Nikki’s Artistry

Nikki and her girls were great to work with! I was considered only because I typically wear very little makeup so while I wanted to «dress up» of course, for my wedding, I did not want to feel uncomfortable or look overdone as it is just not me. She pulled off exactly what I wanted so perfectly. I even wore those lashes all night :) Thank you Nikki. You were such a pleasure to work with and I would recommend you to anyone!

I recently used Nikki as my makeup artist for a boudoir shoot I was doing for my fiancé’s wedding gift. A few weeks before the shoot I realized I didn’t have a makeup appointment scheduled, so I quickly googled makeup artists near me and Nikki’s name came up. After reading all the great reviews I decided to email her to see if she was available on the shoot day. She responded almost immediately and gave me a rundown of prices. I only used her for makeup, but she said she would be able to do my hair if needed. The day of the appointment she arrived at my house right on time and was very friendly and professional, but at the same time laid back and easy to talk to. Not knowing anything about boudoir photos, I didn’t know what I want I wanted my makeup to look like. Nikki asked me questions about what my vibe for the shoot was and helped me decide on a look that would fit best. I was so happy with my makeup and glad I went with her. The photos looked amazing and my makeup looked freshly done through the whole shoot, after sweating and all. I will definitely use Nikki again!

I had a wonderful experience with Nikki! Not only did she rearrange her schedule to help me out last minute, but she was always super fast with getting back to my emails/​messages and her make up skills are even better! We had our make up done for my wedding and she started at 11am… at 2am, after a day and night of celebrating — our make up still looked great! It never smeared or ran. Nikki was great to work with, she made sure we all loved the way we looked (even if that meant adding or removing make up!). I cannot say enough about her — I would recommend her to anyone I know. If you’re lucky to have her, don’t miss out!

I can not say enough about how wonderful Nikki is. She was my on-​location makeup artist for my wedding day. I am pretty particular about my makeup and have been doing the same routine for the past 14 years, so I was a little unsure how I would be made up for my wedding. But, she worked magic and I never felt so beautiful. My bridesmaids, mom, and mother-​in-​law, could not stop saying how perfect their makeup was — and all of these women are usually bare-​faced. My makeup stayed on all night and photographed beautifully. Nikki was very approachable and willing to add more eyeliner to people on more than one occasion. She was easy to communicate with and was an great addition to my wedding day morning. I just wish I had another reason to call her for makeup, because she is incredible.

This girl is seriously a miracle! I am VERY picky about my hair… to the point I used to fly back to Chicago to have the same girl do it for 7 years. I have red hair and have found that Wella works the best for me. The first day I moved to Jersey from Atlanta, I saw Nikki out, and being bold as I felt, just went up to her and told her I absolutely loved her hair. She was so open and nice and started to tell me that she actually does hair and makeup! Total SCORE!!! One major thing I need to knock of my bucket list! Anyway, we exchanged information, and the best part was, is she was able to work with hair formula I had and was able to meet me on location! She immediately put me at ease, and totally rocked my first haircut and color! I was picky about my wella formula, but now trust her. just after 3 TIMES to adjust my color a little bit (it will always be wella red) and the freedom to rock my cut. She is not pushy, completely listens, and is able to offer some awesome suggestions as to how to style my bob and bangs. I have short hair and it is red, so every detail is important. She is such a perfectionist and I have NEVER been happier with MY hair! I have even «treated» myself to some of the «top salons» in NYC, Chicago, and Boston in the past, and the way she does and continues to do my hair, totally schools those. I have never felt prettier and more confident in your hair. I mean you do wear it every day, so why not make it perfect! That is what Nikki Evans does. Go see her!!!

I have used Nikki for both my business and and personally. She has been doing my hair and make up for my boudoir photography business. I also used her for my wedding. She is always on time! Which is so important when it comes to your wedding day! She does a great job, and works within the time she is given.

I used to work with Nikki and knew she did make-​up, so when I got engaged, she was the first person I asked. She was so excited for me and truly and genuinely cared that I look my best. I had so many questions during my make-​up trial, she answered with knowledge, and put my mind at ease. I gave her a few inspiration pictures to give her an idea of the look I wanted and she nailed it. I went to a baby shower that day and everyone asked if I was doing some type of modeling or acting because it looked so professional, She arrived early the day of my wedding and took the time to listen to each one of my bridesmaids and give them the look they wanted. They all LOVED it so much. Some were even worried because they have had bad experiences in the past, but she worked her magic and we all looked beautiful. I couldn’t have imagined anyone else doing this extremely crucial job the day of my wedding, and so happy she was available and enthusiastic about being there with me. I highly recommend Nikki, not only because of her work, but because she is the nicest person that not only makes you look beautiful, but makes you feel beautiful as well.

I can’t say enough about this girl! She met me at a local Panera Bread to discuss my hair and makeup for my upcoming wedding. We hit it off immediately. She was so sweet and patient with all of my questions. I had been having a lot of issues with acne and I was really worried about it. She assured me not worry and even went to Ulta after lunch with me to go over a skin care regimen that would help soothe my skin (which totally worked)!! After my engagement ended abruptly she was so kind hearted and even she arranged a boudoir shoot to help get my confidence back up. My hair and makeup was AMAZING! I felt like a total supermodel. I was just floored by her kindness and how she went out of her way to make me feel better. Stuff like that is unheard of these days.
Since then I’ve become quite the regular with lash and hair extensions. Anytime I’m going to a wedding or event, she’s my go to girl. Affordable, friendly and kindhearted… it doesn’t get better than that! :)

I used Nikki for a headshot shoot. Her prices are reasonable, she is easy going and stayed for the entire shoot, doing touch ups as needed. She also used make-​up that was suited to the lights and other demands of a photo studio.
Now, make-​up wise I am only sorry that I was doing headshots because that equals «normal» make-​up and I just KNOW she could make me look SUPER GLAM!
One day, I will hire her to do this…
