Went there for dinner, met by a man at the door, stating they closed for good, states Friday(7÷4÷2014) was their last dinner service. Sad to see it go

From the start the environment is settle and nice. The usual Italian scenario of a small restaurant. Appetizers come in large portions. My girlfriend and I ordered bruschetta and calamari and it was a serving for four. The entrees were great, both got pasta. Large portions, plenty for leftovers. Other than the waitress bringing the mood down because she hated her life the food was great! A nice plus is that it is BYOB.

My Wife and I had dinner here tonight and could not have been happier. There is a reason why there is a good wait on the weekends .its called GOODFOOD. The Bread as a start with the garlic spiced cream cheese is a nice touch. The salads included with the entrees were exceptional… truly one of the better included salads I have had in recent memory. Service was excellent(Melanie) My Wife had the Bronzino and Crab over Arugula and Mango. A different dish truly terrific .A Mediteranean style dish. I had the Chicken Valdostana which was excellent in a rich orange tomato sauce with a touch of cream. The vegetable sides were very good. We will certainly be back… and we have had excellent meals there years ago.

Moderately priced, good wholesome food. The portions were generous. And they weren’t cheap with the bread. They bring out roasted peppers and a special cream cheese with their bread. Very good.

Gourmet Italian food-a cut above the rest. Excellent homemade pasta! Lunch is excellent from beginning to end! Dinner is pricey – but still just as delicious.

We tried this place after buying one of those groupon or living social deals. It was really close to home but I had no idea this place even existed. It’s in the same strip mall where Whole Foods is btw(on gps and google maps, it’s considered to be Mount Laurel so that was a little confusing). To be honest, I can’t even remember what I ordered. Maybe the Bolognese? Hubs ordered the Calimari pasta. Portions were nicely sized. I eat a lot but my leftovers felt like it was 3 pounds. It is a kid-friendly place and my husband said he’d come back. Me, probably not… maybe the byo’s in Collingswood has spoiled me. I really wanted to love it since it is so close by. But it is a popular place! There were a lot of people waiting.

Exploring the area and tried the restaurant after reading the rave reviews. If I could give it 3.5 stars I would. We ordered the Chicken Princepessa and the Chicken Valdostana. The presentation leaves a lot to be desired. The Valdostana came out looking like two sausages lost in a bowl of sauce. The Princepessa was similarly sloppy in its plating. The Princepessa made up a lot of ground with the delicate white sauce, but I found the giant red pepper overwhelming. The Valdostana was over cooked and tough. It was similar to a Sauerbraten– imagine the Germans invading Italy: tough but tasty. The flavors were good but the dishes need refinement. The Valdostana came with a pasta side, but it was served with a simple red sauce. The dish would have played better serve over the pasta. The ambience was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant has mellow lighting, muted colors, and a soft sound track playing. Conversation flowed around us without being intrusive. The staff was actually friendly and attentive. Best of all, the price was right. Maybe not a home run, but it warrants a come back.

I just ate here for the first time with a bunch of coworkers. The food was so tasty and the staff was friendly. Great for a group and seems like it would be nice to do a date night too. I really wanted to surf for some records over at Tunes after lunch but I had to get back to the office…

While service has consistently not been the greatest, I continue to come back for the food. The Mara Tara is terrific(shrimp, crab meat, sun dried tomatoes, asparagus, and mushrooms in a blush sauce on spinach pasta), and I order it every time I go in. The antipasta is very good, and the house salad is one of my favorites. I wish they would improve the service, at my most recent visit our server was even getting yelled at by another server for standing around talking instead of helping us. They also take forever to seat you when there are clearly empty tables all over the restaurant. BYOB

The food is always consistent. Be sure to ask for the herb butter, it used to be standard on the table but now you have to ask. The portions are large so expect left overs after you eat bread, soup/salad and then your meal.

La Posata is another restaurant located within walking distance from my work. We go there every so often for lunch. The restaurant is very nice inside and the service also is very good. They make their own pasta and they have two dining rooms in the back. The restaurant has been here for quite some time while others have come and gone. That is always a good sign. I only have been there for lunch so I am unable to comment on the dinner menu. The lunch menu is pretty varied, They have salads, paninis and pasta. The prices are in $ 9.00 -$ 14.00 range for lunch. They also have daily specials. La Posata’s Chicken Caesar salad is really good. La Posata gives you fresh bread with your meal. Everything is prepared freshly. It is a very good place for a business lunch or in the mood for a bit of a slightly upscale lunch. I really would like the ½ star to for 3.5.

it’s a cute little restaurant right here in Marlton. we went at a strange hour in the afternoon so we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. the food was great! loved the corn chowder as starter! it was creamy with assorted veggies which gave it that colorful hue to get your appetite going! i had the mushroom risotto and he had the scallop penne. both weren’t super heavy in flavor which gave it a little bit of the home cooking feeling. i loved the scallop pasta which had the lemon zest and light buttery taste. a side note: my family also got take outs from them before so i also had the opportunity to try their veggie pasta(Forgot the name) and a crab seafood pasta. both were full of flavor! generous portion sizes and lots of meat/veggie! with the noodles. i’d def recommend the seafood pasta if you’re looking for something that holds more of a kick in taste. service was so-so, maybe b/c we were there during the off hours of the day. the staff seems to be preoccupied with prepping for dinner service. the only other thing about this place was the price~ it’s slightly higher than the prices of olive garden, let’s say. so be prepared. this is literally 2 mins from my house, so i would def recommend coming here for a nice and casual date. it’s also a good spot to catch dinner before a movie which is right next door.

The wife and I ended up dining at La Posata with family and friends one night when we were unable to secure a reservation at La Locanda; yes I was attempting to give La Locanda another shot but I guess that had to wait. The atmosphere at La Posata is casual and friendly. Even though it did take a significant amount of time to provide members of my party with their beverages, the staff was pleasant and attentive enough. So far so good right? Once you take the food into consideration you are looking at 2.5 stars at best. After reviewing the menu, I decided on the Veal Parmigiana, but before I get into the details of my entrée, lets start out with the appetizers. We ordered an order of calamari, and the broccoli rabe spring rolls for the table. The calamari was calamari. There was nothing really bad about it, and nothing really good about it. The broccoli rabe spring rolls were not bad, but I would not order them again. In regards to the veal, lets just say when I dine at La Posata in the future; the veal will not be an option for me. It was bland at best. The pasta that was served with my dish was dry, and the sauce/gravy whatever you call it was extremely bland and they were pretty damn stingy with it. What I also found troubling was that the pasta was served in a bowl I would use to eat cereal out of. I am not sure why the pasta was not served on a plate with the veal. Next trip I am going to ask if I can have my pasta served on my plate. To be fair my wife enjoyed her Linguini with calamari, so the night was not a total wash. Plus if every course was dessert I would be giving this place at least four stars right now. So with that said, I will probably give La Posata another chance, and there are signs of hope.

I’m so glad my friend turned me on to this little gem, because otherwise I certainly would have never found it in the shadows of TGIF Fridays. First thing’s first, La Posata passes the bread test! The bread was very good, and they provide you with olive oil instead of just butter to do your dipping. My entrée was delicious. I had the tortellini Gorgonzola and enjoyed every bite. Everything that was being served up here looked delicious as well. In my estimation, La Posata is just as good as any Philly spot, which usually isn’t the case in Jersey! Oh, and it’s a BYOB, which essentially rounds out my trifecta for a perfect Italian dining experience. I can’t wait to go back!

This is a fabulous Italian restaurant in an unassuming storefront of a strip mall next to Whole Foods. They make all of their pasta in house, and it is DELICIOUS, and the service is always excellent. I have been here for business lunches, staff dinner parties, and date nights, every time receiving exceptional service from this family owned place, and loving the food. My office has also ordered in from here to our office meetings and even the take out is great. They send it with tons of fresh bread and butter, and the food always arrives hot. One of my FAVORITE dishes is the cheese tortellini in gorgonzola sauce… it is VERY rich, but oh so delicious. The gorgonzola sauce is a soft flavor, not biting as some gorgonzolas are, I think once they melt it, the flavor really mellows out. On the lunch menu, I also love the seafood salad, a bed of spring greens, vegetables, and lumb crab on top… it’s delicious. They dont’ take reservations for parties less than five, so keep that in mind, there can be a wait on Saturday nights.

Local family Italian restaurant and catering. Location is behind TGIFridays in the strip mall section, next to Heavenly Ham. Coupons are available in the Couponclipper magazine or . $ 5.00 off two lunch entrees(dine-in only) and $ 10 off two dinner entrees(dine-in only). There are expiration dates on the coupons so check before printing or clipping. BYOB. When you enter the restaurant, you are immediately greeted by a «deli counter.» An all glass counter that displays fresh pasta, pastries and desserts to sell. Walk past the counter to the hostess station where you will be seated. Specials are listed on the chalkboard above the hostess station. Tables are covered with linen cloths, with cloth napkins as well. Dinner menu includes pasta, veal, seafood, salads, chicken, etc. It appears they may change their menu every so often because there were specific dishes other reviewers recommended that were not listed. Perhaps they were specials too. All entrees come with soup or salad and a side of pasta or veggie. All pasta dishes come with a soup or salad but no side. They serve their homemade pasta in their dishes. Fresh bread is served with butter, but ask for olive oil and balsamic vinegar to make your own dipping oil. Red pepper flakes and grated parm cheese are on the tables. I did not try any appetizers on this visit, but I did enjoy my salad. What a great house dressing and fresh greens. The soup is served in a cup size. I ordered the Veal Marsala while my other guests ordered two pasta dishes and one special. They enjoyed their entrees very much. I was very pleased with my dish. The veal was cooked perfectly — not tough or chewy. Excellent jumbo gulf shrimp with sundried tomatoes, portabellas, and pine nuts. It was a great combination for a Veal Marsala dish. Price was $ 24.95, and it was enough to take half of my meal home because I wanted to save room for dessert. Prices range between $ 15.95 — $ 28.95. Pasta entrees on the lower end to the seafood and veal on the higher end. Desserts are presented on a tray to showcase. I wanted Tiramisu, but they did not have any for that evening. I had a chocolate cake with choc. moose… OHMY… it was love at first sight. If you are a chocolate lover and you love fudge, this is the dessert for you. It is big enough to share as well, but you may not want to go that route. I definitely recommend this place, and I will be returning. I read a few mixed reviews, but I have to say for a Wednesday night, this place was packed. Enjoy!

I ate here while on business and lucked out. The restaurants near my hotel, the Aloft, we’re mostly chain ones. The Miller’s Ale House next door was packed. I really just wanted a quiet dinner after a long day. I got attentive service, a really good meal, and it was really reasonable for cost. Ignore the chain restaurants and walk right past the Friday’s for a nice local experience. Thanks!

Surprisingly enjoyable. They’re practically in a secret location, tucked away in a strip mall with minimal signage, never saw and ad, but when I went, they were busy at lunchtime. Food was very good, service was excellent!(Pam) Definitely warrants a 2nd visit.
