phở is fairly cheap anyways, I rather go to an authentic Vietnamese place for some real phở. Waitresses are nice and friendly.

We stopped in for dinner and were seated right away. The typical asian food buffet fare was available. The noodle bar was open and was tastey. The sushi was okay. I have had fresher at sushi bars but for a buffet it wasn’t bad. The service was friendly and they were very quick to clear plates and bring us our drink refills. The lobster dish was always quickly cleared out and a constant wait for them. The price for dinner is comparable to other places. They do offer discounts to military, police, students and senior citizens which is helpful. This buffet is close to home and decent food so we will probably return.

Although this buffet has more of a variety than any other buffets I’ve been to, I believe it should only get two stars. I came here twice thinking that the second time my experience would be much better. But still, many of the foods tasted bland. I love the idea of the«noodle bar» but the noodles did not taste good and the meat was definietely not fresh. The sushi and sashimi was awful. I was very disappointed, especially since a couple of my friends recommedned it to me. Don’t get me wrong, the place is very nice and decorative and the waitors aren’t bad at all. But I believe a person mainly goes to the buffet for the food. I’m sad to say I won’t be coming here again.

If you’re a fan of Asian buffets, this is a go to place for you. I lost count of how many seperate bars there were which included everything from suishi, the standard Chinese bar selections, salad, dessert and a multitude of other things including ham, turkey, mac and cheese — the list was endless. The suishi was very good and fresh. Some of the Chinese bar selections like General Tso’s chicken also good. Service was also good and for a lunch price of $ 7.99 can’t be beat(also, we had a coupon so got $ 3.00 off). In other words the price can’t be beat.

I normally don’t even like buffets but went here with the parents. This buffet is way above the quality and variety of most buffets. Kobe offers sushi, oysters, shrimp, crab legs, a hibachi grill, a phở soup bar, ice cream bar. Easily worth the $ 13 for an adult. I was surprised that the food looked so fresh. For sushi, the rolls were fairly basic so if you primarily want sushi I would head to Sushi Kingdom down the street. But, they have sushi chefs making the rolls during dinner so the sushi here is fresh. You also can’t beat the price for the value. I don’t know where these other reviewers eat at but one oyster at most restaurants is $ 1.75 with a half dozen being around $ 11. I had a half dozen and two sushi rolls which easily covered my buffet price… and then of course I had a salad, fresh fruit, and hibachi to round it out. Def worth $ 13.

This place is OK. The qualiy of the food is ok. Lots of options… noodle bar, hibatchi bar, 10 soups(some are scary), sushi, and tons of buffet food. Lunch is $ 9 and with a coupon it is $ 7.50. Anyone who posts on here about food quality… you get what you pay for. Sushi is average, food is average… but really — what do you want for a $ 7.50 lunch. Dinner — offers more options, lobster, scallops for @$ 16 and they have a $ 2.50 off coupon. Once again… what kind of Lobster and buffet do you want for under $ 15. Overall — food for value — worth it. I would go back.

I edited my review because of my second trip to Kobe this past weekend. **The sushi was just as fresh the second time around. The place was packed, but we were able to be seated right away. The Chinese buffet was better than last time, as it was a lot busier and the food was being turned over fairly quick.** MYFIRSTREVIEWISBELOW. There are a ton of sushi choices, and since we got there fairly early on Sunday, it was very fresh. There are basic rolls, and elaborate rolls smothered in mystery sauces, so it caters to every type of mid-grade sushi lover. The Chinese buffet, however, was lacking. I had a few shrimp-centric items but all of the shrimp was mushy. Fried, wok’d or baked, they all had the same texture. The buffet didn’t have a ton of options, but the sushi more than made up for it. I tried frogs legs for the first time and they weren’t half bad! Tastes like chicken! If you hit the noodle bar, just know that the beef they use is very chewy and sinewy, not unlike the beef that us used in traditional Phở. I will probably skip the buffet food and stick to the sushi and hibachi. They have eight different ice creams and TONS of fresh fruit. Yummy. Overall, not bad.

For just opening this buffet spot is pretty nice looking inside and outside. It’s unfortunate that the strip mall it’s located doesn’t have many succeeding businesses but hopefully this place will help thrive it again. It’s mostly focused on sushi and Chinese food this place. This is one of the more unique buffets in the south jersey area. They have a large selection of sushi, soups and regular buffet foods with hibachi station and a noodle bar. They had good choices for the vegans, meat eaters, and seafood lovers. What made this place unique from other similar buffets is they have a noodle bar where you can pick the kind of noodles you want, vermicelli, udon, or yellow pick the kind of broth. They had curry broth which was unique and you could pick a meat to place it and have it as a soup. Pretty cool and different. Be sure to use their coupons that are out.
