Rizzieri Salon and Spa

Their new location is beautiful, modern and spacious! I HIGHLY recommend Lauren as my color has never looked this good. Sam and Ashley do an amazing blowout! Lasts for days. The girls at the front desk are also always super sweet and helpful ! No other salon in this area compares:)

i have to say reading the reviews i agree with so many people. i went there 3 times when they were in marlton and awful everytime. let me first say that check in is stupid– when u walk in, u think thats check in so you stand there, and its actually check out. then when the lady at the front asks you if you are checking in, she rolls her eyes and says, «other side» like you’re supposed to know with NO signs and she tries to make you feel like your an idiot. Everytime ive gone there its the same lady. she is a flat out bit*h. I dont know how they employ someone with NO customer service skills. Man i wanted to punch her right in the face, and if i saw her step outside, i may have. The prices are ridiculous for sub par service. I hate sitting in a color room. No mirrors? I realized why. Everytime foils were not where I wanted. I want to be able to see what my stylist is doing. its awful. hate being shuffled from room to room and lugging my things around. unprofessional and overpriced. will not go back.

Great service — wonderful staff! Carmen does an excellent job for all sorts of waxes and pedicures. I’ve also had a massage and facial and would highly recommend them for a relaxing spa treatment!

Had a great massage by Sandy. Very relaxing and she asked all the right questions before hand. The front area could use a little work but they are moving soon, so they are probably holding off until then. Receptionist could have given a little more info beside pick a locker, such as, here’s where everything is. Overall, I’d go back.

I went for hair cut and highlights which were nice. Johnny, a major prima donna left me sitting in his chair with wet hair for 20 minutes while he consulted with a woman who was waiting. He never apologized. That was it for me. I found the whole salon to be unfriendly and unwelcoming. I would never recommend them.

WOW! love this salon, my stylist Jessica is wonderful– very down to earth and very talented. my hair is shoulder length Low and high lights, cuts, and I have my brows done every monthly visit–

After a month of having this haircut, most days have been bad hair days. I’m not acting dramatic. It’s a fact. I don’t know if Tiffany, the stylist, was distracted or having an off day, but her work was just plain awful. I specifically told her from the start of the session that I needed a fix from my previous haircut, where the stylist had thinned out my hair (major no-​no on my fine tresses) and that I wanted a clean update. What I’m left with is hair that falls awkwardly and limply on right side (I changed my part so I could try to attempt some fullness and body), unevenness throughout, and overall lack of any type of styling. The layers don’t have any type of blending which adds to my frustration. Immediately after my visit I thought that it would get better as time went on. No, only became worse and more pronounced with the mistakes.
I’m mad and I wish I lived closer so a different stylist at Rizzieri could fix this. My mother has seen Tiffany for years. Maybe she’s good with her repeat customers. Maybe creativity isn’t her strong point so if you stick with something simple you might do fine.

I went for a cut and color. Hairdressers were nice but I felt like i was at a hair cut factory. They move you along from one place to another and everything they do is mediocre. I did a basic cut and a single color and was charged 180 $. I found this to be excessive considering the way your are treated and for the quality of service. Will never go back and I would not recommend anyone to go there.

I have been to other places for massages but every time I come to Rizzieri’s I realize why I like it so much. This is one of the few places in the area that has the whole ‘spa experience’. The spa is on the lower level and is nice and quiet. The changing room is small but I have never been in there with anyone else so it never mattered. They have the couches in the main area with teas, coffees and bagels. The massage itself was great. The masseuse was chatting with me at first but definitely took the hint that I wanted quiet when my answers became one word. I have never been to the salon but it was very busy.

Unfortunately, had a very similar experience to Elizabeth M.‘s. I have had a couple of good waxing experiences in the past at Rizzieri (and have been particularly impressed with the aestheticians’ speed) but this last time (December 14) was a bust. The waxer missed a few easy-​to-​reach spots that I didn’t notice until I got home (as I wasn’t provided with a mirror to take a look) and the first wax application burned me. My whole bikini area has ended up irritated. Looks like I’m going to have to go elsewhere next time, unfortunately.

What was supposed to be a $ 65 Brazilian wax (seriously overpriced) was really a poorly done bikini wax. She was a sweetheart, but she didn’t wax everything like she was supposed to. I had to return to have the same person correct what she missed and even then she didn’t get everything the second time either. I actually had to remind her that she’s supposed to get the back (how awkward!) which she begrudgingly did. It was not a great experience. Surprisingly she’s been there for over a decade. I complained so the manager gave me a gift certificate of $ 27 (to equal out the price of a bikini wax). But their massages are pretty decent. So I’ll go there for that.

I was here for a girls spa day with my mom and aunt who both had gift cards. Thanks to my dad I was treated to a facial, spa manicure, and spa pedicure. Christina did my facial and it was heavenly! We discussed my skin a little and because I have pretty decent skin, we got right into it. It was so relaxing, Christina’s hands are so gentle, and my skin looks and feels great! My aunt and I got settled in for our pedicures. My feet were in desperate need and despite having cuts on my toes (bad choice of shoes the night before) they look and feel wonderful now. As do my nails! Everyone was so accommodating, making sure we had something to drink or a magazine to read. The girls was were so friendly and made us feel right at home.
This was a total splurge day but if I’m ever in the mood to treat myself again, I’ll be back!

Massage & Color! First time visiting a Rizzieri’s & it upon walking in I felt welcomed! Everyone was friendly & willing to assist me. I was there to get a massage from Amanda & made me feel like I was in massage heaven! I got up off the massage bed feeling like I was in a new body! I’m bad with my hair & I have color which is an extra no no when you don’t keep up with your hair. Gina who is a bundle of fun energy assured me I was in good hands. Provided me with a touch up with permanent hair color & a gloss too for my ends (something that would restore my hair) & now I’m a fan of Moroccan oils! I would suggest if you have a chance to visit Rizzieri do so! You won’t be disappointed! Thanks to Amanda & Gina for my first salon experience, I’m sure to come visit again

This is actually a review for Rizzieri’s spa as I’ve never actually received services at their salon. I’ve gone on two separate occasions. The first time, I had a wonderful massage with Sandy. This week, I had a facial with Christina.
Backing up to when my trio arrived, we admittedly walked in right at our appointment time, which is definitely a spa faux pas. We were extremely apologetic and even offered to pay the receptionist up front before our treatments, which she turned down. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that she was rude, but she definitely wasn’t warm and friendly.
We robed up in record time and walked into the waiting lounge just as my name was being called. Christina has fiery red hair and bears a striking resemblance to Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks. She also gives great facial. For an hour I was rubbed with potions and creams all while nestled in a cocoon of blankets, my hands covered in lotion and inserted into warming mitts. My neck and shoulders received plenty of attention also, and the tightness in my neck from some recent strength training has completely vanished.
At the beginning of my session, Christina offered to write down some recommended products after we discussed my skin. After our respective appointments, my mom and I paid together and it was then that we realized the receptionist had papers for another woman with the same name as me but a different address. We pointed this out but she didn’t really seem to make any corrections on her computer. In the shuffle, I never did receive the papers that had the suggested products. I’m sure that other Michelle will appreciate it on her next visit.
A spa experience should be just that, an experience. From the time she walks in to the time she walks out, a woman should feel like she has no cares in the world. I really only felt that way during my treatment, since the customer service at the reception was no better than what I’d expect from a department store. Nonetheless, I would definitely return since the treatments I’ve received from Sandy and Christina and the facility itself are top notch.

I used to go to Rizzieri for waxing and I’ve had both good and bad experiences. I was «assigned» to Joelle the first time I went and she is WONDERFUL. She is very professional and really made me feel comfortable. I don’t know if she writes this stuff or if she just remembers it, but she could recall what we had been talking about the month before and just pick up the conversation from there. She did her best to make the «procedure» pain-​free, though obviously there is going to be pain with waxing.
I will not be going back though, and it is no fault of hers. I found a different place that is much less expensive and uses a different kind of wax, which is MUCH less painful that the way Rizzieri does it.
Also, I have to say that I have had a few disappointing incidences. One time I was booked incorrectly by whoever took my appointment, despite my giving her the date. When I arrived and found out, they were quick to try and rectify the situation though I ended up with a woman doing my waxing (someone who’s name started with an M) who did not know what she was doing. She made me uncomfortable and she didn’t even do a good job! She missed complete patches and I ended up trying to pluck them (OUCH!). It had gotten progressively harder for me to get an appointment, and the receptionist comes across condescending in her tone and the constant use of the word «hun.»
My bottom line: if I had not found this other salon (about half an hour away, but close to my office), I would still be going to Rizzieri… but ONLY for Joelle.

I used to love this salon, but it has progressively gotten worse and worse.
You can make an appointment, but be prepared because you will usually have to wait at least ½ hour to an hour before you are actually waited on, an that’s only to get the consultation. At first, they were great about my hair (good color, good consult, etc.). But since they are always busy and triple booked, they rush rush rush. I asked for white blonde, and ended up with bright yellow hair, hideous brown underneath and ¼ of my hair missing highlights. It blended right into my skin and it looked like I was bald, it was terribly embarrassing. I didn’t notice until I arrived home and dried it. I called the next day and let them know that I would not be returning and was very unhappy. The girl briefly apologized and quickly rushed me off the phone. If they don’t care enough to even attempt to keep me, well then I unfortunately don’t care enough to stay. I am moving on.

Melissa L. has been doing my eyebrows here for like, 12 years (GEEZ, has it been that long?). She does them perfectly everytime.

Let me preface this review by saying I’ve had extensive hair traumas in my life. But when I switched over to Rizzieri and met Rosa all that changed. Her personal and extensive experience with my hair type (massive, curly) put me at ease. Stylists at Rizzieri really know their stuff and if I can find my styling soulmate, so you can you.
Spa technicians are great, too. The mani/​pedi service left no cuticle unclipped and no nail blemished. Carmen is lovely and thorough.
If your spending the day at the spa or have time while your color sets you can stop by the café serving food from a local restaurant (currently Pietro’s) or browse one of the two clothing shops that share the building.
I will say the place is a bit unkempt. Salons get busy, but keeping tidy should be a priority.

Major issues with this salon.
I went there for a massage and was placed in the last room. Apparently there was a problem with the volume of the music, which the masseuse apologized for, but it was either very low or very high. I guess «medium» wasn’t an option.
She switched the music a few times to see which worked, but if it was on low, I heard the heels clicking around upstairs and the people yacking as they walked down the hallway (aren’t spa personnel supposed to know to be quiet if sessions are going on?).
When it was on loud, it was so uncomfortable that there was no way to be relaxed.
I had a pedicure on another date. A very expensive pedicure. Afterwards I still had rough feet. I’ve paid for crappy, expensive pedicures before so whatever… I usually stick to the places in the city for $ 20 but when a colleague said this place was great, I gave them another shot.
What I WASN’T expecting was when I removed my dark red toe nail polish two weeks later was there to be A FUNGUS on my big toenail. Not a stained toenail from the dark polish, a legit fungus that my podiatrist had to give me a treatment for. My toenails were completely fine before going to Rizzieri.
I’ve run into Aestheticians in Philadelphia and SNJ that had been trained at the Rizzieri school, and while they all agree their training was exceptional, they confessed they would never work there.
Stay away. Worst salon experiences of my life.

I’ve been going to Rizzieri Spa in Marlton since they opened and I have never had a bad experience. The staff is the best — professional, caring and kind.
My daughter and I usually try to book mani/pedi’s with Reese, who works part time, but everyone there is excellent. Our favorite facialists are Melissa, Cynthia, Joelle. for massages we like Joan, Mandy, and Sandy. Carmen also is great for facials as well as mani’s & pedi’s. But as I said earlier everyone that works in the spa is excelllent at what they do. this spa is well managed and they appreciate their patrons. I have never had a bad experience there.
